Fully Leveled Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1493: Chapter 1493: Workshop Stewards

Before long, Daniu came in with a few stewards.

Luo Chun from the melon seeds workshop, Ruan Dali from the oil pressing workshop, and Wang Kangfu from the Instant Noodles workshop.

And Dazhuang, who runs around the prefecture over there.

Dazhuang is the brother of Daqiang, who plants ten acres of sunflowers. He had been looking for work in the prefecture for some time, so he was quite familiar with it. Shu Yu asked for his thoughts and later arranged for him to promote Instant Noodles in the prefecture.

Last time Shu Yu returned from Changjin Prefecture, she noticed several stores had begun selling Instant Noodles, all thanks to Dazhuang’s efforts.

Since he was at the workshop today, Daniu brought him along too.

There weren’t many people, but after experiencing this period of training, each one of them was quite spirited.

They had likely heard from Daniu about discussing the upcoming shop opening in the prefecture, so as soon as they entered, they sat down, took a sip of water, and directly started talking.

“I think the jingle idea is good, but how to create one is the question.”

“Hasn’t Dazhuang spent a lot of time in the prefecture? Are there any popular jingles over there?”

“Dazhuang, you’ve seen a lot and know the prefecture well, why don’t you try creating one?”

Being looked at by the group, even someone as thick-skinned as Dazhuang felt a bit embarrassed.

He scratched his head, “How would I know how to do that?”

Daniu laughed, “No worries, give it a try. If it doesn’t work, we can try something else.”

“Then… should I really give it a try?”

“Go ahead.”

Dazhuang cleared his throat, thought for a moment, and then began, “Melon seeds are good, melon seeds are wonderful, our melon seeds are the tastiest, fragrant and delicious yet cheap. Everyone come and take a look…”

“Wait, wait, wait.” Luo Chun quickly stopped him, “That’s not a jingle, that’s hawking.”

Dazhuang, “…” Upon thinking it over, it indeed seemed that way.

The thing is, back when he was working in the prefecture, he had also done some small vendor work. Although his business was not great, the hawking had become a habit.

He sighed, “Well, you guys say something then.”

Ruan Dali spoke up, “I think, you need certain skills to create a jingle, it’s like writing an article.”

So everyone glanced towards Wang Kangfu. The stewards present, while trying their best to study and read, could only understand contracts and account books, merely capable of calculating numbers. Creating articles requires systematic teaching, which they couldn’t do at all.

Except for… Wang Kangfu.

Wang Kangfu is in his forties, the oldest present.

He was originally a chef, an expert at kneading dough and making pastries, with loads of ideas. However, the restaurant where he worked changed its business model earlier, resulting in reduced need for a pastry chef specializing in noodles. The boss wanted to lower his wages.

Displeased, Wang Kangfu left in a huff.

Later, he saw Instant Noodles and really liked them, wanting to know how they were made.

After inquiring here and there, he was discovered. Daniu suspected he wanted to steal the recipe, but after some conversation, it was found he was a pastry chef. After discussing with Shu Yu, they recruited him, offering him the same wages as when he was a chef in the restaurant kitchen.

Wang Kangfu was very willing, and as Shu Yu mentioned, he wasn’t restricted from exploring other noodle dishes, as long as they could be mass-produced and sold like Instant Noodles.

Shu Yu knew well that in modern times, besides Instant Noodles, vermicelli and noodle sheets could be soaked and consumed too.
