That means his army was scattered which was a perfect time for them to send their army there with the help of the Navy, and the Oriole would stand between the border of Gongsun Du and Yuan Shao to strike down any messengers or spies to keep what happened unknown for as long as they could, and in the Sea the navy also stand alert for the same reason as the Oriole while bringing their army to Liaodong, and when everyone hear this plan they were shocked.

Lie Fan was surprised by Xun You’s plan because it was a landing attack, something that was never seen before in this era of China’s history, he loved the plan that Xun You just explained and praised him for creating such a masterpiece in a short time.

Xun You cupped his hand and bowed toward Lie Fan while saying that he is not worthy of such praise, this is just a crude plan that he thought about and it still needs perfection with the help from the others.

Jia Xu, Chen Qun, Liu Ye, and Chen Gong heard this and just smiled at Xun You because among them the best at Military Strategies are him, then the second was Jia Xu, and the third was Chen Gong.

At this time Jia Xu then asked Lie Fan, since they would make a new plan for the North and in this case Gongsun Du, what will they do with the plan to go against Liu Biao as he was their target originally.

Hearing this Lie Fan told them that they would proceed with the plan against Liu Biao, especially since the Oriole in Xuchang and Beihai reported that Liu Bei was losing the intrigue battle against Cao Cao, which means any day now he would head toward Liu Biao.

He thinks that they really need Liu Biao’s plan right now to use as a distraction against other forces, similar to the plan they implemented against Cao Cao and Liu Bei to usurp some counties in Qing Province while also taking control of Lu Bu’s army in the process.

All of Lie Fan’s advisors agreed with what Lie Fan said, but Jia Xu then raised a very important point which was will the other forces, especially Cao Cao who had fallen to their past trick, would fall into the same hole twice since he had experienced it.

This point caused everyone in the room including Lie Fan to think about this more since what Jia Xu just said made sense, especially with Cao Cao’s intelligence alongside the advisors he had beside him.

At this time Chen Gong proposed a reverse psychology plan, which showed everyone that we wanted to attack the North which was Gongsun Du, but actually, we would proceed with it and attack Liu Biao first before Gongsun Du, and at that time no one will expect their attack to Gongsun Du.

Chen Gong’s plan immediately received support from Xun You and Jia Xu, to which Chen Qun and Liu Ye also gave their support since after all of them thought about it, this plan had some merit and would surely trick everyone in the land.

Lie Fan was also satisfied with this plan, he thought that by doing reverse psychology like Zhuge Liang’s empty fort plan against Sima Yi, he was sure that this plan would make a mark on history.

Due to that and also the strategic significance this plan has, Lie Fan chose Chen Gong’s plan and asked if anyone objected to this or had a much better plan, to which Jia Xu, Xun You, Chen Qun, and Liu Ye gave their agreement to use this plan.

With that, the plan for the North has been decided, Lie Fan ordered Chen Gong and Xun You to work together in making this plan as foolproof as possible and, of course also work together with the Oriole under Jia Xu.

So a month passed from Lie Fan’s meeting with his main advisors, and true to the information he received from the Orioles, Beihai Liu Bei’s position was in a critical conjecture because he was losing his battle with Cao Cao.

Liu Bei convened a meeting with all of his retainers, and it was held at the main hall of Beihai’s Governor Castle, Liu Bei entered the hall flanked by his two main advisors Ju Shou and Wang Xiu.

Liu Bei took his seat and the meeting began with Liu Bei asking all of his detainees if they had any plan or ideas to push Cao Cao back and let them retake Qing Province fully from the grasp of Cao Cao.

Wang Xiu: ”My Lord I apologize but I don’t have any plan or ideas I can give anymore, every plan or idea we use was easily seen through by Cao Cao and countered perfectly, my talent and skill are no match for the advisors that aided Cao Cao.”

Liu Bei: ”It’s okay Shuzhi I understand, you have done your best all this time, is there anyone else? Ju Shou? Han Yi?”

Ju Shou: ”My Lord just like Wang Xiu has just said, all of our moves are easily seen through by Cao Cao, but I have one plan that I knew they will never expect we would do.”

Liu Bei: ”Oh? What is it, Ju Shou? As long as it is not involved in sacrificing anyone, I think we can do it.”

