Zhang Ji feeling was conflicted, but thinking of the continuity of his clan and also his master Tong Yuan’s legacy, he finally decided to surrender and announced his decision, Zhang Xiu and his group rejoiced while Hu Che’er and his group were disappointed, but Zhang Ji doesn’t care about this as he appointed Zhang Xiu and Hu Che’er to work together and kill Yang Feng the condition requested by Cao Cao to him for him to have autonomous control over Hongnong.

Zhang Ji, with a firm resolve, concluded the meeting, instructing Zhang Xiu and Hu Che’er to work together and eliminate Yang Feng, fulfilling the condition set by Cao Cao for autonomous control over Hongnong.

Zhang Xiu and Hu Che’er, accepted his orders without hesitation even though Hu Che’er was disappointed with Zhang Ji’s decision. They recognized the gravity of the situation and the importance of preserving Zhang Ji’s legacy, so they united under Zhang Ji’s command.

As the assembly dispersed, Zhang Xiu and Hu Che’er immediately set about preparing their mem for the impending mission. The air in their military camp crackled with a mix of tension and determination as their men readied themselves for the crucial task they have just received from Zhang Xiu and Hu Che’er.

Zhang Ji, knowing the weight of his decision, began the preparations for surrendering to Cao Cao. His wife Lady Zou hearing that Zhang Ji will surrender to Cao Cao, tried to give him moral support to keep fighting against Cao Cao but Zhang Ji denied it and said that his decision was final.

On Cao Cao’s side, his spy who managed to infiltrate Hongnong return with the news of Zhang Ji’s decision, causing Cao Cao to laugh out loud because this means not only will he receive Hongnong, but also Zhang Ju’s soldiers and his retainer.

He will of course grant the promised autonomous control over Hongnong and Zhang Ji’s army to Zhang Ji, as he needs defence line on the west against Li Jue, Zhang Yang, and Zhang Yan.

The inclusion of Hongnong to his domain also allow Luoyang to finally receive much needed horses and goods from the west whom passed through Hongnong, because they halted the merchant caravans and wagons from passing through Hangu Pass for security reasons.

Now with Hongnong as his frontier on the west side of his domain, the horses and goods could be traded there and then send to Luoyang, to rebuild it’s prosperity and not having it’s economy being subsidized by Cao Cao’s treasury much longer.

So both Cao Cao and Zhang Ji begun their preparation with the former to usurp Yang Feng’s Army after he died, and Zhang Ji preparing his men and also a banquet to welcome Cao Cao inside Hongnong.

All of these movements want unknown by the oblivious Yang Feng, who was preparing his men alongside Xu Huang on his side, he wanted to had the highest contribution and ask for Cao Cao to appoint him as the Governor of Hongnong.

Yang Feng: ”Gongming I want for you to unleash all of your might today, if we managed to have the biggest contribution in the fall of Hongnong, I can request for the Governorship of Hongnong which will expand our power to save Your Majesty!”

Xu Huang: ”Yes General! But I think Your Majesty doesn’t need any help General, because Lord Cao Cao have given him protection in Xuchang and supported all the edicts that come out from Xuchang.”

Yang Feng: ”Gongming this is your shortcoming! You are to simple minded and to self disciplined causing yo to lack friends and social interactions, which was needed for you to see the political intrigue that was happening in Xuchang!”

Xu Huang: ”I’m not interested in the political struggle General, I just say what I see which was Lord Cao Cao was the only one who cared for Your Mahesty as he comes to save him, not even Lie Fan who in the past known for his loyalty to come and help Your Majesty when he was chased by Li Jue and Guo Si!”

Yang Feng: ”Hah.. It’s because Lie Fan was never loyal to the Han Dynasty in the first place, maybe when he was young and fighting against the Yellow Turbans yes, but either the power or reality of the Han Dynasty that caused him to not loyal to the Han Dynaaty anymore.”

Xu Huang who wanted to reply Yang Feng’s word suddenly was stopped due to the two of them hearing the War drum from Zhang Ji’s side was sounded, due to them being placed as the Vanguard Yang Feng and Xu Huang immediately ordered their men to eter attacking formation.

Yang Feng and Xu Huang was further surprised as they saw that Zhang Ji and Zhang Yang’s Army are leaving Hongnong and began to enter their formation, which was ridiculous in their opinion because they have a much better chance at winning if they does a siege battle.

Cao Cao, Xi Zhicai, and Jia Kui also saw what happened from their War Tent, the three of the didn’t expect that Zhang Ji choose the most direct way to kill Yang Feng which was an open field battle, as he have hunger chance to kill Yang Feng in it than a siege battle.

Cao Coa ordered for the war drum to be sounded, but relat a secret order to let Yang Feng as the Vanguard to head out first and his army slowly flowed his lead, before they receive the sound of surrender from Zhang Ji, Cao Cao ordered for his men to reduce contact with Zhang Ju’s men as much as possible.

