On the way to Beihai, passing by Guangling Lie Fan and his army met up with Taishi Ci and Bu Zhi who led the Zhuque Army they then marched together toward Beihai, after several days or around 2 weeks they arrived at the moment where Guo Jia and Xi Zhicai was debating each other not realizing that the man they are talking about is near their position.

Lie Fan and Taishi Ci’s combined army was around 110,000 men, with Lie Fan having around 65,000 men and Taishi Ci Zhuque’s army having around 45,000 men, which is more than enough to give Cao Cao and Liu Bei’s combined army a serious threat.

Cao Cao and Liu Bei’s men must have been exhausted by the high intensity of the attack that was done, Lie Fan’s men were also exhausted from the journey they had from Xiapi to Beihai.

So looking at the ongoing battle on Beihai, Lie Fan ordered his men to build their encampment for his men to take a rest and also to intimidate Cao Cao and Liu Bei with their presence.

Xun You, Zhuge Jin, Man Chong, and Lu Zhi began to formulate a strategy or tactic, while Lie Fan oversaw them in creating the strategy sometimes giving input here and there.

At Cao Cao and Liu Bei’s camp, at the same time, they revived reports that in their south an army suddenly arrived out of nowhere, and from the visual they saw, there were around 100,000 men or more.

Cao Cao and Liu Bei who received the news in their tent were shocked, Guo Jia and Xi Zhicai who were debating with each other were also shocked, so shocked that they even forgot about the debate they had.

Xi Zhicai especially didn’t expect that his theory was correct, Lie Fan’s arrival to Beihai posed a big threat to Cao Cao and Liu Bei’s army, that’s why he told Cao Cao to hold off the attack but didn’t expect that it will come true.

Guo Jia, regaining composure, leaned in towards Cao Cao, his strategic mind quickly recalculating the unfolding situation and advising Cao Cao, that this unexpected development demands a reassessment of the plans they had created.

Lie Fan’s presence alters the strategic landscape, so Guo Jia advised caution and a temporary halt to their offensive on Beihai, where Xi Zhicai immediately echoed his agreement with Guo Jia’s words.

Cao Cao, absorbing Guo Jia’s counsel, nodded thoughtfully, agreeing with what Guo Jia said where the unexpected can be a formidable adversary. He ordered his army to withhold their attack and observe the situation collecting information.

Meanwhile, in Liu Bei’s tent, Ju Shou mirrored Guo Jia’s sentiments when he advised Liu Bei, that Lie Fan’s arrival bring an unforeseen challenge to them and he suggested that they refrain from advancing and carefully analyze the implications as their strategy must adapt to this unexpected twist.

Liu Bei, known for his thoughtful nature, considered Ju Shou’s words and agreed with Ju Shou, Liu Bei replied to Ju Shou by saying that they shouldn’t underestimate the impact of Lie Fan’s presence.

So he ordered his army to hold off the attack gather more intelligence also coordinate with Cao Cao before deciding their next move because Lie Fan’s presence had changed the entire landscape of the battlefield for them.

As Cao Cao and Liu Bei’s tent filled with apprehension, orders came out for their army to hold off their attack and retreat, Lu Bu and Chen Gong who saw this let out a loud cheer alongside their army as this meant it was their victory and they can continue to live for tomorrow.

It was at this time that both Chen Gong and Lu Bu received news that south of Cao Cao and Liu Bei’s army encampment location, there was the presence of another army with a large number of men.

Chen Gong immediately knew that it was Lie Fan because the only force who could come from the south at the Central Plains was Lie Fan, he told Lu Bu what he thought and was relieved that Lie Fan upheld the alliance treaty.

Lu Bu: ”Humph! That bastard finally arrived, we have been locked down at Beihai for around a month and some days!”

Chen Gong: ”My Lord at least Lie Fan has come to our rescue, because I don’t know if our Army can hold on with the continued aggressive attack by Cao Cao and Liu Bei’s army.”

Lu Bu: ”Humph! I think he is trying to delay sending his army so that he could reap as many benefits as possible, truly terrifying this bastard is.”

Chen Gong: ”Yes He is My Lord, that’s why the biggest threat to your ambition is Cao Cao and Lie Fan, both true players of the board, and each of their moves were already calculated for the entirety of the chess board.”

Lu Bu: ”It’s too dizzy thinking that kind of thing every day, I have you for me to think about those things Gongtai! Alright, I leave things here to you, I will support Song Xian and Wei Xu to rescue My Daughter! Hao Meng and Cheng Lian on me!”

Hao Meng + Cheng Lian: ”Yes My Lord!”

Lu Bu takes both Cheng Lian and Hao Meng alongside him to support Song Xian and Wei Xu who almost break through Xu Si and his men, leaving Chen Gong and Zhang Liao to handle the main battlefield.

