Super Gene Hunting Ground

The owner of the Genetic Store nodded slightly and said indifferently:

”Rules are rules, restrain your men, do not disturb the Genetic Store, or else, there will be no mercy in killing!”

”Yes!”

Zhou Hua was well aware of the prowess of the Iron Tower Warriors standing at the entrance.

After gaining control of the Genetic Store’s stronghold, Zhou Hua immediately severed the transmission channels from Golden Sand Town to the other strongholds in Nanmu City and, at the same time, opened a channel to Zhushi.

The channel from Zhushi to Golden Sand Town had long been established, just waiting for this end to open for two-way transportation.

Zhou Hua immediately went through the transmission channel to Zhushi.

”Haha, Boss, we’ve succeeded.”

”Good, Zhou Hua, you will be commended for this. Let’s head to Golden Sand now, go.”

Xie Jun, along with dozens of Elite Guards, entered the Transmission Array, and the remaining five thousand elite troops arrived in Golden Sand Town in batches.

”Boss, we have five thousand people here, it’s a bit crowded. The channels from Golden Sand Town to other strongholds have just been closed. The others might not be aware yet. Shall we open the channels to two strongholds and take them down in one fell swoop?”

After thinking for a moment, Xie Jun shook his head and said:

”Nanmu City is no ordinary city, Yang Xiao has many capable lieutenants. Our troops have limited combat power. If we spread out, once discovered by the opposing side, we will quickly be isolated and annihilated. Everyone, rest here for the night. We will attack the urban area of Nanmu City first thing tomorrow morning. We are only about twenty kilometers away from the urban area, and we will strengthen our guard tonight.”

”Yes!”

...

Yang Xiao had a routine task every night, which was to collect the corpses of mutated creatures from several strongholds in the suburbs, and Golden Sand Town was one of these strongholds.

After collecting the corpses of the mutated creatures from the other three outposts in the suburbs of Nanmu City, the next outpost was Golden Sand Town.

Standing in the transmission array, Yang Xiao watched as the light of the array rose, but he couldn’t find Golden Sand Town in the series of addresses.

”Eh, that’s strange, why isn’t there the name of Golden Sand Town?”

Several nearby guards approached.

”Boss, what’s the issue?”

”Where’s Golden Sand Town? Why isn’t there the name of the Golden Sand Town outpost?”

”That’s impossible. We went to Golden Sand Town during the day, did you perhaps overlook it?”

”Then come in and help me look.”

Two guards hurriedly ran into the transmission array and searched through the list of addresses in the halo, indeed, there was no name for Golden Sand Town.

”Hey, this is really weird. I was just there in Golden Sand Town this morning.”

”Is it possible that the channel to Golden Sand Town was closed?”

”How could that be? Closing a channel requires the approval of the outpost’s person in charge. Who would close the channel for no reason? It’s not like we’re going to war.”

Hearing this, Yang Xiao’s heart jolted, sensing something was wrong and said:

”Immediately close the transmission channel to Golden Sand Town, then you all need to split up and go to the other outposts, inform everyone to close the channels to Golden Sand Town.”

”Boss, what happened?”

”If I’m not wrong, there’s been an incident in Golden Sand Town. There’s a high probability that it has been captured by Xie Jun and others from Zhushi. Move quickly.”

”Yes!”

Yang Xiao also immediately used the transmission array to go to Shaolin Temple.

Most of the elites were gathered at either the Shaolin Temple or the Shenming Mountain Sect, where everyone would gather each evening to meditate and practice their inner strength. Libraries in both locations were equipped with generators.

The work of connecting water, electricity, and roads throughout Nanmu City had been completed long ago.

Arriving at the Xianan University branch of Shaolin Temple, Yang Xiao immediately said to the guards outside:

”Go immediately to Kongming Academy and inform Huang Wen at Shenming Mountain Sect to bring everyone here. There is a major issue, hurry.”

The guard was visibly shocked, having never seen Yang Xiao so anxious. Initially wanting to ask what happened, he did not dare to after being urged by Yang Xiao and promptly went to Kongming Academy.

