Lie Fan was slowly being pushed back but he didn’t panic as he knew that Xu Chu was pure muscle and no skill, so he only lost in terms of strength but could still defeat Xu Chu if he managed to lure him into a trap, by that this time Cao Cao and Liu Bei alongside their advisors and generals arrived at the location, where Cao Cao ordered for Xu Chu to stop, and Xu Chu hearing the order of his Lord immediately stopped attacking Lie Fan.

Xu Chu retract his rod hammer that was in touch with Lie Fan’s Halberd, after giving Lie Fan a nod of acknowledgment Xu Chu then turns around and walks toward Cao Cao and stands behind him to his left.

Taishi Ci, Ji Ling, Xu Rong, and Lie Fan’s bodyguards on the other hand don’t lower their guards but increase their guards as Cao Cao and Liu Bei bring almost all of his generals except for Yu Jin and Sun Guan who was in Lean County subjugating it.

Cao Cao: ”Brother Lie Fan it’s great to see you again! The last time we saw each other was when we took down the traitor Yuan Shu! I didn’t expect that we would meet once again not as allies but as opposing sides!”

Lie Fan: ”Haha Brother Mengde we are still allies and friends, it’s just the side we support now is different that’s all! Since Lu Bu has requested me to take care of his family with such emotion I was touched and accepted his request, and the first thing I will do to honor that is by bringing his family his body intact.”

Liu Bei: ”Brother Lie Fan is truly a kind and honorable person, even though Lu Bu was such a despicable and greedy man you still accepted his request, I was also touched by the emotion in Lu Bu’s words but at the end of the day he is still a criminal and the evidence needed to be presented before the Imperial Court.”

Lie Fan: ”Brother Xuande while I understand the need for evidence, I don’t think we need to desecrate a dead body to be presented to Your Majesty as it could bring bad luck to Your Majesty, I think a witness of more than 400,000 men is more than enough as evidence.”

Cao Cao: ”Brother Lie Fan is jesting, of course since you want to preserve Lu Bu’s body then you can bring it back to his family, I’m sure Your Majesty can understand and will pardon Lu Bu’s body considering the meritorious service he has done in the border of the Empire in the past.”

Liu Bei: ”But Brother Mengde you can just decide what The Emperor wants! It’s blasphemy to deci-”

Cao Cao raised his hand in front of Liu Bei to stop him from talking any further, he then approached Liu Bei and whispered how this is more important than just deciding for The Emperor.

If he wanted to fight against Lie Fan then Liu Bei could fight Lie Fan alone, while he would take his army and retreat to Beihai as his army was exhausted and unprepared to face Lie Fan’s well rested and prepared army.

Liu Bei who heard what Cao Cao said had his face changed greatly and Guo Jia, Xi Zhicai, and Ju Shou noticed it immediately, of course, Lie Fan and his advisor also noticed the changes in Liu Bei’s expression.

Liu Bei who was put on the spot by Cao Cao could only stay down and give his approval for what Cao Cao and Lie Fan had agreed upon, hearing that an agreement had been made Lie Fan’s expression changed from a serious one to a bright one.

Since his first purpose was achieved, Lie Fan asked Cao Cao and Liu Bei to return to Beihai alongside their army to wait for him there as he had something he wanted to discussing something it the two of them, of course with their advisors present.

Cao Cao and Liu Bei alongside their advisors who heard this were surprised, as they didn’t expect that Lie Fan still had something he wanted to talk about with the two of them.

Cao Cao and Liu Bei gave a word of acknowledgment to Lie Fan word, and after receiving agreement from their advisors Cao Cao and Liu Bei together ordered their army to retreat to Beihai.

Their generals who heard the order acknowledged the order, Cao Cao and Liu Bei were escorted by their generals and advisors retreated alongside their army back to Beihai, Lu Bu’s army who saw the retreat of Cao Cao and Liu Bei’s army was confused and surprised by the sudden action.

Zhang Liao who was the only general in the rear of Lu Bu’s army and the nearest to Lie Fan’s army location, wanted to head toward Lie Fan but was afraid to be attacked or captured by Lie Fan and his army, especially when Lu Lingqi was with him.

At this time Lu Lingqi who was on his back suddenly moved and let out a small voice, Zhang Liao who heard this immediately got down from his horse and held then put Lu Lingqi down on the ground.

Lu Lingqi who felt the sudden changes in her position finally fully awake, her eyes slowly opened, and seeing Zhang Liao’s concerned face she was confused at first but then she remembered what happened before she suddenly blacked out.

Lu Lingqi asked for the whereabouts of her Father frantically to Zhang Liao, who could only hold his head down and close his eyes tightly, seeing Zhang Liao’s reaction Lu Lingqi immediately felt scared by his reaction.

