Lie Fan’s Accounting method also became a big hit with everyone, and they praised Lie Fan for his ingenuity in creating such a method that could revolutionize the economic sector and other sectors that have numbers as their base structure of operation, and since everyone’s reaction was very positive Lie Fan then declared that their focus this year will be with four of these inventions.

Everyone cupped their hand receiving Lie Fan’s order, agreeing with Lie Fan that their focus should be on four of these inventions, even though it would need a long process but if they managed to do it right it could massively increase Lie Fan’s power and chances in these political game.

At this time, Xun You tells Lie Fan that the crafters, alchemists, and blacksmiths managed to create the glass that Lie Fan introduced to them some time ago and that it requires his attention to see the result.

Hearing this Lie Fan clapped his hand in happiness and told Xun You that he would love to see it, but because he had just returned to Xiapi he would leave for their secret location in the near time.

Lie Fan then asked Xun You if they created it according to the techniques and if the result was as described in the schematics, Xun You answered Lie Fan saying that everything was made according to the schematics and the result was more or less the same as what was described.

Nodding his head, Lie Fan orders Xun You to let the crafters, alchemists, and blacksmiths create more of this glass according to the schematics for now, and he will come to visit the secret location as soon as he can.

He also ordered for the telescope to be created next, where the glass needed to be made in a certain way to be in line with its function in the telescope, and since they had managed to create the body of the telescope previously he hoped that the telescope prototype will be made as soon as possible.

Because there are three large scale inventions that need to be studied by them this year, causing their workload to increase massively, and if they don’t finish the telescope project then their burden will be massive this year.

Xun You cupped his hand toward Lie Fan receiving Lie Fan’s order, and then next Lie Fan asked about the current domestic situation in his domain and the progress of Jiangxia Commandery and You Province integration.

For the domestic situation, Chen Gui and Xun You informed Lie Fan that everything was going well, and the people were happy and content. Next, it was Mi Zhu who stepped forward, reporting to Lie Fan that their economy was going well and that their expenses were below their income by around 30%.

So they can still find the four big projects that will be undergoing in the future, lastly, the merchants were content and happy with the current situation of the market under Lie Fan’s control, so he expects more merchants will come from other provinces to trade.

Mi Zhu’s report conclude the domestic situation of Lie Fan’s domain, and then continued by Chen Gong and Liu Ye who both stepped forward, Chen Gong first informed Lie Fan of the progress of their integration in Jiangxia. Everything was going well in Jiangxia, with Huang Zu’s joining their side the process was much faster.

The Baihu Army and the Qinglong Army were on their way back to their respective headquarters after helping the Xuanwu Army in pacifying Jiangxia Commandery.

The Xuanwu Army stayed at Jiangxia guarding it while Huang Zu regrouped his army, and there was a prisoner named Li Yan who was captured by Dian Wei, and Zhang Chao was brought by Huang Zhong to be sent to Xiapi.

After Chen Gong finished, next it was Liu Ye who informed Lie Fan that the progress of their integration of You Province was going smoothly albeit at a slow pace, to keep it hidden from the prying eyes of other warlords, especially Yuan Shao.

Also, Gongsun Gong currently wasn’t present in You Province and left his confidant in charge as he led his army and joined Zhang Liao and Gao Shun who led half of the Qilin Army to combat the Goguryeos, which became one of the reasons that slowed their integration process.

Lie Fan nodded his head after receiving the report of the current situation of his domestic situation and the integration process of 2 newly conquered domains.

Also, his interest was piqued by the prisoner that Huang Zhong brought for him, which was Li Yan who played a big role in Liu Bei’s Shu Han dynasty in the original timeline.

Since he had received all of the information he needed, Lie Fan dismissed the meeting and told everyone to return to their duty, as for the three deans of Xiapi Academy he asked them to stay as he wanted to discuss the incorporation of the accounting method to o the curriculum in the future.

While in Xiapi Lie Fan was conducting business as usual the moment he returned back to his seat of power, at the Southeast border of You Province Zhang Liao and Gao Shun were leading 100,000 of the Qilin Army, following Gongsun Gong who leads 100,000 of his men.

Following Lie Fan’s conquering of the You Province and Gongsun Clan submission, the Gongsun Clan was left with 200,000 men which was smaller compared to their previous Army around 450,000 men.

