Super Gene Hunting Ground

At Flying Leopard Academy, in order to prevent students from abusing their challenge rights, each student only has one chance to challenge an opponent through the challenge board during their time at school.

Normally, general personal grudges are not resolved through the challenge board; only those particularly difficult personal grudges would lead people to the arena’s challenge platform.

This is a platform of glory and dignity.

Qin Yue, dressed in black, walked slowly onto the arena, arms crossed, coldly scanning the entire venue.

Arenas number 1 was already packed with more than three thousand people, including some instructors.

Qin Yue was very satisfied; this would be his graduation ceremony. After defeating Yang Xiao, he would announce that he had already broken through to the Empire Level Realm and formally apply to enter the Advanced Academy Department.

He suddenly felt that this might be heaven’s arrangement,

to arrange for Yang Xiao such a villain to fulfill his brilliance.

The whole venue gradually quieted down, everyone was looking forward to Yang Xiao’s appearance.

However, time passed minute by minute, and Yang Xiao did not appear.

Though the official start time was 10 o’clock, if both parties were present, starting half an hour early would be fine too.

Some people began to quietly gossip,

”Where’s Yang Xiao?”

”Why hasn’t Yang Xiao shown up yet?”

”Could this guy be chickening out at the last minute?”

...

Yelu Caiyun felt uneasy and asked Gao Lou and the others beside him.

”Did any of you see Yang Xiao?”

”No, we haven’t seen Yang Xiao since yesterday.”

”According to the rules, if Yang Xiao doesn’t appear on the arena by 10:30, he will automatically be judged to have lost and must bear the consequences of losing.”

”Yang Xiao wouldn’t really have gone into hiding, would he?”

”Or could something unexpected have happened?”

...

As the time pointed to ten-thirty, an academy staff member hosting the life and death challenge tournament walked onto the arena and shouted loudly:

”The life and death challenge match between Qin Yue and Yang Xiao is now officially starting, inviting both parties onto the stage.”

Qin Yue waved his hand and said:

”Qin Yue, present.”

The host nodded, glanced around, and shouted loudly:

”Inviting the challenged Yang Xiao onto the stage,”

The whole venue was silent,

Among everyone’s expectations, no figure appeared on the arena.

Suddenly there was a flurry of discussions.

”Where’s Yang Xiao? Isn’t he really daring to come out and fight?”

”If you don’t dare to fight, say so early, making me expect for so long, and I even bought tickets at a high price.”

”What’s going on?”

...

The host paused for a moment; it wasn’t unheard of for challengers to give up at the last minute, so he loudly stated:

”According to the challenge match rules, if Yang Xiao cannot enter the arena by 10:30, it will be considered a loss, bearing all consequences of losing,

If Yang Xiao refuses to bear them, he will be expelled from Flying Leopard Academy.”

At this moment, the audience seating was already in an uproar, one by one cursing Yang Xiao vehemently.

”Damn, that liar Yang Xiao.”

”Damn, if you don’t have the ability, don’t accept people’s challenges, just admit defeat outright.”

”This trash Yang Xiao, doesn’t even have this bit of courage, I’m truly disappointed.”

”Why are you disappointed?”

”Damn, I bet ten thousand Crystal Coins on him winning.”

”You’re really stupid, I bet on Qin Yue.”

”Damn, don’t let me see Yang Xiao, if I do, I’m going to beat him up fiercely.”

...

Director Zhu Peng turned and asked Xiao Ling beside him.

”Master Xiao, what’s up with Yang Xiao?”

”Don’t know, he was fine the day before yesterday, even said he didn’t care about Qin Yue’s challenge, there’s no way he wouldn’t come.”

Luo Hao on the side sneered:

”I think Yang Xiao is just a coward. He probably heard Qin Yue has already broken through to the Empire Level Realm and got scared witless. I’ve seen plenty of such trash, beating their chests and posturing heroically in front of beauties, appearing bold, yet actually just gutless.”

Xiao Ling’s face turned cold,

”Luo Hao, how can you talk about someone like that?”

”Why can’t I say that? Look, more than three thousand people are waiting for him, even our pig (Zhu) director took time out of his busy schedule to watch his challenge match. Isn’t he a coward?”

”You,”

”Alright, you two stop arguing, there’s nothing to argue about, we’ll wait until 10:30, if Yang Xiao doesn’t come, we’ll disperse. It’s just a challenge match, not a big deal.”

Zhu Peng said indifferently.

Yelu Caiyun couldn’t sit still any longer, got up and said to Gao Lou and Chen Cangshan and others:

”You guys go check the cafeteria, library, practice rooms, cultivation fields, we have Bing’er and I go to Yang Xiao’s dormitory, Qing’er you go back to our villa, I’m afraid Yang Xiao might run to our villa looking for us.”

”Okay, everyone go find him immediately.”

Everyone got up and rushed outside.

Yelu Caiyun was anxious, took Bing’er and quickly ran towards Yang Xiao’s dormitory.

Arriving at the door, Bing’er took out a Jade Token and swiped it at the door, the black defense light screen door opened.

”Yang Xiao, Yang Xiao,”

Yelu Caiyun shouted loudly.

Yang Xiao’s room door was closed, Yelu Caiyun pushed it, but was surprised it didn’t open, shocked, knowing Yang Xiao was inside, knocked forcefully,

”Boom boom boom.... Yang Xiao, Yang Xiao,”

Yang Xiao had been cultivating until four or five in the morning last night before going to bed, now immersed in dreams, hearing a faint knocking, just lazy to open his eyes.

”Uncle, uncle, open the door!”

Bing’er shouted along.

Yelu Caiyun got anxious, kicked the door directly.

The door in the room was just an ordinary wooden door,

”Bang”, it was kicked open by Yelu Caiyun.

Yang Xiao was startled by the loud noise, sat up straight from the bed, seeing Yelu Caiyun and Bing’er standing by the bed with anxious faces.

”Wh-what’s wrong? Is there a fire?”

”Yang Xiao, why are you sleeping? This is more serious than a fire. Did you forget today is the day of your life and death challenge with Qin Yue?”

”Huh?”

Yang Xiao was shocked, jumped directly out of bed, wearing only briefs.

Yelu Caiyun quickly turned shyly, shouted loudly at the same time:

”The match time is already over, you have more than ten minutes left, if you can’t get there, you automatically lose, bearing all consequences of losing.”

Yang Xiao hurried to dress, asking while dressing:

”What consequences?”

”Didn’t you read the contents of Qin Yue’s challenge letter?”

”Didn’t read.”

”Kneel and apologize to Qin Yue, and run naked around the academy field, stand for 24 hours for people to watch.”

”Heh heh, he thinks beautifully.”

The three ran downstairs, flying to arena number 1.
