The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

The doors to all the isolated cultivation areas had been opened. Some of the bolder Extraordinary Creatures ran out into the corridors, sprinting around and causing widespread destruction.

But at some point, many Extraordinary Creatures with pitch-black pupils appeared and began tearing into them.

The scent of blood stimulated their primal instincts. Soon, they were all fearlessly gnawing at each other. High above, a single Hebrew Falcon soared swiftly past, its sharp eyes filled with contempt for the Low-tier creatures below.

Even as a Low-tier Extraordinary Creature, it possessed considerable intelligence.

Its goal was clear: find the exit, escape, and get far away from this confining cage.

Finally, it saw the exit. Freedom was just outside. Excited, it couldn’t help but let out a low cry, only to find that, at some unknown moment, a bizarre-looking bird had blocked its path.

The Hebrew Falcon paid no mind to the bird’s small size. But as it drew closer, countless fleshy tendrils suddenly shot out from the bird’s grooved body.

The maws at the tips of the tendrils dug deep into the Hebrew Falcon’s organs. In an instant, its flesh and blood vanished, and its remaining skeleton fell straight to the ground.

It all happened so fast that it was hard to even react.

The crow, covered in black sludge, began to twitch violently as the black, fleshy tendrils on its body absorbed a significant amount from the Extraordinary Creatures, initiating its first transformation.

Wang Ya stood at the doorway, observing everything through a Witch Array and Harak’s eyes. Its performance so far had not disappointed him, and he eagerly awaited what Harak would become after its transformation.

’My only slight concern is the number of Magic Stones in my pocket. For Harak to become whole and perfect itself through devouring, it will have to absorb more and stronger Extraordinary Creatures.’

’It seems it can’t achieve further completion by absorbing species it has already consumed. That’s probably one of its limitations.’

’Its limitless potential comes from stacking low-tier abilities to leap to a higher tier.’

’Bloodline Wizards lack this kind of Special Ability, which is why they’re constrained by the shackles of their bloodline.’

’Harak won’t have any bottlenecks. Its only limits will be opponents it can’t defeat and food that takes time to digest.’

Wang Ya walked out of the Cultivation room. It was now Harak’s feeding time. He also needed to prepare his subsequent Witchcraft modification plan and procure more food to enhance Harak.

The specific direction of its enhancement would depend on the strengths of the creatures it devoured. If it consumed a creature that excelled at defense, Harak’s own defenses would improve. The same was true for abilities like concealing its aura.

Eventually, Harak would become the ultimate lifeform, with no weaknesses whatsoever.

[Objective: Witchcraft Modification Plan]

[Start Time: In one hour]

[Purpose: To complete further modifications of learned Witchcraft, compensate for weaknesses, create derivative Witchcraft, and perfect the Witchcraft series to achieve comprehensive development with no shortcomings.]

In the laboratory, Wang Ya’s pupils shimmered with a fine, blue light. He already had a clear direction for how to modify the Witchcraft he had mastered.

Before conducting the relevant Witchcraft tests, Wang Ya had to take care of one other matter: the Night Moon Elf sisters in Laboratory No. 3. As things stood, he had no immediate use for these two precious test subjects.

As nutrient fluid was injected into the pods, the Night Moon Elf sisters lay flat, still in a quiet slumber. Their perfectly proportioned features were enough to charm any mortal, like sleeping beauties.

Wang Ya, however, couldn’t even be bothered to glance at them. ’What beauty can there be in experimental materials? If there is any true beauty, it’s what’s revealed on the dissection table.’

’The last thing to possess such beauty was Gundas’ Dog.’

’In terms of beauty, they can’t even compare to one percent of what Harak is now.’

’Fragile bodies with no plastic potential for transformation. Their only praiseworthy quality is their spiritual will, and it’s uncertain if even that can withstand the ordeal of illusory experiments.’

As for the idea of waking them from their anesthetized slumber and having the Night Moon Elves help him with tasks—only a foolish Wizard Freshman who didn’t understand the situation would consider such a thing.

There is a cautionary rule in the Wizard World: Never develop any feelings for your experimental materials or products beyond their utility and potential for profit.

Experimental materials are just that—experimental materials. Once they enter the laboratory, that is their only purpose.

Wang Ya planned to conduct the relevant illusory experiments after the Secret Realm competition.

However, just as Wang Ya was leaving Laboratory No. 3, one of the Night Moon Elves in the nutrient pods opened her eyes. Her gaze was filled with frustration—the look of someone whose plan was on the verge of success, only to be ruined at the last moment.

What is the essence of Particle Energy?

Wang Ya had a very clear understanding of this. Both the Basic and Advanced Extraordinary Disciplines he had studied explained the detailed concepts behind it.

The specific comprehension, however, was up to each individual Wizard Student. The instructors were very careful about this, making sure not to impose their own subjective ideas and minimizing their influence on the Wizard Students, allowing them to think for themselves.

Natural particle energy has two opposing aspects: inert and active. The Particle Energy that Wizards possess also contains this duality.
