The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

The Land of Slaughter was similar to the Land of Mountains and Seas, as both were home to various Wizard factions.

Signing the Mountain and Sea Contract was also closely related to the Land of Slaughter.

Information surfaced in Wang Ya’s mind about a gathering place for Wild Wizards called Licorice Camp. It was massive, even housing several Extreme Wizard Apprentices who worked together to maintain the Wizard Camp’s order and security.

Traveling Wizards could rent stalls inside the camp to sell their wares. Entering the camp also required a fee of a certain number of Magic Stones, paid for guaranteed security.

It was similar to the Wizard Camps in the Dark Land, but it offered more freedom and was much larger in scale.

Due to its unique location and the absence of any Official Wizards, the Wizard factions of both the Land of Slaughter and the Land of Mountains and Seas tacitly acknowledged the camp’s existence.

If one could afford the price, even some of the hereditary Extraordinary Knowledge from Wizard factions could be found for sale.

It was like a black market in the Mortal World, a place for fencing illicit goods.

”We’ll go in one month,” Wang Ya replied.

Kaze Antuun nodded. ”We shouldn’t bring too many people, or we’ll risk attracting the attention of the Extreme Wizard Apprentices in Licorice Camp. The primary goal is to first confirm the location of the Black Sun Ruins and conduct a preliminary exploration.”

The two of them then discussed the specific details of the plan. They covered the main objective of the exploration, as well as the escape routes and methods they would use if they encountered danger.

All of this had to be discussed and prepared in advance.

In the end, they decided that just the two of them, Kaze Antuun and Wang Ya, would go.

After Wang Ya left the Wizard Mansion, Kaze Antuun remained, sitting alone in the room, silently lost in thought.

With Kaze Antuun’s discerning eye, it wasn’t hard to gauge Wang Ya’s current Power.

It was precisely for this reason that he had agreed to the two of them undertaking the exploration alone.

A Level 3 Wizard Apprentice’s Power was just right; it wouldn’t attract the attention of the Extreme Wizard Apprentices in Licorice Camp.

He also had a special method to conceal the particle aura fluctuations of an Extreme Wizard Apprentice.

’It’s only been twenty years... The speed of his Power increase is just too fast.’

Kaze Antuun let out a long breath.

The image of Zack surfaced in his mind, and he shook his head. ’Out of that entire batch of Wizard Apprentices, only Wang Ya Harak has likely reached the level of a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice.’

’Perhaps none of them from the clan alliances ever expected this.’

’In terms of both Power and potential, Wang Ya Harak has already surpassed the genius Wizards they cultivated.’

’His victory in the Secret Realm competition wasn’t luck, nor was it a fluke.’

’Rod Stark, the most outstanding Elemental Wizard?’

’Fox Grangai, a natural-born genius Black Wizard?’

’Or even Jim Novy, who merged with the Earth’s Embryo at birth... a Wizard with an Earth Element Affinity that surpassed ninety-nine percent of all other Wizards!’

’Compared to the Wang Ya Harak of today, they all seemed so pale and insignificant.’

As an Extreme Wizard Apprentice, Kaze Antuun could naturally detect the differences between their auras.

Wang Ya Harak’s aura far surpassed that of Hades back when he had advanced, to the point that Kaze Antuun even felt a faint sense of threat from him.

It was simply unbelievable.

Fortunately, Wang Ya Harak was an ally of their Antuun Clan.

....

For Wang Ya, the one-month wait was to allow Harak’s transformation to complete.

He was eagerly anticipating the changes the transformation would bring to Harak.

The fusion of the Infinite Blood Core, the Dream Infinite Genome, and the Black Core would drive Harak’s other Extraordinary Traits to advance as well, allowing him to obtain even more powerful Special Abilities.

During this period, Wang Ya also needed to prepare the Extraordinary Items required for the ruin exploration.

The Black Sun Wizard had been an Elemental Wizard, so the inheritance from his ruins would be of great help to Wang Ya, strengthening the foundation of his own Elemental Wizard Path.

Figuring things out step-by-step was too slow. The best method was to stand on the shoulders of giants, innovating on their work to create something of his own.

If he could obtain the Black Sun Wizard’s Extraordinary Knowledge on achieving Perfect Balance, that would be ideal.

The ”Yinluo Technique,” used for breaking through Protective Witch Arrays, was a product of Witch Array Alchemy. Different tiers of the Yinluo Witch Array Technique had varying levels of effectiveness when it came to severing a Witch Array Energy Cycle.

But the principle remained the same: a Witch Array ultimately required an energy supply. No matter how well hidden, there would always be a pattern, always be fluctuations of Particle Energy... The Yinluo Technique was created for this very purpose. The only problem was its high price.

These days, Wang Ya was not short on Magic Stones. Harak Grocery Store provided a continuous supply, and once the two Potion Wizards were fully trained, his profits wouldn’t suffer much even if he reduced the sale of Dream Creatures.

Wang Ya didn’t have much use for his Wizard’s Residence in Hundred Herbs Wizard City, so since it was just sitting idle, he sold it back to the Antuun Clan for a considerable sum of Magic Stones.

Next, he also had to prepare a short-distance teleportation Witch Array Technique. If he encountered danger, he could use it to tear open a rift in space and escape.

A Witch Array Technique called ”Sky-Breaking” was fairly well-known in the markets of the Dark Land. It was exceptionally effective for this purpose and had saved the lives of many Wizards.

As for Extraordinary Potions, Wang Ya purchased a batch of High-tier Azure Potions, which could restore the Particle Energy of a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice or higher.

Ordinary Azure Potions could no longer meet the needs of Wang Ya’s current Particle Energy Unit count; the amount they restored was minimal.

Wang Ya didn’t prepare any Recovery Potions. He figured that if an enemy was strong enough to injure him, a simple Recovery Potion would be useless anyway.

「One month later.」

Inside the laboratory, Harak successfully completed his transformation. A fragmented, deep blue light shimmered in Wang Ya’s pupils.
