She is the Side Character! — Watch Her Change her fate!

Chapter 73: Chapter 73: The Innocent Superstar Is Not to Be Messed With 23

Du Chen: It’s been over a decade, not worth mentioning again. After all, our two families have long since cleared things up. I don’t know who’s so bored and brought it up again; it seems a bit targeted at me. It wasn’t a big deal originally, but when things get distorted and blown out of proportion, as a public figure, I indeed need to explain, to give an account to those who like me and restore the truth, to avoid leaving a bad impact, especially since many people are calling me a white-eyed wolf. So, I’ll just take up some public resources here first.

At birth, I was indeed exchanged with the Su Family’s daughter, but it wasn’t something our families willingly did; the person who did it was the Su Family’s maternity nurse. Why the Su Family’s maternity nurse did this, I’m not quite sure, that would need to be explained by the Su Family. But this maternity nurse must not have any grudges with the Du Family. As for asking this maternity nurse, I suppose it’s impossible; back then she preferred jumping off a building rather than revealing where the Su Family’s daughter was and how she swapped the two of us.

The Su Family realized early on that I wasn’t their Su Family’s daughter. When I was slightly aware, they clearly told me that all their care and love were given to their daughter and none to me. And they would continue searching forever never giving up. As for me, they would provide food, clothing, and education; wherever I could study, they would support me to that level. If I couldn’t study, once I grew up, they’d make some arrangements for me. Since childhood, I’ve always envied this Su Family’s daughter. Of course, I also longed for my biological parents, hoping every day that the Su Family could swiftly find their daughter so I could return to see my family.

At the age of ten, there was news, and I and the Su Family’s daughter returned to our respective families.

On that day, I received the gift I loved the most, a doll pendant brought by Mom. Not something precious, but it completely belonged to me. Leaving the Su Family, I had no reluctance whatsoever, perhaps some might not believe it, but that’s the truth.

The online revelation said that I prevented the Su Family’s daughter from contacting my mom. Yes, I indeed didn’t want her to contact Mom. Mom is mine alone, why should I share? She has family who loves her, why come and snatch my mom? Seeing someone come to take my mom, of course, I’m unhappy and would make a fuss; I’m neither mute nor stupid.

As for why I didn’t contact the Su Family, they’re unlikely to want me to reach out, right? Similarly, they haven’t reached out to me.

Why, just because the Su Family is wealthier, do I need to eternally remember the so-called kindness? Since when did money become the standard? You need to know that our swap wasn’t something the two families wanted subjectively; truly, it’s the Su Family that dragged me down. If it weren’t for the Su Family’s maternity nurse, I should’ve been raised by Mom since childhood. Such a result, I look forward to more.

The Su Family’s wealth has nothing to do with me.

Below I will post the transfer records showing I’ve returned the Su Family’s upbringing expenses from five years ago; for ten years of finances spent on me, I’ve reimbursed no less.

I, Du Chen, owe the Su Family not a single cent. They raised me, and my mom also carefully raised the Su Family’s daughter. Returning the upbringing cost is merely my personal desire to avoid excessive entanglement; possibly, it was because I was somewhat immature back then.

To the person who revealed this, you better take a close look, or else it will bring lots of trouble to our two families.

As for the Su Family, I will visit them from time to time in the future, just like relatives; indeed, we can interact, to avoid attracting someone to stir up trouble again. We’re all adults now, no need to be so childish, let’s maintain the appearances.

And if Miss Su wants to visit my mom, of course, she can; Mom raised you for ten years after all, she should miss you too, I can’t be too selfish, causing Mom to feel bad. After all, I’ve grown up and can’t be as capricious as I was as a child. But if you visit, just treat it as a family visit, don’t snatch my mom, you have parents and a brother, don’t be too greedy. Otherwise, I won’t be able to resist making a scene, I’m a person with strong possessiveness.

Alright, that’s how things are.

If the Su Family feels anything is inaccurate, they can refute online, I’ll be waiting.

Du Ya pushed the door open and hugged Ah Chen tightly: ”Xiao Chen, Mom doesn’t miss the Su Family’s daughter at all.”

Her daughter has suffered, from the moment things fell apart, her mind has been on her daughter; why would she miss someone else’s daughter? Xiao Chen has grown up, but the past pains can’t be erased, and it was all brought by the Su Family. She’s rational enough not to hate Su Yuixin.

But the Su Family, she can’t forgive.

When Xiao Chen later says she wants to visit the Su Family, she knows it’s not really to visit; Xiao Chen’s mind is angry, possibly wanting to cause trouble for the Su Family.

Xiao Chen’s psychological issues haven’t healed.

