The moment Danzo spoke those words, alarms began ringing in their ears. Both elders felt stunned and confused.

They didn’t understand where Danzo’s hostility was coming from. After all, they were close friends for decades.

Even if they weren’t on his side, they were working together to make Konoha great.

So, why did Danzo have so much hostility? Just for that position of Hokage?

”Danzo, are you suggesting we should make you the Hokage?” Koharu asked, her voice trembling a little.

”I am not suggesting, Koharu.”

Danzo shook his head and burst out his Chakra. Although it was Naruto’s Chakra, there weren’t many sensory ninjas around.

So, they could only feel the wave of his Chakra. It was cold and fierce.

”I must become the Hokage. Only I can lead Konoha to a better future. Only I can make decisions that you and Hiruzen cower to make.”

”I have been waiting. It has been far too long, Koharu. Before my life ends, I must make Konoha a better village.”

”So, nobody, not even you two, should interfere in this old man’s path to become Hokage.”

At this moment, the elder Homura spoke.

”Danzo, you are wrong. You can’t become Hokage because you want to. Only those chosen by the village and Daimyo can become Hokage.”

”You do not have that kind of prestige. You have been involved in darkness for far too long. You can’t become Hokage.”

At this moment, Danzo’s Chakra burst out even more.

”Who are you to say that?”

His chakra was so massive that both of them got blasted away just by the sheer shockwave of his Chakra.

”Elders!”

The Anbu standing around them immediately ran in front of the elders. But two of the masked ninjas around Danzo also made their move.

Fugaku was a genuine Kage-level Shinobi, and even without his Sharingan, he could burst out with Elite Jonin-level strength.

Mikoto was a bit weaker, but she was a certified Jonin. Both of them immediately engaged in a battle of Taijutsu.

Fugaku took the lead by using his Kunai to kill these Anbu in just a few minutes. He didn’t even require the use of any Ninjutsu.

On the other hand, Mikoto took some time, holding the remaining ninjas back using her kunai, but she clearly lacked the strength to kill them.

At this moment, Danzo spoke.

”This is how a ninja should be. This is what I made in my Roots. Now, I want to turn the ninja from Konoha into this.”

”If I let Hiruzen and his students mess up again and again, Konoha will only get weaker and weaker. I will not allow that.”

”So, for Konoha, die!”

He suddenly stepped forward, taking out a kunai as he weaved hand signs.

[Wind Release- Vacuum Blade]

As he released the wind chakra into his kunai, turning it into a blade, he rushed towards two of the elders.

Of course, they wouldn’t just stand there and let him kill them. They immediately released their respective Jutsu.

Homura used a Water Release Jutsu, showing power comparable to a Jonin, engulfing the entire building with the water vortex.

Under his control, the water vortex rushed towards Danzo, only for him to miss.

With his teleportation Jutsu enhanced by Wind Release, Danzo appeared next to Homura and used his wind blade to slash him on the ribs.

Splash!

Homura found himself bleeding, but Koharu quickly came to his rescue, releasing a powerful fire bullet.

Danzo retreated, and Koharu quickly used Mystical Palm Jutsu to heal Homura’s wounds.

But Danzo wouldn’t give them a chance to recover.

Upon retreating, he immediately weaved hand signs and started shooting several wind bullets from his mouth.

[Wind Release- Vacuum Spheres]

As he released this Jutsu, both of the elders were forcefully interrupted. Homura, while injured, placed his hand on the ground and pulled out a large earth wall.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

As his Earth Wall blocked the wind bullets, Danzo immediately weaved more hand signs while inhaling a large amount of air.

[Wind Release- Vacuum Serial Waves]

He opened his mouth and released a series of wind blades from different angles, but all aimed at the wall in front of him.

Crack! Bang! Splash!

The fierce wind blades managed to easily cut through the walls. Homura’s ribs were just being healed when they were blasted by the wind blades.

Even Koharu couldn’t focus on healing him; instead, she retreated and released a Fireball Jutsu.

Although she tried her best to avoid Homura, the intense heat of the fireball still hurt him.

But the fireball managed to engulf the wind blades before they reached her, destroying them in the process.

Of course, Danzo didn’t care about her. He immediately weaved another hand sign and took a lot of air in.

Then, he started releasing all that wind chakra, but instead of shooting it like bullets, he started compressing it into a large ball of wind.

[Wind Release- Vacuum Great Sphere]

Only after completing this Jutsu, he released it towards Homura, completely engulfing his body with wind chakra and tearing him apart.

”Homura!”

Koharu screamed with agony as if she were the one who died. Her eyes turned red with anger as she stared at Danzo.

”Danzo, he is your teammate, your friend. Why? Why did it have to come to this?”

Danzo stared at her with a malicious look and said.

”Haven’t you noticed it yet, Koharu? You two are getting older and weaker. But I am getting stronger.”

”I could’ve simply become Hokage and led Konoha to a better future, but you two will never support me.”

”You were supposed to be my teammates, my friends. So, why? Why not support me? Why not let me become Hokage?”

Koharu spat out a deep breath as if she were releasing her anger.

At this moment, she couldn’t help but reminisce about the times when they were close friends.

She remembered when her teacher stopped behind to stop the pursuit of the Kumogakure.

At this moment, Danzo continued, saying.
