Pregnant During An Apocalypse [BL]

Chapter 219: Chapter 219 - Reassurance

Muchen lay still beneath the soft covers, his eyes half-lidded as Yunfeng leaned over him, the early morning light slipping through the thin curtains. The hush between them was filled with the sound of slow breaths and faint heartbeats.

His fingers reached up, gently threading through Yunfeng’s pale white hair. The strands felt softer than snow, and they shimmered faintly in the light. But the color still unsettled him. Muchen’s brows furrowed slightly, worry creeping into his expression even in a moment like this.

Yunfeng noticed.

He pulled back just enough to catch Muchen’s gaze. ”I’m still me,” he whispered, kissing the corner of his lips. ”just with different hair and eyes”

Muchen opened his mouth to respond, but Yunfeng kissed him again—this time lower, tracing a slow path down his throat. Warm lips pressed to the hollow of his collarbone, then his chest. Each kiss lingered a little longer than the last, meant to soothe, to distract, and to remind.

When Muchen’s hand reached up to touch his hair again, Yunfeng let him, nuzzling into the touch briefly before moving further down. His hands were steady, slow, as if worshipping every part of him he passed. The soft pressure of his mouth returned, this time more eager, more deliberate. A light suckle near his ribs. A teasing trail across his hipbone.

Muchen gasped softly, his body tensing. His hand gripped at the sheets.

Then Yunfeng gave a small huff of breath against his skin and murmured something that made Muchen’s eyes widen.

”I want to taste you muchen.... Oh your scent is driving me nuts.” His blue green pupils now blown up appearing black with lust.

”Yunfeng...”

He only looked up with a soft smirk, then kissed lower.

Warm heart enveloped Muchens neather regions making his hips arch up in pleasure. Muchen’s eyes fluttered shut, his thoughts scattering like ash.

His grip in Yunfeng’s hair tightened as he moaned softly.

Yunfeng looked up grinning with him still in his mouth.

”oh my god yunfeng... you crazy mofo...” muchen could not handle that overwhelming sensation. Tears dropped down his face.

Yunfeng reached up and gently wiped them away.

”Yunfeng... my yunfeng. If.. if you dare leave me again I... I will go crazy. I sweat... I will go batshit crazy,” he moaned loudly arching his hips towards his lover.

Even in the haze, his thumb stroked those white strands. His breath caught, not just from what Yunfeng was doing—but because he was still afraid of losing him.

But Yunfeng seemed to understand without being told. He lifted his eyes and locked their gaze again—his mouth never leaving Muchen’s skin—and pressed a firm kiss just above his hip, as if to say: I’m still here. I’m still yours.

Muchen groaned, soft and breathy. ”ahhh don’t bite...”

Yunfeng chuckled low against his skin, sending shivers down his spine.

Soon his body ejected into his mouth which yunfeng drank with pleasure.

”spit it out,” he grabbed him by his hair.

With s grin yunfeng swallowed.

”you... you infuriating bastard.” Suddenly tears stung his eyes. He pulled yunfeng up and hugged him close in his embrace. ”I love you... I love you so much.. so please.. please never leave me.”

”I won’t.” yunfeng whispered a silent promise.

The room was quiet again, save for the soft rustle of fabric and the distant calls of birds outside the window. The heat between them had mellowed into something tender—raw, but comforting.

Muchen lay still, breath slowing, body warm and limp from the aftermath. His eyes remained half-open, watching the ceiling, lost in thought until he felt the mattress shift.

Yunfeng nestled against his side, his bare skin cool and smooth, arms curling carefully around Muchen’s waist. He tucked his head just beneath Muchen’s chin, letting out a soft, content sigh.

Muchen didn’t speak at first. He simply pulled the blanket up and wrapped both arms around Yunfeng protectively, his fingers lightly stroking the nape of his neck. The white strands of hair tangled between his fingers again.

”I hate that it’s changed,” he finally whispered, his voice husky and tired. ”I hate that the world did this to you.”

Yunfeng didn’t argue. He just turned his face slightly and pressed a kiss to Muchen’s collarbone. ”But you’re still here,” he murmured. ”That’s more than I could ever ask for.”

They stayed like that for a while. No pressure to speak, no urgency in their movements. Just warmth, the rise and fall of their chests syncing slowly.

Yunfeng gently traced idle shapes on Muchen’s stomach. ”You know,” he said quietly, ”when I woke up in that clinic and saw you crying like that... I knew, then and there, that even if the world fell apart, as long as you were near me, I’d survive it.”

Muchen didn’t reply. His throat was too tight to speak. He kissed the crown of Yunfeng’s head instead, his hands holding him a little tighter.

After a long pause, he finally found his voice. ”Don’t disappear on me again. Even for a minute.”

”I won’t,” Yunfeng whispered, his fingers stilling. ”Not unless you’re holding my hand.”

They fell asleep like that, bodies curled close, foreheads occasionally bumping in the middle of a dream.

”I have breakfast...”Jai opened the door happily shaking the food bag in hand.

Suddenly he froze up one foot still raised mid-step. The room smelled overwhelmingly of roses and sweet oranges—thick, heady, unmistakably intimate.

The scent hit him like a wall. He blinked. Once. Twice.

”Oh my god...” he whispered.

There they were—Muchen and Yunfeng—tangled together in the lower bunk, blanket drawn up, hair tousled, bare shoulders visible. Their faces were soft in slumber, Yunfeng’s lips resting just near Muchen’s neck, Muchen’s arm still draped protectively around him. It looked like a scene from a romance movie.

Jai stared, face burning. ”I was gone for ten minutes... just ten minutes!” he hissed under his breath, trying not to drop the bag. ”Yunfeng, you stupid, this is a shared spaceee...”

He tried to retreat as quietly as possible, reaching for the doorknob with all the stealth of a guilty cat. But just as he turned, his back bumped against something solid—warm, firm, and definitely alive.

He froze again.

”Why are you standing out here?” came the deep voice behind him. Calm. Observant.

Jai slowly turned his head, dread pooling in his stomach. ”Shao,” he breathed, wide-eyed.

The man stood very close, too close, eyes flicking briefly to the shut door. He raised a brow and reached forward toward the knob.

”Nope—!” Jai yelped softly, grabbing Shao’s wrist on instinct.

Shao’s muscles stiffened beneath his touch, and Jai realized what he’d done. He quickly let go, laughing awkwardly. ”Um... they’re... kind of busy right now.”

Shao looked at him, expression unreadable. Jai tried not to fidget. Tried. Then Shao leaned just slightly closer, perhaps to peer at the door—or maybe to inspect the obvious blush now streaked across Jai’s pale face.

Then it hit him.

A sudden, rich scent.

Agarwood.

Not strong or aggressive, but sensual. Heavy. Lingering. It wafted from Shao like a slow wave, curling around his senses. Jai’s brain hiccuped. His eyes went wide. His breath caught.

What the hell?

He stumbled back, blinking furiously. ”Y-You... you should come back after an hour or so,” he blurted.

Then he spun around and bolted down the hallway, muttering ”I’m fine, I’m totally fine, I am not thinking things—” as he vanished around the corner like a man being chased.

Shao stood there for a long moment. Then, with a small tilt of his head, he lowered his hand from the doorknob and chuckled under his breath. Quietly.

”Interesting.”