Lu Bu’s presence and the arrival of Hao Meng and Cheng Lian immediately helped Song Xian and Wei Xu to break through Xu Si and his men, capturing Xu Si in the progress where Lu Bu told Song Xian and Wei Xu to escort him to Chen Gong.

He alongside Hao Meng and Cheng Lian with their units then headed toward Beihai’s Governor Castle, where they saw a battle was unfolding between Zhang Miao and his men against Lu Lingqi and her unit who were trying their best to defend the Castle.

Seeing that Lu Lingqi’s defenses were almost breached by the effort of Zhang Miao and his men, flying into a rage Lu Bu led his men from the front attacking Zhang Miao and his men from the rear taking them by surprise.

Lu Bu who was formidable in the battle was killing Zhang Miao’s men left and right blinded by rage after seeing the condition her daughter was in, not realizing the presence of a threat coming from behind him.

Cao Cao’s spies who infiltrated Lu Bu’s army were among the men that Lu Bu, Hao Meng, and Vheng Lian led to rescue Lu Lingqi, there were 4 of them, and thinking that this was a perfect opportunity to wound Lu Bu they take their chances.

If it was Lu Bu on his average days, he would notice the gaze on his back also but due to him now being controlled by his emotions, when he realized what happened it was already too late since four swords already reached his body.

But due to Luck or Lu Bu’s tough armor, from four of these swords two managed to stab him in the back while the other two only grazed his armor and gave a bruise to his back.

Feeling the stabbing pain Lu Bu turned his body and killed four of those men, Cheng Lian and Hao Meng who saw this were shocked but they immediately rallied around Lu Bu to protect him.

Lu Lingqi who was standing atop the wall also saw this scene, she was taken aback and immediately led her unit to open the gate and support Lu Bu, Cheng Lian, and Hao Meng surprising Zhang Miao and his men.

A short amount of time passed and Zhang Miao was captured by Cheng Lian, meanwhile, Lu Lingqi came to her father’s side to check on his condition, and saw the worry and fear look his daughter’s face, Lu Bu gave a smile and told her that it was just a small injury.

Lu Lingqi: ”What how could it be a small injury?! It was two stab injuries on your back, fortunately, Father’s armor was a tough one! If it’s no trough, it would already injure your organs seeing the location of that they targeted!”

Lu Bu: ”Haha alright Qi’er, you don’t have to worry! Father receives this kind of injury all the time when Father goes out to battle, it was just a small injury don’t worry it will heal in no time, and don’t tell your Mother.”

Lu Lingqi: ”There is no such thing as a small injury Father! I want you to stop going into battle yourself and lead the defense with Master Chen Gong from the rear!”

Lu Bu: ”Qi’er you worry too much! You know that Father much prefers to lead the battle in the front line!”

Lu Lingqi didn’t say anything else but gave Lu Bu a deadly gaze and mouthed the words that she would report his injuries to her Mother, which Lu Bu immediately promised her that he would do just like she asked him to do.

Seeing that Lu Bu had promised her, Lu Lingqi was satisfied and returned to the Castel alongside her unit, to treat the wounded and guard the castle once again, while Lu Bu, Hao Meng, and Cheng Lian returned to Beihai walls with Zhang Miao and his men in custody.

Arriving there, Zhang Miao and Xu Si were immediately on trial by Chen Gong, he denounced and cursed the two of them for the betrayal they had done, which resulted in many casualties and even innocent civilians implicated.

Zhang Miao and Xu Si only let out shouts of curse and saying that if it’s not for Lu Bu not respecting them, they would not betray him, so at the end of the day it’s all Lu Bu’s karma for not treating his subordinate with respect.

Lu Bu who heard these words immediately replied by saying that if they did their assignment better without any loopholes he would respect them, but they were tricked by a trick that even he could sense from miles away and put his force in a bad conjecture with Lie Fan where Lie Fan have the upper hand over them.

Not caring for what he said, Zhang Miao said that they had done their best for him and even if they were at fault, at least appreciate what they had done and not scold them and even insult them for the hard work they had done.

Lu Bu who was angered by the shamelessness of Zhang Miao’s words stood up and with this halberd in hand approached the two of them, Chen Gonv who saw this let out the undetected that for their betrayal they were sentenced to death by beheadment.

Zhang Miao and Xu Si let out panicked shouts and asked Cao Cao’s help but they were held by Lu Bu’s men, Lu Bu who saw and heard this only let out a grim smile and used his hall red to behead Xu Si first and then Zhang Miao cause Lu Bu’s men to let out a loud cheer.

Lu Bu wanted to take both of their heads and show his men the consequence of betraying him, but suddenly there up some blood and the blood was a black one, Lu Bu seeing the black blood knew that he was poisoned and likely due to the wound he revive before, while Chen Gong and his retainer immediately panicked when they saw this happened.
