”I see! Then there is nothing we can do about it.”

Naruto nodded and decided to ignore the matter completely. It would take them quite a while to get used to his role as a Hokage.

Ibiki asked.

”Lord Hokage, why don’t we just explain the situation to the public?”

Naruto shook his head and spoke righteously.

”No, we can’t contain our emotions. The more we contain it, the worse it becomes.”

”It’s better to let those people rally their hatred and anger towards the Third Hokage and Danzo, lest they start doubting the village.”

”After all, the village has gone through quite a lot of trouble. First, the Nine-Tails attacked. Then, the Uchiha were massacred.”

”And now, the enemy village was able to reach us and attack.”

When Naruto said that, Shikaku noticed a curl on his lips.

Shikaku couldn’t help but feel amused. Naruto was taking revenge, but he was taking revenge on the right terms.

After all, it was Danzo who did this first, and Hiruzen did nothing about it.

So of course, Naruto was allowed to take his revenge. Even if he wasn’t, nobody could say anything about it.

At this moment, Naruto turned towards Ibiki and said.

”But the Hokage’s reputation is also very important. We need to use some rumors to change the people’s perspective from the Third Hokage to his elders.”

”Spread the rumors that, due to the Third Hokage’s old age and his love for peace, the Elders conspired against the Hokage to let Danzo run rampant in the village.”

Yes, since they were already dead, they must contribute to the peace of the village.

Naruto wasn’t going to let them just disappear so easily, especially since thirty percent of the Leaf’s misfortune was caused by them.

Shikaku’s lips twitched.

”Lord Hokage, although this will clear the Hokage’s reputation, it will be bad for the future elders.”

Naruto gave him a weird look and said.

”Uncle Shikaku, Pervy Sage often goes to hot springs just to spy on women; some of them are married women.”

”Granny Tsunade spends all of her fortune, made by her family, on gambling. Do they even have any reputation?”

Shikaku froze.

”Hey, Naruto, this is too much. I only go to hot springs where unmarried women take baths.”

”And more importantly, I am gathering materials for my work.”

Jiraiya had just arrived near the window when he heard Naruto speaking badly about him.

So, he immediately ran inside and berated Naruto for his disrespect towards elders.

”Pervy Sage, my mother told me to never touch drugs, prostitution, and poison. So, yes, your reputation doesn’t really matter.”

”As for Granny Tsunade, she had saved many lives during the Second and Third Great Ninja Wars, besides giving guidance to many medical ninjas.”

”This will not affect her reputation.”

Hearing his words, Shikaku nodded.

”Yes, Lord Hokage!”

He quickly took out a scroll and said.

”We have calculated the cost for the repairs. Putting this aside, what should we do about Sand Village’s Jinchuriki and his siblings?”

As for the others, they were already killed except for Baki. He survived, and Naruto didn’t kill him afterward.

Not only because his identity as Gaara’s teacher was important, but also because he wholeheartedly supported Gaara later.

”We need to negotiate new terms with the Sand Village. Even though their Kage didn’t die at our hands, they did try to invade Konoha.”

”But considering they didn’t have anything to offer, and the fact that we have Gaara, means we have to squeeze out some benefit.”

Naruto took out the map and said.

”This is Roran. My father took a mission to this kingdom a long time ago and sealed a special Chakra.”

”According to my dad’s memories, he saw me three years from now. I was chasing a Sand Village traitor ninja who managed to unseal that Chakra.”

”Though that conversation revealed two things.”

”First, Lady Tsunade was the Hokage, as I was not able to unlock Dad’s Chakra during the Forest of Death.”

”Second, my father sealed his memories of the future to make sure the future remains unchanged, but now the future has changed. I am the Fifth Hokage.”

”So, we need to acquire this piece of land through our negotiation.”

Hearing his words, all four people inside the room were stunned.

Time Travel!

That was quite a scary topic. Like, if time travel was possible, wouldn’t it be possible to kill someone before they were even born?

”But how can a ninja from Sand Village break Minato’s seal? Even if it is younger Minato, his Sealing skills were top-notch.”

Jiraiya spoke.

Naruto replied.

”I don’t know. I don’t have the complete memory of what happened, but it was Dragon Veins that allowed time travel, and it was also open.”

”The Queen could close the Dragon Veins, stopping it from releasing its Chakra, but for some reason, it was open during that time.”

”Maybe it was because Queen Sara, who closed the Dragon Veins, could be dead, and her death released the Dragon Veins.”

”Pervy Sage, don’t underestimate others! Just because my dad’s Sealing Jutsu was exceptional doesn’t mean others can’t find a way around it.”

Naruto was getting tired of lying, but he knew he had to lie through his teeth.

Many things needed to be hidden, but he still had to reveal a few things. He didn’t want to keep his village in the dark, ruling it like a dictator.

He genuinely wanted to rule it as a Hokage; thus, he had to give them information on these important things.

Especially something as important as Dragon Veins.

(A/N- If you have not noticed, yes, I am going to include movies. Of course, I will change a few things to make the plot more connected. But we don’t go that deep into the details of those movies.)

”So, we need to get authority over this land so we can send our ninjas here to keep an eye on this Seal?”

Shikaku asked and quickly replied.

”But there is one problem. We will be sending our ninjas to the enemy’s land.”

”Considering how easily they broke this alliance, what’s stopping them from doing it again?”
