The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1891: Chapter 1891: Sorry, Nathalie Is Not Among the Lowest Ranks

Willy Kingsley lifted the corners of his mouth, looked up at the scrolling screen, and smiled: ”Anyway, the scores will be out in just an hour. We’ll wait and see. We also need to wait for Therry’s score to come out, so we can look at them together.”

One is likely to be first, the other might be last.

Just imagining the dramatic comparison when the scores are out made him want to laugh, and he couldn’t wait to see the show.

*

Therry Kingsley didn’t come out until after the exam time had ended, along with most people.

He found Zevaney Kingsley and the others and waited another hour before the scrolling screen started displaying scores.

The results of the first round of theoretical assessment came out quickly.

The first batch displayed were the rankings from 80-83.

No matter how poorly Therry performed, he wouldn’t end up in this rank range, and in the past, the Kingsleys Family wouldn’t specifically look at these ranks.

But this time, both Zevaney Kingsley and James Lawrence were focusing on the bottom ranks, checking if Nathalie Quinlan’s name was there.

As soon as the 80-83 ranks appeared, James Lawrence eagerly checked them and found that Nathalie Quinlan’s name wasn’t there, allowing him to breathe a sigh of relief.

At least not in the last 3 ranks.

Zevaney Kingsley also allowed a slight smile and her eyes darkened: ”It seems the Moore Family didn’t just pick anyone...”

James Lawrence gave a noncommittal smile: ”Yes, it seems her scores are better than we imagined.”

Zevaney looked at him with growing suspicion in her heart, after all, James was overly concerned about Nathalie Quinlan’s scores!

However, she quickly turned her head, masking the emotions in her eyes, and turned back to the scrolling screen, saying lightly: ”There’s still the 70-80 ranks, let’s take a look first.”

70-80 ranks aren’t much better than 80-83, still considered low scores.

But at least it’s not as bad as being in the bottom three ranks.

She estimated that Nathalie Quinlan at most squeezed into the 70-80 rank range, and not hitting 80-83 was already incredibly lucky.

...

Meanwhile, outside, Brian Bonette and Sadam Vinson were also closely watching the ranks on the scrolling screen.

Nathalie Quinlan’s name wasn’t within the 80-83 ranks.

Sadam Vinson breathed a sigh of relief.

Brian Bonette remained calm, as he never thought Nathalie Quinlan would be in the 80-83 ranks.

After all, that person isn’t one to score at the bottom.

No matter how hard The First Research Institute’s exam questions were, Nathalie, being the Top Scholar in the College Entrance Examination, would not end up at the bottom in a theoretical exam.

As expected, Nathalie Quinlan’s name didn’t appear in the 80-83 ranks...

Next, the 70-80 ranks appeared, with names and scores following the ranks.

Rank 71, Kris Ruberson, 43 points.

Rank 72, Boone, 41 points.

...

Then, at the bottom, was the score for rank 80, which was very poor, only 33 points.

Brian Bonette frowned, involuntarily turning his head to say to Amadeus Yancey: ”Why are The First Research Institute’s scores lower than in previous years, could this year’s exam questions be particularly difficult?”

He had seen previous years’ scores for the 70-80 ranks at The First Research Institute, typically above 40 points, but this year, rank 80 only had 33 points, 7 points lower.

points may not seem like much.

But it created a significant gap in the tens digit.

For example, previously, someone ranked 80th could say they scored 40 points, this year they could only say they scored 30 points.

points and 40 points, still sound quite different.

Amadeus Yancey didn’t speak, lightly raising his head, looking at the ranks and scores on the scrolling screen, without responding.

Feeling awkward, Brian Bonette then ran over to ask Nathalie Quinlan: ”Ms. Quinlan, did you feel the questions were particularly difficult when you were doing them earlier?”
