Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

”I have waited for so long.

Finally, I can say goodbye to this lightless abyss.”

Baal took a step forward, then soared into the air, flying towards the tunnel.

Behind him, the remaining Twelve Demons lined up neatly, following closely behind.

The dark palace quickly collapsed, transforming into bizarrely shaped demons, baring their fangs and claws, tearing at each other, scrambling to take positions behind the Twelve Demons.

Not long after entering the tunnel, Baal heard the voice of his loyal servant Agares:

”Lord Baal, we must hurry.

There’s a group of youngsters trying to interfere with the tunnel, I’m not sure I can stop them.

This time, it wasn’t Hero Lox himself who activated this tunnel.

But a woman he trusts.

The Hero ultimately couldn’t fully trust us.”

Demon Baal gave the orders: ”Then do everything in your power to stop them.

The Gate of the Abyss opened last time by the Curse Sect wasn’t strong enough, I couldn’t fully come through, so I sent you all.

And while you’re at it, gather some intel about the outside.

The intel you’ve gathered, I’ve analyzed it carefully.

This time, the strength of the Abyss Gate is sufficient.

I will be the first to come out.

As long as I can successfully leave.

Even if I’m the only one who can leave...

We demons will definitely sweep across this fragile world and become the true rulers of this continent.

Once I’m out, be ready immediately, and at any cost, transfer me out.”

”Yes!”

Agares’ response was firm, yet externally he appeared frail and elderly, without any sign of emotion on his face, as if he wasn’t thinking of anything, only staring intently at Bai Jin and her companions approaching.

The voice of Yongfang Chunlan echoed in Agares’ mind:

”Isn’t this what you wish for now!

If you don’t want this door to the abyss to close, then give your all and assist!”

Agares sighed: ”As always, forcing others into difficult positions, I’m just a support.

After all, there are three strong magicians opposite.

This time, it’s not like just now.

Oh well, soon I will meet the Lord Baal whom I’ve longed for.

I’ll try to risk this old life of mine.”

Struggling to stand up from the platform, Agares raised a smile at the corner of his mouth, his inverted V-shaped pupils emitting a strange red glow.

Waving the scepter in his hand, the eagle on Agares’ shoulder flapped its wings and swiftly approached Bai Jin and the others like a torpedo.

Tico temporarily paused the magic he was weaving, swung his magic wand, and unleashed a hard Ice Magic, directly striking the incoming eagle.

The eagle’s figure flickered and suddenly disappeared, bypassing Tico’s Ice Magic.

The flying eagle fiercely flapped its wings, its body turning illusionary, splitting once, then twice, then four times, then eight times, until a total of thirty-two eagles surrounded Bai Jin and her companions heading towards the Dark Array from all directions.

Folding its wings, the eagle suddenly accelerated, diving fiercely towards Bai Jin and the others.

Li Yan spread his arms to the sides, constructing a solid Defense Magic Array for the team.

The flying eagle didn’t retreat an inch, and it slammed head-on into the Defense Barrier woven by Li Yan, turning into a phantom and penetrating through the barrier.

Agares did not use any attack skills; he merely used the large flock of birds to intimidate Bai Jin and others.

But those eagles, they were not just used for intimidation, they had other purposes.

Agares’ figure became bizarrely illusionary, and the next moment, he appeared near one of the eagle’s avatars.

He raised the scepter and smashed it onto Li Yan’s barrier, instantly shattering Li Yan’s barrier into pieces.

Magic power turned into fragments, rolling in the sky and disappearing.

”Three against one, I’m at an overwhelming disadvantage.

Can I make one of you leave?”

Agares maintained a kindly smile on his face, yet he held the scepter like a sharp spike, thrusting it fiercely towards Bai Jin’s back.

Activating the effect of the long robe [Flow of Darkness], a thin shield appeared around Bai Jin.

Upon touching Bai Jin’s shield, Agares did not try to break through the shield whose thickness was unknown, but instead, he released a Displacement Skill, transferring the touched shield along with Bai Jin to the nearby sky.

Bai Jin instantly distanced herself from the dark magic array!

Tico launched an attack, and Li Yan constructed a defensive barrier, but only Bai Jin was fully engaged in constructing counter-magic.

Agares initially targeted Bai Jin.

The increase in distance from the Dark Magic Array did not discourage Bai Jin.

A series of small magic arrays appeared beneath her feet, releasing blue Wind Blades, propelling Bai Jin like a rocket, closing the distance with the dark array in the sky once more.

Seeing this, Agares remained unhurried, his figure flashing continuously in midair, incredibly positioning his body in front of Bai Jin.

”Young lady, I advise you not to make futile struggles; as they say, ’the wise adapt to circumstances’...

Miss Yongfang Chunlan, with her unique awareness, released us.

Your chances of winning are only getting smaller, and all your current struggles are in vain.”

”Whether they are in vain, it’s not for you to decide!

We also have reasons that compel us to fight.”

Temporarily stopping the magic she’s weaving, Bai Jin imbued her magic wand with numerous Attack Magic, not backing down, colliding head-on with Agares.

Agares attempted to repeat his previous trick, planning to use his ability to transfer Bai Jin to a further place once again.

Bai Jin did not back down, she sensed Agares’ intention and bet everything on it.

If one could understand the majority of Teleportation Magic, they would find many commonalities among them; the operational logic is basically the same.

The Teleportation Magic used by Agares was no different.

Yang Yu’s consideration of all aspects also influenced Bai Jin. Bai Jin also contemplated strategies for dealing with different Teleportation Magic and earnestly consulted the knowledge repository within the Magic Wand Sigh Seed.

The kind of magic that Agares used to teleport people randomly to nearby places required rapid positioning of the person’s location and the transferred location.

This happens in an instant.

Generally speaking, to teleport further, more magic power is needed.

Instantaneous displacement skills usually have the characteristic of determining teleportation distance based on the amount of magic used.

The remaining factor is the direction.

As long as Agares restricted the direction within certain ranges, he could repeatedly teleport her to places far away from the Dark Magic Array.

Understanding the principle, it’s easier to manage.

All magic, when boiled down, is about making magic power move in specific patterns.

This inevitably involves many digital modules, and naturally, direction can also be digitized.

The knowledge repository of the Magic Wand Sigh Seed informed Bai Jin that if she could add a ”negative” flag to the directional module of the Teleportation Magic, she could be teleported in the opposite direction.
