Super Gene Hunting Ground

”Sister!”

The crowd looked at Lan Xin with a look of despair.

Xiao Lan said:

”We have a temporary shelter cave in the back mountain where everyone can hide for a bit.”

”It’s useless. That cave has only an entrance but no exit, even if we hide inside, those Tibetan Mastiff Kings will immediately find our hiding place. Don’t forget, these are Tibetan Mastiff Kings, not some common mutant animals. Their sense of smell is incredibly sharp; they can track us by the scent we leave behind. If we really were to hide in that cave, it would just be an unjust death; it would be better to have a fight here with room to maneuver.”

In this crucial moment, Lan Xin still displayed a strong will.

Yang Xiao admired Lan Xin even more, especially because Lan Xin was not willing to risk Shenming Mountain Sect’s North Garden’s Mo Yan and others for her own sake. This sort of selflessness made Yang Xiao respect her even more.

The noisy sounds of the Tibetan Mastiff Kings came from the darkness in the distance, and at the edge of the faint light, one could see a large number of Tibetan Mastiff Kings slowly moving forward.

It seemed that this group of Tibetan Mastiff Kings had a leader - the Tibetan Mastiff King was commanding them; they were not a disorderly mob without a leader.

Lan Xin looked at Yang Xiao with a bitter smile and said:

”Yang Xiao, I’m sorry, it’s your first time coming here and you have to encounter such a situation. And I’m afraid...”

Lan Xin didn’t finish her sentence, but the meaning was clear to everyone – Yang Xiao probably wouldn’t be able to get out either.

Although Lan Xin had seen Yang Xiao’s prowess in the desert, Yang Xiao was only at Enhanced Gene Primary Level at that time. Lan Xin did not know when he was upgraded to Intermediate.

Yang Xiao smiled and said:

”Why be so pessimistic? Maybe it’s not as bad as you think. Isn’t there still me?”

Lan Xin looked at Yang Xiao, feeling a surge of warmth inside her, a feeling that made her intoxicated.

”I’m sorry, I’ve put you in danger!”

”Heh, what are you talking about? I came to find you, and you treated me to such delicious food. I’m very happy, how could it have harmed me?”

Lan Xin said with a bitter smile:

”If there’s a chance later, you get on the Flame Horse and charge out. Once you get to the Genetic Store, you can be rescued. I’ll try my best to help you break through.”

Yang Xiao listened, his heart trembling, and asked in a deep voice:

”If you really can help me carve a path out, then leave with me. This Flame Horse can carry two people without any issues.”

Lan Xin looked at her junior sisters and said firmly:

”I can’t leave them behind. Even if it means death, I will be with them. They are like my real sisters. To abandon them and sneak away to live, I would be restless for the rest of my life.”

”Sister!”

The junior sisters called out, choked up.

Lan Xin then said loudly:

”My junior sisters, don’t worry. I, Lan Xin, will definitely be with you. There are too many Tibetan Mastiff Kings outside, and I’m truly not confident. If later on, we can help Yang Xiao break through a bloody path and if any of you manage to survive, then follow Yang Xiao and escape on the Flame Horse.”

”Sister, you’re not abandoning us, and we definitely won’t abandon you. We live together, we die together!”

”Yes, we live together, we die together!”

Everyone shouted loudly, their spirits soaring, sweeping away the fear in their hearts.

If they weren’t afraid of death, what else could scare them?

Yang Xiao was immediately impressed by their morale and said:

”Good, girls. I, Yang Xiao, have also decided to fight alongside you. Of course, I’m fighting to live, not to die.”

”Yang Xiao!”

Lan Xin looked at Yang Xiao and softly called out, her heart stirred with some excitement.

”Yang Xiao, with your Soul Skill, plus the help of me and the junior sisters, we can definitely fight our way out. You also have the Flame Horse; the Tibetan Mastiffs can’t catch up to you. You don’t have to die with us!”

”I, Yang Xiao, am a man, how can I let a bunch of girls risk their lives for me while I run away? That would be utterly shameful if word got out. Besides, having a group of beauties like you accompany me, even if I were to die, it would be worth it, haha!”

Yang Xiao laughed in an attempt to appear relaxed.

If there were only a few dozen, or a hundred Tibetan Mastiffs, with the help of Lan Xin and the others, he would still have the confidence to fend them off. But now, there seemed to be more than two hundred Tibetan Mastiffs, and if they swarmed in the night, he really didn’t have the confidence to repel them.

But for Yang Xiao to abandon this group of girls and flee alone was something he found difficult to do, especially since Lan Xin, the girl he liked, was among them.

”Yang Xiao!”

Lan Xin looked at Yang Xiao, her voice choking up.

Yang Xiao patted Lan Xin on the shoulder and said:

”Things aren’t so bleak. I’m here. When the Tibetan Mastiffs attack later, everyone stay calm. We must stick together and never separate, or else, if dozens of Tibetan Mastiffs surround and attack one person, it’s over.”

As he was speaking, a howl came from afar!

”Aoooo—”

The world suddenly fell silent, everyone’s hearts tightened, knowing that the big battle was about to begin.

”Everyone stand together, form a circle. No matter who falls, the person next to them should immediately take their place.”

Lan Xin said.

Over thirty girls immediately formed an oval-shaped circle, each holding a sword, watching their front because the Tibetan Mastiffs wouldn’t attack from one direction only. They were sure to surround and attack from all sides. Sticking together meant at least not having to worry about being attacked from behind.

Yang Xiao and Lan Xin stood together, Yang Xiao’s hand touched Lan Xin’s, and he held it tightly.

Lan Xin glanced at Yang Xiao, and her heart filled with warmth.

At the edge of the square’s lights, a large mass of dark Tibetan Mastiffs began to move inward.

Moments later, more than a hundred huge Tibetan Mastiffs entered the square, clearly visible under the light, and in the darkness beyond, there were many more Lurker Tibetan Mastiffs.

”Aoooo—”

Another fierce howl rang out, and the group of Tibetan Mastiffs in front parted, creating a pathway, and an exceptionally large Tibetan Mastiff with brown fur slowly walked out and stood under the square’s lights.

”This is the Tibetan Mastiff King.”

Lan Xin whispered.

Yang Xiao glanced and estimated that the Tibetan Mastiff King had reached the peak of the Enhanced Gene Advanced level, and it was probably not far from making the breakthrough to King Level.

Who would have thought to encounter a Mutant Monster with such a high Genetic Evolution Level in the heavens?

The Tibetan Mastiff King was at least half a body taller than the other Tibetan Mastiffs around it, exuding a majestic presence, its pair of eyes shining with a greenish light as it watched Yang Xiao and the others.

The whole field was deadly silent, all waiting for the Tibetan Mastiff King’s command.

”Aooo!”

The Tibetan Mastiff King suddenly raised its head and let out an angry roar, lifting a front paw and swinging it fiercely.

Behind it, over a hundred Tibetan Mastiffs immediately roared ferociously, rushing towards Yang Xiao and the others like a tidal wave.

Over a hundred huge Tibetan Mastiffs running over, emitting a massive roar, their pairs of greenish eyes sent chills down the spine.

Everyone’s heart trembled.

Lan Xin raised her Longsword and shouted loudly:

”Prepare for battle!”
