Pregnant During An Apocalypse [BL]

Chapter 250: Chapter 250 - Who do you want?

Shao didn’t know what came over him.

One moment, he was rolling his eyes at Jai’s bratty retorts, biting the inside of his cheek to hold back a smirk, and the next, something shifted inside him. It wasn’t the words. It wasn’t even Jai’s silly declaration about Zei being bigger. It was the way Jai kept stubbornly marching ahead, tossing things into the cart without a glance back. The way his voice cracked slightly when he repeated, ”I’ll sleep with him.”

It was ridiculous. Utterly frustrating. And so painfully, maddeningly tempting.

Shao hadn’t meant to move. But before he realized it, his body had acted on its own. His arms came around Jai from behind and pulled him in tight—tight enough that he could feel every shallow breath, every twitch of hesitation. It wasn’t lust that took hold of him in that moment. It was need. A need so fierce it shook his core.

He buried his nose against Jai’s shoulder, his hands clutching the smaller man with a desperation that made him feel exposed. Vulnerable. Like if he didn’t hold Jai just right, the man would vanish into thin air.

”Shao...”

Jai’s voice was small. Strained.

Realizing what he was doing, Shao loosened his grip and stepped back quickly, his heart racing in his chest. ”Sorry,” he muttered, averting his gaze.

But Jai didn’t walk away. Instead, he turned to face him, reached out, and caught hold of Shao’s sleeve.

That single touch froze Shao in place.

He dared a glance down. Jai’s face was flushed—a deep pink creeping up to his ears. His eyes blinked slowly, lashes fluttering like he was struggling to stay composed. And then—God help him—he licked his lips.

A slow, nervous lick that left them glossy, inviting. Tempting.

Shao felt his restraint crumble.

He bent down, leaning just enough to close the distance. His hand hovered near Jai’s cheek for a second, unsure, before he gently cupped his face and leaned in, brushing their lips together.

It was a whisper of a kiss. Soft, testing.

Then he pulled back, breath trembling, eyes searching Jai’s.

Jai didn’t flinch. His eyes were half-lidded, his lips still parted, like he hadn’t even realized the kiss had ended and was already waiting for more.

That look undid Shao.

He leaned in again, this time slower, deeper. Their lips met with a sensual gentleness. The kiss wasn’t rushed—it was coaxing, testing. Jai responded hesitantly, but his lips moved along with Shao’s. It was soft, exploratory, like the both of them were feeling their way through it, unsure of what came next but unwilling to stop.

Shao tilted his head slightly, his hand coming up to cup Jai’s cheek, his thumb brushing along the heated skin. He kissed him again, and again, this time longer, deeper. Jai’s breaths were growing faster, and when Shao parted from him for just a second, Jai was already gasping softly.

Shao pressed a kiss to his jaw, to the corner of his mouth, before returning to his lips. Jai made a soft sound against him—something between a whimper and a sigh—and Shao felt himself swell with hunger.

His hand slid from Jai’s cheek to the back of his neck, fingers threading into his hair. Jai whimpered into the kiss, his knees wobbling just slightly.

Shao took it as a sign to slow down, pulling away just enough for Jai to breathe. The younger man gasped, cheeks puffing with each gulp of air, but his hands didn’t let go of Shao’s shirt.

”Too fast?” Shao asked softly, brushing his thumb over Jai’s cheek.

Jai looked up at him with hooded eyes, red-faced, panting. ”You’re too tall,” he mumbled, voice barely above a whisper. ”My neck hurts...”

Shao’s restraint snapped clean.

He let out a soft, hoarse sound and lifted Jai effortlessly by the thighs. Jai yelped, grabbing onto his shoulders. Shao walked the two steps needed and pressed him up against the nearby shelf, holding him there securely.

Their lips crashed again—no longer gentle. It was urgent, messy, hungry. Shao devoured his mouth with abandon, his grip tightening on Jai’s thighs. The way Jai clung to him only added to the dizzying heat.

”Say it again,” Shao rasped between kisses.

Jai was too breathless to answer.

”Say who you want.”

