When Lie Fan thinks about it, Sun Tzu’s evaluation of Cao Cao is not wrong because if Cal Cao truly controlled the entire north of China except for Gongsun Du’s land, he could support an army with size almost the same as him or even much bigger, so he needs to think of a plan that could change that, one that will not arouse Cao Cao’s suspicion of his movement to the north.

Lie Fan was thinking of some plan that he could execute while looking at the garden, not realizing that an hour passed by Mi Zhu approached Lie Fan from his back, seeing that his Lord was looking at the garden absent-minded, he called for him.

Lie Fan who was thinking about some sort of plan was woken up from his mind due to him hearing someone calling for him, he turned around and saw that it was Mi Zhu who called for him.

Seeing Mi Zhu, Lie Fan first gives his condolences on the passing of Mi Zhu’s Father, which Mi Zhu returned with a thank you and then said to Lie Fan that he had something he would like to ask him.

Lie Fan confused asked Mi Zhu what he would like to talk about, Mi Zhu received Lie Fan’s inquiry turned around, and called for Mi Fang who approached the two of them from the distance.

Mi Zhu then told Lie Fan that he would like to recommend his younger brother to enter Lie Fan’s service as a general, he said to Lie Fan how he was proficient in horse riding, archery, and sword combat.

Lie Fan was surprised by Mi Zhu’s sudden recommendation of his brother but thought that it was because of his Father’s request to take care of his family, and of course to reduce the chance of dispute between the two brothers around the inheritance of the Mi Clan.

Lie Fan used the eye of Erlang Shen while asking Mi Fang if this was his own intention or not, with excitement Mi Fang replied that this was his own idea and he asked his brother to help be recommended to Lie Fan.

Mi Fang’s stats were almost the same as his bodyguards, making him a very mediocre general, and since he was the Mi Fang who betrayed Guan Yu and caused his downfall, Lie Fan wanted to keep him close to him so that he could never do that thing in his timeline.

Hearing that it was Mi Fang’s own intention, Lie Fan nodded his head in agreement and told the two Mi Brothers that Mi Fang would be placed directly under him, becoming the leader of a new unit he would create which consisted of infantries.

Mi Zhu and Mi Fang were surprised and then overjoyed by what Lie Fan said, as they felt that Lie Fan was assigning Mi Fang to an important role, so the two of them thanked Lie Fan.

Lie Fan nodded his head and then told the two of them that they could take some time off to prepare for their Father’s funeral, after saying that Lie Fan said goodbye to the two of them, and before he left he told Mi Zhu to come to him if there’s anything he needs help with.

Mi Zhu and Mi Fang both escorted Lie Fan to the entrance of the Mi Clan residence, where they saw Lie Fan off riding his carriage at this time Mi Zhu turned to Mi Fang and told him that he needed to study more and train more to repay Lie Fan’s trust.

Mi Fang nodded his head promising that he would do just that to his brother, and then the two brothers entered the Mi Clan residence to take care of their Father’s funeral.

Lie Fan arrived at the Governor’s Castle and then called for Jia Xu, Xun You, Chen Qun, Liu Ye, and Chem Gong to meet him at his office through a servant who passed by and was ordered by Lie Fan to give his message to them.

While waiting for their arrival, Lie Fan takes out the vision map from his inventory and puts it across his table, from there he can see the movement of his army in his domain, and also of his enemies.

In the North, he could see that Yuan Shao now had around 300,000 to 400,000 men and he still assimilated Gongsun Zan’s army into his own, while Cao Cao had around 300,000 men and from the looks of it he would stay around that number for a while.

After knowing the number of soldiers the two people involved in his main quest, he then looks at the terrain of the Yellow River which separated Cao Cao and Yuan Shao geographically and acted as a natural barrier separating the two of them.

From there he could see several points that would become the main contested area of battle between Yuan Shao and Cao Cao in the future, especially the famous Baima and Yanjin, alongside Guandu.

He tries to see a weak point that he could exploit since he was completely separated from the north by land with Cao Cao standing between him and Yuan Shao, the plan he came up with in the past has been achieved but the appearance of a new quest disturbed it.,

While looking at the map and scrutinizing it, he doesn’t realize that Jia Xu, Xun You, Chen Qun, Liu Ye, and Chen Gong have arrived at his office and were welcomed by the sight of Lie Fan watching the map very seriously.

