Quick Transmigration: The Cannon Fodder's Comeback in the Era Tales

Chapter 123: Chapter 123: Eldest Sister-in-Law Eloping with Someone 35

Er Lai’s mother called her son to get up in the morning, and found an extra woman in his bed. If it were anyone else, Er Lai’s mother would stay silent, pretending she hadn’t seen anything.

But the other person was Liu Baozhu.

Er Lai’s mother immediately flew into a rage, and yanked the naked woman out of bed, pulling her out of the house and started beating her at the door.

The Er Laizi family had no courtyard walls, so the neighbors on both sides saw Er Lai’s mother beating a naked woman and stopped cooking. Curious, they ran over to watch.

A strong woman saw the woman was Liu Baozhu and hurriedly went to cover her husband’s eyes, pulling his ear as she walked him away.

However, most women feared their husbands. Seeing their husbands’ eyes fixed on Liu Baozhu, burning with desire, they didn’t dare confront their men, but instead bore hatred for Liu Baozhu.

”Liu Baozhu, you shameless woman, why don’t you just die? You’re so sleazy, crawling into my son’s bed in the middle of the night.”

”I don’t want a woman with loose morals to be my daughter-in-law. I’m telling you, even if my son slept with you, it means nothing. Don’t think you can marry my son—I won’t allow it.”

”Pah! God knows how many men you’ve been with, and you still want to marry my son? Pah...”

With slapping and clawing, within moments the once snow-white skin was covered with bruises and marks. The onlookers, rather than intervening, were further egged on by women who angrily urged, ”Er Lai’s mother, such shameless women need to be taught a lesson. Otherwise, she’ll crawl into Er Laizi’s bed again tonight.”

”Oh, Er Laizi’s really got something, doesn’t he? Though Liu Baozhu’s trashy, at least she’s a high school graduate. Er Lai’s mother, why not just let your son marry her? Having a high school graduate daughter-in-law will make you proud.”

Er Lai’s mother: ”Proud my foot! With such a shameless thing, if she marries into my family, who knows how many green hats (symbolizing infidelity) she’ll give my Er Laizi. The children might not even be his!” Er Lai’s mother sneered.

She did want a daughter-in-law for free, but she didn’t want a lazy, greedy, and useless vixen—knowledgeable though she might be.

Liu Baozhu, she would never let her son marry.

Let whoever wants take her.

Er Lai’s mother didn’t want her, but Er Laizi did.

A perpetual bachelor finally had a taste, and he didn’t care who the woman was, as long as he could hold his wife and sleep every day thereafter.

Besides, there was blood on the bed. Liu Baozhu was indeed a virgin.

Er Laizi’s mother didn’t know, but Er Laizi did. He was Liu Baozhu’s first man.

Er Laizi hurriedly put on his clothes, ran out to rescue his newly-minted wife from his mother’s clutches, ”Mom, stop hitting. Since she’s with me, she’s my wife. In the future, I’ll have someone to warm my bed. Mom, please have pity on your son and agree to our marriage.”

Er Laizi whispered something into his mother’s ear, and she, initially resolute in her refusal, agreed.

That day, Liu Baozhu moved into Er Laizi’s house.

Er Laizi organized two tables of food, inviting some village officials and family to a meal. With that, the two were considered to have held a wedding, and became a legitimate couple.

Liu Baozhu thought Er Laizi, who adored and cherished her, would be submissive and accommodating after marriage. But to her surprise, the day after their wedding, before dawn, Er Laizi’s mother dragged her out to fetch water, cook, and do laundry.

Er Laizi didn’t say a word.

He turned over and continued sleeping.

Liu Baozhu took two slaps from Er Laizi’s mother, forcing her to work. Wanting to resist, Liu Baozhu cried, but she was no match for Er Laizi’s mother who had worked in the fields for years.

Pinned to the ground and beaten by her mother-in-law, Liu Baozhu obediently went to do her chores.

After that, under Er Laizi’s mother’s hand, Liu Baozhu lived a life filled with suffering. Moreover, because she didn’t get pregnant after marriage, Er Laizi’s mother tormented her even more ruthlessly.

All day long, it was either beatings or scoldings. If Er Laizi’s mother didn’t beat or scold her for a day, she’d feel life was off track.