At this time all of Lu Bu’s generals arrived at the location of Zhang Liao and Lu Lingqi, and seeing that the two of them were safe and sound they heaved a sigh of relief.

Lu Lingqi doesn’t care or maybe even notice the arrival of the rest of Lu Bu’s generals, she is only focused on Zhang Liao and keeps asking him where Lu Bu is and for Zhang Liao to take her to him.

Gao Shun, Hou Cheng, Song Xian, and Wei Xu were the longest to serve Lu Bu after Zhang Liao, seeing that Lu Lingqi doesn’t know that her father has already died, they also react like Zhang Liao doesn’t know how to explain it to her.

Cheng Lian, Hao Meng, and Cao Xing couldn’t be too focused on the scene in front of them as they were commanding the entirety of Lu Bu’s Army to cover their location to protect them from further skirmishes or attacks.

While all of these are happening, the sound of shock and panic ensues in front of Lu Bu’s Army’s current formation, when the trio of Cheng Lan, Hao Meng, and Cao Xing see in that direction they see that a group of people is approaching their location.

Since Lu Bu was dead, he didn’t appoint his successor even though it should have been Lu Lingqi but due to the custom of this era, a daughter can’t succeed a household or family name of their birth family since they will marry into another family.

Chen Gong the second in command of Lu Bu’s army also wasn’t present, the three of them could only report this to Zhang Liao and Lu Lingqi.

Hearing this Lu Lingqi who had shed some tears at some point wiped them from her face, and told Zhang Liao alongside the others to follow her lead and meet with this group of representatives from Lie Fan.

When Lu Lingqi and her party arrived in front of their army, they saw that the group approaching them was led by Lie Fan himself alongside Ji Ling, Xu Rong, Lie Fan’s bodyguard, and one unknown general with an aura that could match Zhang Liao himself.

Lu Lingqi seeing Lie Fan again felt her heart beat once again, as the memory of the last began to blossom again but soon she shook her head to wipe it from her mind and it was at this time she saw a stretcher bringing a body amongst Lie Fan’s group.

Lie Fan at this time also saw Lu Lingqi, he didn’t expect that the young lady he met the last would also grow into such a beautiful woman and even have a fierce aura, unlike his wives that immediately attracted him, like a rose full of thorns.

Lie Fan reaching Lu Lingqi’s location got down from his horse, where his bodyguards immediately followed suit and stood to guard him at his side, he then approached Lu Lingqi’s spot unarmed.

Lie Fan: ”Young Lady Lu we meet again, I have hoped that we meet under much better circumstances, not this sad and depressing circumstances.”

Lu Lingqi: ”Humph! Stinky Lie Fan I for one don’t want to meet you ever again, since the circumstances forced us to meet then what I could do, now then where is My Father? Did you manage to save him from Cao Cao and Liu Bei’s generals?!”

Lie Fan: ”Young Lady Lu you don’t know?”

Lu Lingqi: ”Huh? Don’t know about what?! Did something happen to My Father?! I tell you Lie Fan if you dared to touch a single hair in my father’s body I would cut your manhood myself!”

Zhang Liao: ”Wait, Young Lady! I’m sorry Lord Lie Fan but when that event transpired the Young Lady was knocked out cold.”

Li Lingqi: ”What? What happened when I was knocked out Uncle Wenyuan?! Did something bad happen to My Father?!”

Lie Fan: ”Hah... I see, then since I know all of you don’t know how to tell the Young lady Lu I will be the one who tells her, Young Lady Lu I’m sorry to be the one who informed you of this but your Father Lu Bu have just passed away in a fuel against Xu Chu, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei... I’m sorry for your loss...”

Lu Lingqi who heard this felt like lightning struck her mind, she thought that she heard it wrong and told Lie Fan to repeat what he had just said, Lie Fan who heard this with a gentle and soothing voice repeated what he had just said to her.

Lu Lingqi who hears that she doesn’t hear it wrong, tears begin to flow down from her eyes like a waterfall and she feels like she can’t breathe, gasping while letting out mournful cries not believing that the strong and tall figure she always looks up to was gone.

Lie Fan at this time raises his hand and with a signal orders his soldier to bring the stretcher forward and present Lu Bu’s dead body intact alongside his halberd and his steed the Red Hare.

Seeing the body of their Lord and her Father, Lu Lingqi alongside Lu Bu’s general immediately surrounds the stretcher and sees the smile on Lu Bu’s face like he is finally at peace, Lu Lingqi began to cry out loudly while the rest of Lu Bu’s general was also in tears especially Zhang Liao and Gao Shun, Lu Lingqi who feels like her whole world have collapsed upon her after touching Lu Bu’s hand then fainted causing panic among Lu Bu’s generals.