Ju Shou: ”We leave Qing Province entirely My Lord, we take all of its supplies and resources alongside us, but before that, we will announce to the people of Qing Province that we will leave due to Cao Cao and spread a bad reputation for Cao Cao to destabilize Qing Province.”

Han Yin: ”Master Ju Shou I’m sorry to interrupt, it’s not that I mean anything but isn’t what My Lord wants to defend Qing Province? Why would we abandon it?”

Ju Shou: ”Master Han Yin and My Lord, I’m sorry but there’s no way for us to win this battle through honorable means because that’s what got us here in the first place, so the only way is to do what I just said and bring all those resources and take shelter in Liu Biao.”

After Ju Shou finishes what he wants to say, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei both disagree with Ju Shou’s statement and even show signs of making things turn physical, especially Zhang Fei who was known to be a hot head.

Liu Bei seeing this immediately scolded his two younger sworn brothers and told them to behave, even though inside his heart he was satisfied by what his two younger sworn brothers did, he knew that he still needed Ju Shou as he was the brightest advisor he had.

After scolding Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, he turned toward Ju Shou and asked if there was no other way because what he cared about were the people of Qing Province, and if he took these supplies and resources how would they live their lives without it.

Liu Bei’s words immediately touched all of his retainers including Ju Shou, not realizing that it was all an act, if there was an Oscar for best acting in this era, Liu Bei would definitely receive that award every year.

Ju Shou replied to Liu Bei’s question and told him that there’s no other way, he also cares about the people at the end of the day they are fighting in a war, and fighting honorable doesn’t give them anything, something he learned from serving Han Fu to now serving Liu Bei and fighting Cao Cao.

Liu Vei seeing how serious Ju Shou’s words and how determined they were, Liu Bei has a sigh making everyone think that he was reluctant to leave the people of Qing Province while actually he lamented that he would be landless once again and take shelter to Liu Biao.

After Silence filled the hall for some time, Liu Be finally stood up and approved of Ju Shou’s plan, telling all of his retainers to follow what Ju Shou instructed and leave some supplies and resources for the People of Qing Province so they would not starve at least.

Ju Shou wanted to object at first but decided not to once again believing that he hadn’t chosen the wrong lord, so under Ju Shou’s leadership Liu Bei’s retainers did what Ju Shou had planned in an orderly manner, and importantly unknown to Cao Cao eyes.

Even though two counties were taken by Lie Fan and Qing Province was the smallest province among the others, it was still a big land and the preparation needed some time to be done so a month passed by.

In the month that passed by, all the forces were also doing their own thing including Lie Fan who was preparing for Xiapi’s expansion and also managed to set sail for Taiwan’s second Expedition safely.

But unlike Lie Fan whose busyness was done in a good mood, Liu Bei and his retainers did the plan that had been decided under Ju Shou’s leadership in a somber mood, and Ju Shou who saw this always urged them to move faster, as he can’t hold Cao Cao any longer now.

So when the preparation was finished and everything was ready, Ju Shou began to spread and vilify Cao Cao’s reputation causing an uproar among the commoners, and when the rumors spread reached the climax, Ju Shou ordered them to move and head toward Liu Biao.

So Qing Province’s commoners suddenly saw Liu Bei’s army leaving the towns of Qing Province, alongside their supplies and resources that they thought were Liu Bei’s own, and leave Qing Province.

Before leaving, they all leave the same message and it contains words saying Liu Bei can’t take care of the people of Qing Province anymore due to Cao Cao, and that he has to reluctantly leave seeking shelter with Liu Biao in the south because he has lost his battle against Cao Cao.

The moment this message was spread across all towns of Qing Province especially Beihai, it caused an uproar because they felt that they lived peacefully and stomachs filled every day, and now to be changed under Cao Cao whose name has been verified unbeknown to them, they don’t want that to happen.

When this news reached Cao Cao’s ear, Cao Cao was so angered by the rumors that had been spread about him, and what Liu Bei had done to destabilize his control over Qung Province that he threw his favorite scrolls and stationery to the ground, he ordered for his army to be raised and proceed to chase Liu Bei but managed to be calmed down by his advisors, and all this movement was known by Lie Fan since day one.