Yang Xiao entered the main building of the Shaolin Temple and immediately gathered around 300 people including Gong Yu, Xiao Zhe, Xia Luo, Zhao Gang, Long Yongjun, and Zhou Qiang.

Everyone was puzzled and looked at Yang Xiao.

”Boss, what’s so urgent?”

Yang Xiao tried to calm his emotions. At this moment, as the boss, he absolutely could not panic and said indifferently:

”Wait for Huang Wen and the others to arrive, I’ll talk then. I don’t want to repeat myself twice.”

Seeing Yang Xiao’s expression, Xia Luo and the others all felt that something big was about to happen, for since taking over Nanmu City, Yang Xiao had never gathered five hundred elites to address them all at once.

Moments later, Huang Wen, Lan Xin, Qin Yu, Deng Xiao, Feifei, Chen Fei, and over three hundred other girls hurried over.

They were clearly more anxious because the guard who delivered the message was very agitated, mentioning significant news, and the boss had ordered everyone to assemble urgently.

Five hundred people crammed into a lecture hall with stepped seating.

”What’s happening, Yang Xiao?”

Huang Wen asked.

Yang Xiao cleared his throat, and the entire room instantly quieted down.

”If I’m not mistaken, Xie Jun has already taken over Golden Sand Town, and by tomorrow morning, he will lead his troops into the district of Nanmu City.”

”Ah?”

”So soon?”

”How come there were no signs in advance?”

”Boss, how did you know?”

...

”I just patrolled Golden Sand Town and unexpectedly found that the transmission channel was shut down, which is very abnormal. Normally, it would absolutely not be closed. There’s only one possibility – Golden Sand Town has fallen to the enemy, and all the guards there have been wiped out,

which fits Xie Jun’s military demeanor; he’s a soldier who understands strategy, acts decisively and strikes unexpectedly.”

”Boss, what should we do?”

Someone asked in a panicked tone, with a tremble in their voice.

Zhao Gang immediately stood up and shouted loudly:

”Fear what? We’ve fought Xie Jun before, he’s been our defeated foe. If he comes this time, we’ll make sure he has no return!”

Long Yongjun also immediately said loudly:

”The troops will block, and the water will cover; with the boss here, with all of us here, Xie Jun is nothing but a passing cloud!”

”Yes, our strength is not weak now; having cultivated ancient martial arts for several months, everyone’s combat power has at least increased by fifty percent, right? Before we couldn’t fly, but now, can other ordinary Genetic Evolvers compare with our movement technique speed?”

”Right, besides the Soul Skills, we now have many more combat skills. I dare not say about Xie Jun, but against his subordinates, it’s definitely a case of killing one for each that comes, killing a pair for any two.”

...

For a moment, everyone’s morale was high, filled with confidence.

Some cautious people put forth,

”But after all, Xie Jun has a High-Level Enhanced Gene cultivation, shouldn’t be underestimated!”

”Yes, caution is the parent of safety. Everyone must pay attention and must not underestimate the great enemy.”

...

Yang Xiao waved his hand, and immediately the room fell silent.

Yang Xiao said indifferently:

”Although Xie Jun has a High-Level Enhanced Gene cultivation, he’s completely come to the wrong place this time. Gong Yu and I both have Intermediate Enhanced Gene cultivation, and Master Ben Yin, Ben Guo, and Ben Xun now have combat power that has reached the High-Level Enhanced Gene standard. In addition, Shenming Mountain Sect’s Lan Xin, Xiao Lan, and Ju Yun, their combat power has also reached the High-Level Enhanced Gene standard. I don’t mean to look down upon Xie Jun, we can randomly pick several people who could easily beat him, so everyone doesn’t need to be nervous,

My only concern now is that if Xie Jun brings his large army into the district of Nanmu City, it will turn into a chaotic battle, wrecking our newly recovered city construction and causing casualties among our ordinary warriors. Therefore, I’ve decided that we will gather our forces overnight and block Xie Jun on the way into the city. By tomorrow morning, we will directly confront him at the entrance to the city.”
