Gun of Ashes

Chapter 525: Chapter 112: Borgia’s Revenge

The body riddled with wounds slowly stood up, limbs bending at unusual angles, like a puppet being whimsically manipulated by strings into an eerie shape.

Countless red threads swayed like seaweed in Samuel’s wounds, pulling each other to heal the body. He smiled, as if he couldn’t feel the pain.

The situation became tricky, Lorenzo stared at him closely. In theory, a demon hunter’s strength changes with the rising Secret Blood. Before reaching the critical point and starting to demonize, conventional lethal injuries can still kill a demon hunter. For example, if Lorenzo hadn’t activated his Secret Blood and his head was cut off, he would die.

But when the Secret Blood boils and that forbidden power infuses the body, conventional attacks become difficult to kill a demon hunter. As long as there’s a breath left, the demon hunter can push the Secret Blood to the extreme to complete demonization.

Just now Samuel’s Secret Blood had not risen to the critical point, lethal injuries could effectively restrain him, which is why Lorenzo wasn’t eager to neutralize him. But it seems there’s more to it than that.

Samuel also activated Authority, just like Lorenzo. When they drew swords against each other, this extraordinary authority was bestowed upon the demon hunters.

”The Undying Yanar.”

Lorenzo murmured, countless red threads danced wildly in the air, like some kind of unknown beast.

Severing the head, piercing the heart, doing so can effectively kill a demon hunter, whether or not he is demonized. However, the Yanar faction among the demon hunters is not included in this, they are somewhat similar to Shangdafeng, a very special branch.

Lorenzo raised the shotgun, the scattered pellets directly shot into Samuel’s body. After displaying Authority, he gave up dodging, because these damages couldn’t shake him at all. Countless red threads coiled in his wounds, flesh and blood rapidly proliferating, squeezing the pellets out of the body.

This is the power of Yanar, different from the blazing flames, solid armor, and the foresight of the short future. The power of Yanar is simple, it is to exert the demon-like vitality to the maximum. No matter what kind of injury is endured, as long as there’s a breath left, the strong vitality can recover.

This is an almost immortal power.

Lorenzo was extremely cautious, and because of this terrifying vitality, piercing the heart and severing the head were difficult to thoroughly kill them, only complete destruction can do it.

”His Eminence said, this is a power filled with honor.”

Samuel looked at his hand, the wound had healed, only the remaining red threads were still hanging on his hand.

This is a power filled with honor. The crisis of the Night of the Holy Arrival was far beyond what the Medanzo demon hunters could curb. They guarded the gates of Hell at the critical moment. Then the Yanar demon hunters arrived, relying on that strong vitality. Even if they were demonized, they weren’t that easy to die.

Slaughter continued incessantly in the Static Holy Temple where sins were born.

The demon hunters fought the demons, and after killing the demons, they went to kill the demonized demon hunters, fighting each other. Many demon hunters died, but the Yanar demon hunters continued to survive owing to that terrifying vitality, carrying on the endless slaughter until long after, the demon hunters crowned with the name of Yanar also fell, truly bringing this nightmare to an end.

Sword light flashed, iron armor clanged, blood splattered.

The Nail Sword pierced through Samuel’s chest once again. As Lorenzo stabbed in, countless red threads grew wildly like weeds, extending from the wound, wrapping around Lorenzo’s sword. Simultaneously, the penetrating wound rapidly healed.

Samuel had no intention to defend because Lorenzo found it hard to kill him.

A scorching fire arose, the Purifying Flame burned fiercely, this fire surged simultaneously on both of them, also signifying the Secret Blood gradually breaking the cage.

”Demon hunters...”

Shermans gazed at the burning figure, murmuring softly, as if recalling something. He slowly picked up his flintlock gun.

He was nostalgic, longing for the past, reminiscing the Golden Era, and the flintlock gun in his hands was the crystallization of the craftsmanship of that time, a lethal weapon adorned by artists with graceful curves.

But all of that ended with the aging of Lorenzo de’ Medici. Shermans could no longer see those glories, only preserving this long obsolete weapon as a memento.

”Yage, come help me!”

After reminiscing, Shermans’ face turned sinister, shouting at Yage, who was dumbfounded aside.

Yage slightly recovered from panic, looking at the furious Shermans. The devout old man was no more, his grim face resembling an evil ghost.

He gradually moved to Shermans’ side. Like Shermans, Yage was also a devout believer. Before exile, Yage had followed Shermans. If so many things hadn’t happened, Shermans intended to support Yage as his successor.

”Sir, let’s take the chance to escape now!” Yage said anxiously.

The battle between Lorenzo and Samuel in the wine cellar grew fiercer. Both were almost unshakable monsters. Lorenzo had solid armor, and Samuel had an almost immortal body. Red threads and flames intertwined. If Lorenzo hadn’t deliberately kept the battlefield near the cellar door, the two would probably have been affected long ago.
