Fully Leveled Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1455: Chapter 1455: Seeking Cooperation

Shu Yu was momentarily speechless, inexplicably feeling tears welling up.

Is this what they call Vauxhall? Compared to Doctor Xu, wasn’t her situation more difficult back then?

At least Doctor Xu had no problem borrowing a hundred or two taels of silver, while she couldn’t even find a place to borrow ten taels, right?

Doctor Xu, unaware of her inner turmoil, just sighed, “Perhaps it was destiny, you appeared at just the right time. If you had approached me earlier for collaboration, it might not have worked.”

Shu Yu understood that when she contacted Doctor Xu, the county magistrate of Jiangyuan County was under investigation, and Xiang Weinan came over and arrested him.

If it had been earlier, that magistrate would still be ruling the county town with an iron fist, and Doctor Xu wouldn’t dare to sell any scar removal cream so boldly.

Later, when collaborating with Shu Yu, Doctor Xu saw the profits from the scar removal cream and became particularly motivated.

He needed to save money, whether it was to reopen the clinic or take the opportunity to earn more money to have a financial cushion, which kept Doctor Xu extremely busy.

Now that the business of the scar removal cream had stabilized, Doctor Xu finally refocused on the clinic.

But there was one thing Shu Yu didn’t quite understand, “Now that you have money, you can expand the clinic yourself, why do you want to collaborate with my elder brother-in-law?”

Doctor Xu smiled, “You know my specialty is in setting bones, the patients who come to me are all for treatment in this area. Other ailments don’t come to me, and some even think my fees are high and exclude me right away.”

Of course, he could also recruit other doctors to sit in the clinic.

But the doctors with decent medical skills in Jiangyuan County already have commitments. He’s in contact with other clinics, and poaching would be unethical.

There are plenty of countryside physicians with poor medical skills, but Doctor Xu doesn’t want to tarnish his own reputation. He’s aging and lacks the energy. Even though the scar removal cream is stable, it still needs managing. How could he have more time to manage and teach these less skilled physicians?

Doctor Xu himself was also at a loss, “Actually, I’ve pondered over this for quite some time. Later, I thought I might as well stick with my small clinic for life, after all, I have the scar removal cream to ensure my living. But there’s always this unsettled feeling in my heart, I’m a physician, not a businessman, and I still want to spend the rest of my life treating and saving people.”

Shu Yu could understand, “So you thought of my elder brother-in-law?”

“Yes, recently Second Master Jiang fell while moving wine from a ladder and injured his hand. While treating him, we casually chatted and happened to mention that Doctor Zhao wanted to open a clinic. I started thinking, is there a possibility for collaboration between the two of us?”

Second Master Jiang, that is Jiang Yi of the Auspicious Wine Shop.

Earlier, Madam Deng’s son, Jiang huaiwen, fell ill and fainted during class at school.

Everyone was shocked, Jiang huaiwen and Shurui were good friends, and Shurui’s first reaction was to find Zhao Xi.

But by the time Zhao Xi was brought to the academy, Jiang huaiwen had already been sent to the nearest clinic.

Seeing that someone had taken over, Zhao Xi went back.

However, after two days, Jiang huaiwen still showed no improvement, and Jiang Yi and Madam Deng were so worried they developed sores at the corners of their mouths.

When Shurui went to visit Jiang huaiwen, he brought Zhao Xi along to the Jiang family. Then after two doses of medicine, Jiang huaiwen recovered the next day.

Jiang Yi and Madam Deng were very grateful to Zhao Xi and even brought a gift to thank him. During their conversation, they curiously asked Zhao Xi, since he has such good medical skill, why doesn’t he go to the clinic and set up a practice?