If in the beginning, she had no evidence that this was created by the Su Family, once Su Zihuan’s interview video was released, it confirmed everything. What he said completely affirmed the information leaked online, doesn’t it?

The Su Family is truly abominable.

”If you want to go to the Su Family, Mom will accompany you.” Du Ya said; she can’t feel assured with her daughter going alone, she wants to be there.

As long as her daughter doesn’t commit anything illegal, she will accompany her and perhaps can watch over her.

”Alright, having Mom accompany me is certainly nice, we can even take a look at the Su Family’s daughter.” Ah Chen said, circling Du Ya’s waist and nuzzling against her shoulder.

Du Ya hurriedly said: ”Mom doesn’t care about her.”

Fearing Ah Chen might misunderstand.

Ah Chen snuggled up to Du Ya’s waist and nuzzled against her shoulder: ”I know Mom is accompanying me to boost my courage.”

”Don’t know if we’ll see them.” She chuckled lightly.

The Su Family really has a sense of entitlement.

Did Su Zihuan discuss his response with the Su Family? Probably not.

If the outside reaction benefits the Su Family, they certainly wouldn’t care. If it’s unfavorable, the Su Family would only think Su Zihuan acted without consideration, and blame would still fall on her.

That’s just their demeanor.

They stand tall, looking down on everything. They believe with some family background and status, everyone should be currying favor.

[This leaves me speechless.]

[Du Chen’s snide remarks are quite obvious, but as an outsider, I feel heartbroken, as if that little girl who was told about her family background from a young age and grew up in a family that wasn’t hers is walking past my eyes.]

[I grew up sheltered under someone else’s roof, learned to watch people’s expressions at a young age, and snatched to do everything. Later, I found out my parents had sent living expenses, but I barely spent any, it all went into that family’s mouths, even so, my parents asked me to be sensible, to help with chores, saying it was the courtesy and human interactions between adults, but they’d never understand the harm it brought me. Growing up, able to earn myself, I couldn’t get close to anyone, unable to establish relatively intimate relationships, strong yet alone inside.]

[Now looking at Su Zihuan’s response, it seems so ridiculous, he really has some nerve.]

[This incident wouldn’t be orchestrated by the Su Family, would it? Otherwise, where’s the coincidence? The interview response is quite subtle.]

[Yeah, someone edited some scenes from the live stream, and after watching found quite a bit, can only say this Su Family young master is quite petty.]

[Seems like Chenchen’s trauma is severe, the Su Family must be responsible. If the whistleblower is really by the Su Family, I want to loudly curse, they’re shameless.]

[Better not just listen to Du Chen’s one-sided story.]

[So, the Su Family should come out and respond, they made such a fuss before, also the power of internet trolls, like when the Su Family siblings were on the show, whoosh, many topics disappeared, countless praises, they’re quite skillful.]

[No comment on Su Yuixin for now, her performance doesn’t seem to have any faults, but this Su Zihuan is so greasy, all along with an air of arrogance, really can’t imagine how Chenchen got through those ten years, heartbreaking.]

[I’m quite curious about the story of that maternity nurse, hope someone knowledgeable can reveal something, seems like there’s something that can be dug up.]

The Su Family absolutely cannot respond.

Back then, people in their circle knew quite a bit about things; if they can’t respond sensibly, the real whistleblower might surface.

And just now, Su’s mother casually mentioned the issue of Du Chen returning upbringing expenses. The money wasn’t much for them, indeed it was more than they spent on Du Chen. At that time, she really didn’t take it seriously, so didn’t tell them, resulting in a ticking bomb.

Su’s mother’s face turned very ugly.

”Dad, Mom, Brother, let this matter end here, let’s not make it bigger.” Su Yuixin couldn’t help but speak seeing everyone silent, the atmosphere condensed.

Previously she held a slight grievance against Du Ya, now she feels nothing.

She didn’t know, really didn’t know Du Chen’s days in the Su Family were like this. After returning, her family never mentioned Du Chen in front of her.

She thought Du Chen, like her, even if her parents and brother found her, they would also raise the other party normally.

Su Yuixin can’t imagine the difficulty a little girl of three or five years living in coldness and rejection. She feels guilty inside but can’t blame her relatives either; it was because of her they treated Du Chen like that.

”Let’s leave it at this, Zihuan was too inconsiderate, now it’s embarrassing.” Su’s father spoke, ”Handle it coldly, after a while the outside world will forget.”

”Don’t do anything privately.” Su’s father warned.

Su Zihuan is a bit annoyed, he didn’t expect it to become like this, facing Su’s father’s warning he could only agree.

The Su Family didn’t take Ah Chen’s planned visit to them seriously, so the next morning when the butler reported Du Chen had arrived, the whole family was stunned.

She really came?