Cao Cao’s general who received Cao Cao’s order was confused, but since it was Cao Cao’s request they followed it without at question whatsoever, and so the first contact of the battle was between Zhang Ji’s men and Yang Feng’s men, with Cao Cao’s men followed slowly from behind of Yang Feng’s men.

Yang Feng and Xu Huang was fighting side by side at the frontline, leading their men from the front personally assisting each other. Yang Feng was confused as to why Cao Cao’s men haven’t arrived yet, but he soon forgot about that thought as he was fighting left and right.

At this time, Zhang Xiu and Hu Che’er alongside Zuo Ling and Zhang Quan which was two of Zhang Ji’s best generals after the two of them, suddenly appeared together in front of Yang Feng and Xu Huang.

Seeing these four men, Yang Feng and Xu Huang knew that these four wasn’t an easy opponent especially Zhang Xiu and Hu Che’er who let out a strong aura stronger than the other two.

Before Yang Feng could even speak, Zuo Ling and Zhang Quan both attacked Yang Feng while Zhang Xiu and Hu Che’er attacked Xu Huang, splitting the two them right at that time and they was brought to an opposite direction.

Xu Huang seeing this thinks that he was tried to be cornered and then killed, so he was fighting with all of his might trying to save himself and also Yang Feng who was brought to other direction.

Xu Huang full might was powerful but the combined might of Zhang Xiu and Hu Che’er managed to suppress it and allow them to have a 2 on 1 duel with neither side have the advantage.

Xu Huang began to be restless seeing as he was blocked by both Zhang Xiu and Hu Che’er causing him to be angered more and more with each time passed by as he can’t support Yang Feng.

His power began to slowly break through his bottleneck, allowing him to enter a new realm of power which slowly managed to pushed back Zhang Xiu and Hu Che’er at the same time.

Zhang Xiu and Hu Che’er was sweating profusely while defending themselves from Xu Huang’s counterattack, their plan was to block Xu Huang a strong variable away from Yang Feng, while Zuo Ling and Zhang Quan will kill Yang Feng and brought his head.

It was at this time that suddenly a liud shout can be heard by Zhang Xiu, Hu Che’er, and Xu Huang which was telling for Zhang Ji’s men to stand down and soon a war drum sound was heard, but it was a universal command telling an army to stand down.

Xu Huang was confused while both Zhang Xiu and Hu Che’er was ecstatic that their plan have worked, when Zhang Ji’s army finally stand down the three of them saw Zhang Ji riding his horse bringing three heads alongside him.

Xu Huang who saw one of the head was shocked and soon engulfed by anger, he rushed toward Zhang Ji riding his horse as fast as possible, but before he could reached Zhag Ji, he was managed to be stopped by Zhang Xiu and Hu Che’er.

This caused the three of them to have a duel once again, but at his time Cao Cao alongside his advisors and generals arrived at the battlefield, seeing the 2 on 1 duel with Xu Huang showing that he was winning the power balance, Cao Cao send out Xu Chu to help stop Xu Huang.

With Xi Chu’s entered the mix, Xu Huang was soon managed to be stopped and without a byword Xu Chu brought Xu Huang toward Cao Cao and Zhang Ji who now come face to face, having a conversation.

Xu Huang: ”Lord Cao Cao! The man in front of you needed to be killed to change my brother Yang Feng! If you grant me this wish, I’m willing to serve yo for the rest of my life!”

Zhang Ji: ”Silence you fool of a man, I’m not the one who killed your Brother but it was these two men who’s head I brougj alongside me, I wanted to surrender to Lord Cao Cao after several days of bate, but these two men relay a false order and caused an field battle t be staged causing the death of not just your brother, but my men and your brother’s men!”

Xu Huang: ”Nonsense! Impossible! Lord Cao Cao don’t believe his lies!”

Zhang Ji: ”I think you knew yourself the skill of your so called brother, can he takes on two younger generals who are more powerful than him by himself hmm? From the looks of your eye, I think you have known the answer.”

Cao Cao: ”General Xu Huang I’m sorry for the death of your Brother Yang Feng, he was a good man and a good warrior but not only just that but a loyal man to Your Majesty! Don’t worry, I will give him a proper burial and also execute the clans of these two men who cause the death of your brother.”

Xu Huang who heard what Cao Cao said, gets down to his knees letting his tears out while thanking Cao Cao and also vowed that he will serve Cao Cao for the rest of his life alongside the thousands of brother around him, not knowing that Cao Cao was happy in his heart while Zhang Ji was relieved that the scheme he prepared himself alone and no one else knew about it worked like a charm, and survived from potential execution that suddenly appeared due to Xu Huang..
