The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Sadam Vinson felt a piercing pain in his heart, unable to smile anymore.

Candice Yancey looked him over, sighed, reached out to pat his shoulder, and comforted him: ”... Unrequited love! Don’t be too upset.”

”...” Sadam Vinson felt another stab in his heart, deeply wounded.

Nathalie Quinlan booked a private room at Fauna Kitchen for their meal.

Amidst the clinking of glasses.

Grandpa Yancey ate quite a bit; he was in a great mood today and even indulged in a small drink, looking rosy-cheeked.

Nathalie sat to his left, accompanying him while eating, and managed to have a few bites herself.

Grandpa Yancey talked with Amadeus Yancey about the Yancey Family’s business in Inderia, not avoiding Nathalie, Sadam Vinson, and the others, and they chatted briefly.

Amadeus Yancey responded with two sentences, and the conversation ended shortly.

Grandpa Yancey turned his head, his gaze landed on the girl who had been mostly silent all night, quietly listening to their chat while eating.

He hesitated for a moment, put down his chopsticks: ”Nathalie, do you... do you want to enter The First Research Institute?”

Candice Yancey was chatting with Sadam Vinson, asking the name of the girl he liked, where her family lived, and what her parents did for work...

Upon hearing the old man ask Nathalie about The First Research Institute, she paused and involuntarily glanced towards the girl.

Sadam Vinson, who was in a bind, was suddenly rescued.

Everyone in the private room was paying attention to Grandpa Yancey and Nathalie.

Grandpa Yancey ignored their line of sight and focused on the girl, speaking kindly and gently: ”If you want to enter The First Research Institute, I can try to help. It might take some time. Nathalie, tell Grandpa Yancey, do you want to go in?”

Grandpa Yancey had an extremely strong network of connections, far more than just Jake Rabenstein.

He simply didn’t want to contact certain people.

For him, these connections are better left untouched for the Yancey Family’s benefit.

But Giordano Yancey truly cared for Nathalie, and if she wished to enter The First Research Institute, he would go as far as asking his old friends for help, even if it meant putting aside his pride.

Nathalie had not quite processed it, still holding her chopsticks, looking at Grandpa Yancey with some bewilderment.

Grandpa Yancey thought she was too shy to ask, about to speak again.

Amadeus Yancey interrupted him: ”Grandfather, eat your meal first.”

Giordano Yancey frowned slightly, clearly displeased: ”I’m talking to Nathalie, don’t interrupt. You don’t even know...”

Amadeus Yancey directly placed a piece of rib in his bowl, his eyebrows soft: ”Eat first.”

Nathalie finally realized, awkwardly coughed, put down her chopsticks, touched her nose, and was thinking about how to explain to Grandpa Yancey.

Grandpa Yancey looked around, feeling he was missing some important detail, and seeing Amadeus not letting him speak further, he silently picked up his chopsticks, returning to his food.

Sadam Vinson and Alfred Garland exchanged glances.

Both showed complex expressions.

... It seems that Grandpa Yancey still doesn’t know that Nathalie has already entered The First Research Institute and is chosen by Nicholas Fuller as the future successor.

This misunderstanding is quite big.

Grandpa Yancey and the others initially planned to stay at the Intercontinental Hotel, having booked two top-floor suites in advance.

Upon learning this, Amadeus Yancey called Zed Moore.

Zed Moore quickly came over and arranged a private residence for Grandpa Yancey and Candice Yancey, not far from the villa where Nathalie and they stayed.
