”Naruto-kun, are you alright?”

Hinata softly asked.

”Of course, I am. What could happen to me? Let’s go, Hinata!”

Naruto showed a bright smile. There was no hidden darkness or sadness in his heart anymore.

Seeing his smile, Hinata blushed and nodded.

”Yes!”

They quickly ran towards the Hokage’s office. As soon as they got there, Naruto noticed a lot of presence.

He looked at Hinata, paused, and shook his head.

She was the Hokage’s girlfriend, his future wife. So, of course, she should be allowed here.

Besides, Daimyo wouldn’t go out of his way to make a problem for him.

’Isn’t that right, Sasuke’s Mom?’

Naruto giggled and opened the door.

At this moment, nearly three two hundred people were inside the office alongside Jiraiya, Shikaku, and Daimyo.

Daimyo was sitting on a chair while Jiraiya and Shikaku were standing next to him.

”Sorry, I’m late. I had to do something important.”

Naruto smiled as he replied, pulling in Hinata as he walked towards Daimyo.

”Lord Daimyo!”

”Hmm! Boy Naruto, from now on, I would have to start calling you Lord Hokage.”

Daimyo chuckled as he watched Naruto pull Hinata. She was steaming right now, but to preserve Naruto’s reputation, she didn’t faint.

More importantly, Naruto could feel a killing intent directed towards him.

It was coming from one man.

Naruto ignored this man and turned around.

”So, everyone is okay with this decision? Although I would love to be Hokage and I do have my father’s knowledge, I am technically not even thirteen.”

Shikaku shook his head and said.

”Age is indeed important, but knowledge and strength are even more important.”

”You have shown the strength of a Kage. During the war, you immediately put a barrier to keep the destruction caused by a Tailed Beast in check.”

”You even used your strength to defeat the enemy, without taking every one boy yourself.”

”You should have the tactical thinking of a Jonin, strength of a Kage, and more importantly, you are the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki.”

”The first person was Mito Uzumaki. If she was interested in becoming Hokage, she would’ve become the Third Hokage.”

”The second person was your mother, Kushina Uzumaki. She was very interested in becoming Hokage, but she gave up on that dream for Minato.”

”As its Third Jinchuriki, you have controlled its power while still being just as strong as a Kage without its power.”

”So, we can indeed put aside age this time. Everyone here has already made a vote. With seventy percent of the votes and Daimyo’s approval, you are officially the Fifth Hokage of the Leaf.”

While Shikaku said that, there was a slight tension in his eyes.

For the past few hours, he had been thinking about this situation.

Because he realized a strange thing about this situation.

No matter how good Naruto was, his age would always be a problem for the position of the Hokage.

Yes, just as he said, age wouldn’t stop him, but that’s only if the Leaf didn’t have any other substitute.

Leaf Village still had Jiraiya and Tsunade. Even if Jiraiya didn’t want to become Hokage, as long as Tsunade returned, she could.

After all, this was a village that her grandfathers made and protected.

So, for Daimyo to choose Naruto over others meant there was something fishy about it.

But as a friend of Minato’s, Shikaku chose to trust Naruto and look at this situation from a different perspective.

Did Naruto have the strength to become a Kage?

Yes!

Did Naruto have the brains to become a Kage?

Regarding the Daimyo Situation, definitely yes!

Could Naruto make the situation of the village worse than Danzo?

No!

Then, without much thought, Shikaku chose Naruto.

Simply because he realized Naruto was somehow connected to Danzo’s downfall.

But the fact that Naruto didn’t kill Danzo and let him go just for Sasuke meant Naruto also understood the Uchiha’s problem.

Naruto was sacrificing Danzo to gain Sasuke’s favor. Would Sasuke be worth that favor?

Absolutely!

If Sasuke could grow strong enough to kill Itachi, he would certainly be worth this favor.

That’s why Shikaku used these carefully selected sentences to promote Naruto to those who didn’t vote for him.

After all, it was indeed hard for everyone to choose Naruto as a Hokage, especially with his age.

That’s right! This time, Naruto’s reputation as a Jinchuriki was not a problem.

Because they were all Jonin, they understood the importance of Jinchuriki. So, they wouldn’t go out of their way to hate on Naruto after he saved the village.

Naruto nodded his head.

”Then, I shall take the role of the Fifth Hokage of the Leaf. When will be my inauguration?”

”Tomorrow! After this, we will hold a funeral for the Third Hokage and those unfortunate ninjas who lost their lives.”

”But since you are already the Fifth Hokage, it’s time for you to give Danzo his status.”

Shikaku answered.

Hearing that, Naruto nodded and said.

”Then, as the Fifth Hokage, I hereby declare Danzo Shimura as the First SSS Rank of Konoha.”

Before they could point out that there was no such thing as SSS Rank, Naruto continued.

”Based on his numerous crimes against the village, his involvement in the demise of Konoha’s founding clan, and the stains on the legacy of the Second Hokage, he will be treated as the biggest threat to Konoha.”

”From now on, any individual or organization working with Danzo Shimura will be considered a direct attack on Konoha.”

”Thus, Konoha will declare direct war on the party working with Danzo.”

As soon as he said that, Shikaku’s eyes widened in surprise as he clapped.

”Brilliant, Lord Hokage!”

Naruto looked at him and smiled.

”Thank you! Danzo is a major threat to the village. He holds some of the most secretive information of Konoha and the Fire Country.”

”Thus, we must make sure that no party has the courage to work with this man. Uncle Shikaku, can you complete the bounty yourself?”

”Yes, Lord Hokage!”

Shikaku nodded.

Hearing his explanation, everyone’s eyes brightened.

Daimyo nodded his head.

”Then, if there is nothing more, I should head back to my place.”
