Gun of Ashes

Chapter 527: Chapter 112: Borgia’s Revenge_3

”Not bad, you’re much stronger than the previous demon hunters. At least you’re using your brain to fight.”

Lorenzo simply stopped hiding and directly took the Lacquered Antimony Flying Knife in his hand.

”Are you going to use it? The explosion’s shock won’t kill either of us, but it can kill Shermans.”

”But if I don’t deal with you, neither I nor Shermans can escape, right?”

Lorenzo’s pupils narrowed, and in an instant, his offensive resumed. This startled Samuel, who had bet that Lorenzo would never use this weapon to ensure Shermans’ survival, but to his surprise, Lorenzo didn’t care about Shermans’ life and made a decision so decisively.

The Nail Sword was raised to block in front of him, and Samuel, driven by Secret Blood, let denser red lines spill from his wounds, pushing his recovery to the limit.

Samuel was merely near-immortal, not truly immortal. With Lorenzo’s cunning tactics, any attack could potentially kill him. The next moment, Lorenzo advanced like a battle tank.

”Madman!” Samuel cursed angrily.

Lorenzo directly collided with him; the terrible force propelled Samuel, who could not resist at all.

Little by little, he was pushed until he was forced to the door of the wine cellar. With just a bit more force, Lorenzo could push him out.

He wanted to push him out of the wine cellar.

Samuel realized Lorenzo’s intention. Amid the collision, the Nail Sword struggled to slice but could hardly penetrate Lorenzo’s armor, especially in this situation.

The Secret Blood surged, and the terrifying power coursed within Samuel. Without the Silver Binding Bolt’s restraint, demonization began in an instant, his face becoming hideous.

Endless red lines released from Samuel’s body, spreading like a cobweb made from flesh and blood. It not only wrapped around Lorenzo but also pierced into the ground like steel pins, like vines of plants, tightening continuously as it extended.

Lorenzo’s movements began to slow; all the silk lines tightly wrapped around him and kept increasing. The Purifying Flame burned, but it had little effect on the red lines.

”Get out, damn it!”

Lorenzo growled low, under the terrifying force, he slowly tore off the red lines from his body and then stabbed the Lacquered Antimony Flying Knife into Samuel’s chest. But that was all he could manage.

Countless silk lines twisted around him like venomous snakes; Lorenzo couldn’t reach for his gun to shoot and detonate it.

”Looks like I’ve won.”

A hateful face was obscured by a veil woven from red lines. Behind the veil, Samuel slowly raised the Nail Sword. This state was extremely taxing for him; he had to maintain as much sanity as possible and not fall into madness.

”Move! Lorenzo!”

An old voice rang out. Shermans stood holding a flintlock gun behind Lorenzo. Being so close, countless red lines also affected him, piercing beneath his skin and corroding him.

No one knew what he intended to do, and he yelled angrily.

”You... and Sainy Loter behind you, you’re just a group of evil ghosts who usurped the divine, do you truly understand anything?”

The trembling hand became steady, the muzzle pointed directly at Lorenzo, or rather, at Samuel behind Lorenzo.

”Welcome! This is Shermans Borgia’s revenge!”

The aged face twisted with rage, he pulled the trigger.

The flintlock gun’s muzzle burst forth with dazzling fire and black smoke, the silver bullet pierced through everything, coming with great speed.

Lorenzo, whose movements had become sluggish, suddenly sped up at that moment. Hearing that ancient surname, Lorenzo suddenly understood what Shermans intended to do. All the armor shattered, the broken edges cutting the red lines apart. Although this exposed him to Samuel’s attacks, Lorenzo still desperately dodged the bullet’s path.

As if slashed by countless blades, Lorenzo, bleeding, fell to the side, and at that moment, the bullet plunged into the red web.

For a moment, all sound vanished. Lorenzo could only see the firelight igniting within the red lines, like flames falling into withered trees, with a golden hue emerging from the blackened interior.

The ammunition forged from Holy Silver penetrated Samuel’s body, detonating the Lacquered Antimony within.

In an instant, flames consumed everything in view. Lorenzo was pinned to the wall by the explosion’s impact. In the hot air, he faintly smelled that unsettling scent, known as Cantrella poison.