Jia Xu let out a low cough which immediately attracted Lie Fan’s attention and seeing that all of them had come, he told them to come in and that he had something he would like to discuss with the five of them.

Intrigue by what Lie Fan said, all of his advisors entered his office and took a seat on the stools that had been prepared, something that Lie Fan requested since he had realized that they would always have a long discussion at his office, so he prepared stools in his office for his advisors.

Lie Fan: ”Since everyone has taken their seat, all of you should have seen how I was scrutinizing the map, it was related to what I want to discuss with the five of you, which was concerning the Northern Provinces.”

Jia Xu: ”The Northern provinces My Lord? Do you mean Yuan Shao? Does My Lord want to make a move against him? I thought we had achieved the barrier plan of Cao Cao’s standing between us and Yuan Shao as a shield.”

Lie Fan: ”Yes Wenhe what you said is true, but I have a change of plans after seeing Brother Mengde before, I have a feeling that he will win his battle against Yuan Shao which will be bad for us.”

Xun You: ”My Lord how could you thought so? From the way I see it, Yuan Shao had much more land and soldiers under him than Cao Cao who split the Central Plains with us, and in terms of supplies Yuan Shao had much more than Cao Cao with the vast land he had.”

Chen Gong: ”If I may, I think what My Lord said is correct Master Jia Xu and Master Xun You, I have known Cao Mengde and Yuan Benchu much longer than everyone here, the two of them are almost the same but there’s a difference, the stronger Cao Mengde become the more cautious he becomes, while the stronger Yuan Benchu becomes the more conceited and arrogant he becomes.”

Chen Qun: ”So what Master Chen Gong trying to say is, in terms of personality as a Lord and highest military commander of their force, Yuan Shao lost completely against Cao Cao who had all the qualities a Lord should have.”

Chen Gong: ”That’s right, and combined with the number of talent Cao Cao had under him, compared to Yuan Shao’s talent they were vastly inferior to what Cao Cao had.”

Jia Xu: ”I see now what My Lord meant, My Lord saw that when the two of them battled each other Cao Cao would become the winner, and the cast domain under Yuan Shao would fall to Cao Cao’s hand which would make us in a very bad situation.”

Xun You: ”My Lord’s concerns are worthy to notice, since it was like that it means we have to prepare a plan for the north, and from the looks of it My Lord asked us all here to discuss this plan?”

Lie Fan nods his head hearing what Xun You said, he told them honestly that he had thought about a plan to come up with and nothing came to his mind, he asked all of them if they could come up with some sort of a plan, any kind of plan is fine they can discuss it together.

Jia Xu, Xun You, Chen Qun, Liu Ye, and Chen Gong began to rack their brains, trying to come up with sort of a plan while looking at the map before their eyes, and at this time Xun You eyes lit up.

Xun You stands up and begins to walk toward the map, where he then points to Changyang County, and says to everyone there that this county will become the main focus of their plan.

After hearing Xun You saying that, Jia Xu and Chen Gong’s eyes began to light up, they realized what Xun You was going to propose and true to their thoughts, Xun You continued to explain by saying that since they surely didn’t want Yuan Shao and Cao Cao caught up to their plan, they should focus on Gongsun Du.

He then pointed to Huai’An indicating the secret port they have there and then said the navy that docked there directed to Changyang County, and docked the ships there while they sent an envoy first, probing Gongsun Du and see if he will submit to them just like how he bowed down to Dong Zhuo.

Chen Qun at this time said to Xun You that the reason Gongsun Du bowed to Dong Zhuo was that he was made Administrator of Liaodong to expand the Han Dynasty border, with him now taking over the entirety of Liaoning and continued to expand Nort and North East.

Now that he had taken over the Liaoning, Chen Qun wasn’t sure that Gongsun Du would just submit to Lie Fan, it’s not that he didn’t believe in a lie Fan but with the power Gongsun Du had now, he wasn’t the weak Warlord in the past.

Xun You acknowledge what he said, and then explain by saying that’s why he says just probe, because this is just a decoy, and from the Oriole information his expansion to North, Northeast, and Southeast.

That means his army was scattered which was a perfect time for them to send their army there with the help of the Navy, and the Oriole would standby between the border of Gongsun Du and Yuan Shao to strike down any messengers or spies to keep what happened unknown for as long as they could, and in the Sea the navy also stand alert for the same reason as the Oriolw while bringing their army to Liaodong, and when everyone hear this plan they were shocked.
