Genshin Impact: This Priest is Cringe, But She’s Also Unbeatable

A Prismatic Blessing 39: Time to Pull!

A Prismatic Blessing Chapter 39: Time to Pull!

A Prismatic Blessing Several scorching gazes, so intense they felt as if they could pierce straight through her soul, materialized in an instant and vanished just as quickly.

Celeste held her breath, her body locked in a defensive stance until the oppressive sensation of being watched finally receded completely.

The surrounding forest was as silent as it had been moments before, with no sign of any approaching enemy.

“An illusion?” she whispered to herself, a thought flashing through her mind.

That didn’t feel like killing intent.

It was more like… an intensely interested form of “spectating.” A high-level scouting method, one capable of ignoring spatial barriers to lock onto her location with pinpoint accuracy.

‘Are they “spectators” from outside the examination grounds?

Did my little performance just now catch someone’s eye?’ Once she reached this conclusion, the tension in Celeste’s shoulders eased slightly.

“Sis, where are we going now?” Selene asked.

She had already nimbly swept up the broken weapons and scattered materials dropped by the Giant Goblin warriors, stowing them in her spatial bracelet.

Every last piece was worth points.

“Find a place to rest and recover,” Celeste decided.

“The smell of blood here is too strong.

It’ll attract more trouble before long.” Without further hesitation, the two sisters plunged back into the depths of the forest, quickly backtracking along the hidden stream they had followed earlier.

Fifteen minutes later, they found a hollow by the clear stream, shielded from view by a thicket of bushes and a ring of jagged rocks.

The moment she confirmed they were safe, Celeste’s body went limp, and she practically collapsed onto the ground.

Only then did the deep, aching soreness in her muscles and the groaning protest of her overburdened bones surge forth like a tidal wave.

The continuous, high-intensity combat—especially that final “Great Cleanup” where she had single-handedly surrounded an entire squad—had consumed far more mental energy than physical strength.

All she wanted was to find a spot to slump down and let her frayed nerves finally, completely, unwind.

While the permanent attribute increases from the system kept her physical state better than expected, preserving her basic mobility, there was no escaping the mental fatigue.

Selene, however, was still buzzing with energy, like a happy little squirrel.

She cleared a patch of the stony beach and pulled a clean cloth from her storage space to spread out, looking every bit the seasoned wilderness camper.

“Sis, lie down and rest!

I’ll keep watch!” she declared, patting her chest proudly.

Her brand-new shield, the [Immovable Mountain], stood propped beside her, its steady luster flickering reassuringly in the dappled light filtering through the forest canopy.

Celeste gratefully accepted, leaning back against a giant boulder that had been worn smooth by the stream.

The cool, damp river breeze washed over her, and the frantic buzzing in her brain finally began to subside.

With a thought, she summoned the system panel that only she could see.

[Elation Coins: 3110] ‘Oh?

When did I save up this much?’ It seemed that her reverse-psychology trick of “confirming the scapegoat,” as well as her recent, wholehearted “Great Cleanup” and the declaration of “Madness,” had all deeply pleased a certain fun-loving Aeon.

Physical recovery would take time, so she might as well… Looking at her Elation Coin balance—enough for one ten-pull from the [Newbie Welfare Pool (Limited)] at 1280 points, plus another from the [Myriad Worlds Elation Permanent Pool] at 1600 points—Celeste’s mind began to stir.

The Newbie Pool had one last ten-pull.

‘Let’s use it to see just how good my luck is today.’ [Newbie Welfare Pool (Limited)] [Remaining Pulls: 1/2] Celeste closed her eyes, trying to calm the excited thumping in her chest.

The last ten-pull had given her Noelle’s character card and the Favonius Greatsword, the very tools that had allowed her to turn the tables and go from prey to hunter.

‘What will it be this time?’ Her will tapped the [Ten-Pull] button.

[Ding!

Elation Coins -1280.

Wish commencing!] A bloom of light!

Ten meteors tore through the void of her consciousness, trailing long tails of fire as they carved brilliant trajectories across the inner darkness.

White, blue, green, white… It was the familiar, underwhelming start of blues and whites.

[Ding!

Obtained: Mora x5000!

(White)] [Ding!

Obtained: Tricolor Dango x2!

(Blue)] [Ding!

Obtained: Goulash x3!

(Green)] [Ding!

Obtained: Credit Points x10000!

(White)] The first four lights yielded some currency from Teyvat and the Astral Express, along with a few dishes that could quickly restore stamina.

Practical, but utterly unexciting.

[Ding!

Obtained: Phoenix Scale x1!

(Blue)] [Ding!

Obtained: Phoenix Beak x1!

(Blue)] Celeste’s eye twitched.

‘Are you serious?

Even this kind of weapon exists?

Aha, you’re the Aeon of Elation, not Propagation!

You could kill me and I still wouldn’t use the “Dance of the Evening Crane”!’ Just then, the seventh meteor suddenly flared with a different color.

Vzzt!

A deep, noble purple light instantly saturated her entire field of vision, washing out the surrounding blues and whites until they were little more than dim specks.

‘There it is!

The guaranteed purple!’ [Ding!

Obtained: Cinnabar Spindrift x1!

(Purple)] [Cinnabar Spindrift]: Polearm.

Increases DMG against enemies affected by Hydro or Pyro by 28%.

“A special effect weapon!” Celeste’s eyes lit up.