Jai blinked, lips swollen and trembling. ”Y-you,” he whispered.

Shao’s eyes darkened. ”Good.”

He kissed him again, deeper now, his tongue sweeping past Jai’s parted lips. Jai gasped, his fingers curling tightly into Shao’s hair. He tried to kiss back, but he was clearly new to this—his movements were sloppy, uncertain, but filled with emotion.

Their breaths tangled. Their tongues brushed. Jai moaned into his mouth, and the sound went straight to Shao’s gut.

Shao broke the kiss again, only for a second, breathing hard.

”Still want Zei?” he murmured against Jai’s lips.

Jai shook his head dumbly, eyes glazed.

”Thought so.”

And then he kissed him again, pressing his body closer, letting Jai feel every inch of him. His hand slipped beneath the hem of Jai’s shirt, resting lightly against his back, not groping, not pushing—just holding.

Jai clung to him, fingers tangled in his shirt. His legs tightened slightly around Shao’s waist, and he let out another whimper that made him shiver.

Shao’s breath hitched.

That sound—that desperate, needy whimper—snapped whatever thread of patience he still clung to.

He leaned down, his mouth hovering just beside Jai’s ear. ”You drive me crazy, you know that?” he whispered, his voice rough, laced with something dark and trembling. Jai only made another soft sound in response, shivering under him.

Without waiting, Shao pressed hot, open-mouthed kisses along Jai’s jaw, working his way down. His lips trailed to the side of Jai’s neck, tasting the flushed skin with a low groan.

And then—he licked.

Slow, deliberate.

A full drag of his tongue from the curve of Jai’s neck up to just beneath his ear, savoring the taste like he was starving.

Jai gasped. ”Ah—!”

His moan cracked through the air, loud and raw, echoing off the quiet shelves of the abandoned store. His fingers dug into Shao’s shoulders, holding on for dear life. His hips twitched slightly in Shao’s grip, chest heaving.

That sound—God, that sound—lit a fire beneath Shao’s skin.

He growled low in his throat and pulled back just enough to see Jai’s face, his lips parted, flushed and dazed, eyes clouded with want.

Shao couldn’t take it.

He gripped the hem of Jai’s shirt and ripped it open—buttons flying, fabric tearing with a satisfying snarl. Jai’s body arched at the sudden burst of aggression, chest rising and falling, pale skin flushed and trembling.

His slim torso was laid bare. Smooth, lithe, delicate. Every ridge and hollow was exposed, and Shao’s eyes devoured him like he was a feast.

”God, you’re beautiful,” he muttered, voice hoarse.

Then he dove in, his mouth moving across Jai’s chest, pressing hot, wet kisses over every inch of skin. He trailed lower, leaving a path of open-mouthed kisses and sharp little bites that made Jai writhe against the shelf. Shao kissed along his ribs, then back up, leaving pink marks in his wake—each one deliberate, each one a claim.

He found a spot just beneath Jai’s collarbone and sucked hard, drawing a deep purple bruise to the surface. Jai let out a breathy moan, his head tipping back, exposing more of his throat.

Shao couldn’t stop himself.

He kissed lower.

Until his mouth found it.

The red, sensitive nub of Jai’s nipple, hardened from the cool air and attention.

He licked it first—softly. Just a teasing flick of his tongue.

Then he took it into his mouth.

Jai screamed.

”S-Shao—!”

His back arched violently, hands flying up to tangle in Shao’s hair. His legs tightened around Shao’s waist like a vice, drawing him closer, closer, as if trying to melt into him.

Shao groaned around the nipple, sucking harder, flicking it with his tongue before pulling back to blow cool air across it. The sharp contrast made Jai shudder and whimper, eyes squeezing shut.

”You’re so sensitive,” Shao murmured, trailing his fingers down Jai’s side. ”Is this what you wanted? Hm?”

Jai nodded frantically, his face flushed a deep red, mouth parted with shallow breaths. ”D-don’t stop—please, don’t stop—”

Shao smirked, a devilish glint in his eyes.

”Oh, I won’t.”