They had such a large army previously due to their situation where they needed to guard 3 fronts, one in the north, one in the west, and the last one in the east which already consumed around 200,000 of their men.

200,000 was then assigned to the east to subjugate more land from the Goguryeos and the remaining 50,000 was used to patrol the You Province, especially around their Capital Liaodong.

Now with just around 45% of their army, Zhang Liao’s 100,000 men from the Qilin Army was a heaven sent for Gongsun Gong who wanted to regain the land that was taken back by the Goguryeos.

Gongsun Gong: ”General Zhang and General Gao, thank you for reinforcing my army to retake the land taken by the Goguryeos and repel them back to their land.”

Zhang Liao: ”Master Gongsun, this is the third time you have thanked the two of us and I have told you that it was our duty and that we were ordered by My Lord to reinforce you and your army.”

Gongsun Gong: ”Haha, yes that’s true but I just can’t thank the two of you enough for the help, even though it was under My Lord’s order if the two of you object to it I’m sure that My Lord will agree and replace the two of you with someone else.”

Gao Shun: ”Don’t worry Master Gongsun, this is already our duty to follow My Lord’s command battle on the border gave us some nostalgic memories that we wanted to relive, repelling the aliens from our land and even taking some of their lands.”

Zhang Liao: ”That’s right! I still remember in the past when we were still in the service of Lord Lu Bu, I don’t know how many Xiongnu men I slain, repelling their attack after attack but never taking their land and now we could have the chance to expand outside, of course, we wanted to partake in such historical moment.”

Gongsun Gong: ”Yes, this is a historical moment that I’m sure will be relived in the future by our descendants! My Father in the past has managed to expand his domain to our current level, I’m sure that My Lord will lead us to surpass my Father and even conquer the Goguryeos in the future!”

Gongsun Gong’s words caused both Zhang Liao and Gao Shun’s spirits to burn brightly, the vision of Lie Fan expanding their domain outward in the future after quelling the chaos and declaring himself Emperor was the dream they hoped to see in the future.

While they were conversing, they passed through the border of You Province and entered the Goguryeo’s land that was previously under the Gongsuj Clan control but managed to be retaken by the Goguryeos.

It wasn’t long before they encountered the Goguryeo’s Army, and Gao Shun seeing the size estimated at around 50,000 men was heading toward their direction Gao Shun concluded that there was more coming, seeing as they dared to head toward an enemy army that far outnumbered them.

Zhang Liao, Gao Shun, and Gongsun Gong began to direct their Army to commence their formation, and Gao Shun also directed some to build fortifications and encampments as he had predicted more would come, and it was best for them to be prepared.

Zhang Liao as the highest commanding general beside Gongsun Gong led the army from the front, with the Bingzhou Wolf Cavalry behind him.

They don’t wait long before the Goguryeos finally arrive several hundred meters from their location, and while they enter their attacking formation, Zhang Liao and Gongsun Gong see a group of riders approaching their location.

Zhang Liao leads a small group of the Bingzhou Wolf Cavalry and together with Gongsun Gong meets up with the group of riders from Goguryeo to see why they want.

When they meet, they see a man in their thirties leading the group who has begun to speak a language Zhang Liao doesn’t understand, Gongsun Gong beside Zhang Liao understands them because he has learned the Goguryeos language.

They exchanged some words and it became heated with every word exchanged between them, Zhang Liao asked Gongsun Gong what happened that caused the Goguryeo man to be angry.

Gongsun Gong explained to Zhang Liao that the Goguryeo man told us to return back the our land and that they swore wouldn’t invade as revenge, but he refused and that’s why the man was angry.

Hearing this Zhang Liao was surprised by the brazen Goguryeo man, telling them to return back to their land and even promises if they did so wouldn’t invade them, which didn’t even make sense because, from the looks of it, they couldn’t muster an army big enough to take on the entirety of China.

Zhang Liao began to grow irritated with the Goguryeo man who was shouting toward them and in the surprised eyes of Gongsun Gong and the rest of the Goguryeos fright, Zhang Liao used his glaive to strike the man down cutting his head off which stopped him from talking immediately, and when the other Goguryoes woke up from other fright they shouted down words to Zhang Liao and hastily retreat back to their army.