Immediately after, another system prompt sounded.

[Ding!

Detected that the weapon ‘Black Tassel Spear’of the same origin exists in the Host’s inventory.

Proceed with’Weapon Fusion’?] [After fusion, the higher quality ‘Cinnabar Spindrift’will serve as the core, consuming the’Black Tassel Spear,’inheriting its’Bane of the Soft’trait, and retaining the appearance of the’Elysia Staff’manifested by the Host.]’You can even do that?’ Celeste was thrilled.

This meant her “staff” could undergo a massive upgrade without her having to reveal a brand-new weapon.

“Fuse!” [Fusion successful!

Your weapon has been strengthened!] With that major matter settled, Celeste turned her attention to the eighth light.

Green.

[Congratulations Host for obtaining: Recurve Bow (Green)] A plain bow.

Better than nothing.

She’d keep it as a spare.

The ninth light was blue again.

[Congratulations Host for obtaining: Skill Book · Gale Step (Blue)] [Gale Step]: Passive aura skill.

After learning, you and all teammates within thirty meters gain a 10% increase in movement speed.

This skill… Celeste’s breath hitched for a fraction of a second.

‘A god-tier skill!’ In a Domain that demanded constant movement and kiting, a permanent group-wide speed aura was of immeasurable strategic value.

Better mobility, faster support, and… superior escape capabilities.

If she’d had this skill earlier, she might not have even needed to face that Giant Goblin head-on.

She immediately chose to learn it.

A current of air, light as a breeze, swirled around her legs for a moment before dissipating, leaving her body feeling noticeably lighter.

Only one pull left.

Celeste’s mindset had completely stabilized.

A purple weapon and a blue god-tier skill already made this ten-pull a massive win.

Even if the last one was just another blue, she would be more than satisfied.

However, just as that thought crossed her mind, the tenth light erupted.

It wasn’t blue.

It wasn’t purple.

And it certainly wasn’t the legendary gold.

It was… a prismatic light she had never seen before, a flowing, shifting radiance woven from countless dreamlike colors.

The moment this light appeared, the entire system space seemed to freeze.

All the previous brilliance—the purples, the blues, the whites—was reduced to humble dust before it.

An indescribable, otherworldly texture, one that seemed to condense all the beauty and laughter in the universe, instantly filled her sea of consciousness.

[Ding!

Congratulations Host for triggering ultimate luck, obtaining—] [Blessing of the Pink Fairy Lady (Quality:???) (Level: Unknown)] [Effect: Unknown.

It seems to be waiting quietly, waiting for the moment to bloom in all its brilliance.

Perhaps, in a moment that requires both beauty and miracles, it can bring an unexpected turning point?

♪] [Description: A selfless gift from a “Pristine Girl.” She hopes everyone can pursue their dreams and live their most beautiful lives.

She loves everyone in the world, but she has a special preference for cute girls!

♪] [Note: As brilliant as flying flowers, as translucent as crystal, as pristine as her… The blessing left by a girl as beautiful as a kaleidoscopic butterfly.

Its true power shall be witnessed by your own eyes!

♦] Celeste’s brain went completely blank.

“???” ‘Prismatic light?

Question mark quality?

Unknown effect?”Miss Pink Elf?”Elysia?”A blessing?”What in the actual hell is all this?!’ After the [Newbie Welfare Pool (Limited)] erupted with this kaleidoscopic light, the entire interface quickly dimmed and turned transparent, finally dissolving into motes of starlight and vanishing completely.

Her two opportunities for a ten-pull were now exhausted.

Celeste slowly withdrew from the system space, her consciousness returning to her body.

She could clearly “see” a new, mysterious mark deep within her soul.

It emitted a faint pink glow, yet it was utterly undetectable by any conscious probe.

It lay dormant, granting no power, causing no change, as if it were nothing more than a simple, beautiful brand.

“Sis?

What’s wrong?

Why is your face a little red?” Selene leaned in curiously, reaching out to touch her forehead.

“Were you pushing yourself too hard in the fight?

Do you have a fever?” “…It’s nothing.” Celeste snapped out of her daze, swatting her sister’s hand away as she forcibly suppressed the chaotic storm of wild joy, shock, and utter confusion raging in her heart.

This gacha pull was so lucky it was downright eerie.

Not only did she get a purple weapon and a blue god-tier skill, but it ended with an unheard-of prismatic reward.

This was making her seriously question her long-held identity as a “bad luck magnet.” ‘When things are this abnormal, there’s gotta be a catch.’ She glanced at her remaining 1830 Elation Coins and decisively abandoned the idea of immediately trying her luck on the [Myriad Worlds Elation Permanent Pool].

One shouldn’t get too greedy.

If she used up this wave of heaven-defying luck now, who knew what kind of trash she’d pull next time.

“Sis, what’s next?

Should we keep looking for monsters to farm points?” Selene asked, her eyes sparkling with the desire to climb the rankings.

“No rush.” Celeste remained sprawled against the rock, her voice laced with a post-fatigue laziness.

“Eighth in the whole county is already pretty good.

Let me be a salted fish for a while…” Before her voice could fade, the familiar system prompt sounded once more.

[Ding!

Detected that the Host is producing slack-off emotions of ‘being content with small gains.’ Making oneself comfortable is also a form of elation, is it not?

Congratulations to the Host for beginning to gradually comprehend the essence of Elation.
