The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

Gusai Wizard was truly stunned by Wang Ya.

He had only subconsciously brought up some information about the illusory and the real, spurred by the conversation. This was a topic that Wizards of his level were just beginning to research, falling under the category of High Tier Knowledge.

It was absolutely not something a Level 1 Wizard Apprentice could grasp, let alone comprehend.

Perhaps some might gain a vague, superficial understanding, but Wang Ya’s current transformation was far more than that. He had clearly reached a genuine epiphany and solved some vexing problems.

’The change is so obvious. His aura is constantly rising, and the purity of his internal Particle Energy is gradually reaching another level.’

Gusai Wizard’s eye was sharp, and his judgment was spot on. After all, he had once walked this very path.

’The condensation of his Spiritual Power also seems to have improved. He’ll be able to cast Witchcraft much more smoothly.’

Gusai Wizard found it hard to believe. Although Extraordinary Spiritual Power was an extension of one’s Mental Will and its fundamentals couldn’t be fully fathomed, ’what on earth is this kid thinking about? How could some concepts and theories about the illusory and the real trigger such a massive reaction in his mental state?’

He reckoned the effect was no less than consuming a Nightmare Flower or some Dawn Grass.

With a wry smile, he glanced at the intensifying battle, then reluctantly cast an Isolation Witchcraft to conceal Wang Ya’s aura and presence completely.

Fortunately, they were watching from a considerable distance, and the other Wizards were focused on the deathmatch, so no one had noticed what was happening over here.

Otherwise, the convergence of so many gazes and auras would have disrupted the boy’s special mental State.

Even the Biological Force Fields of the Extreme Wizard Apprentices would have subconsciously affected him.

In truth, the concepts of the illusory and the real were indeed far beyond Wang Ya’s level, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t gain some insight.

On the contrary, the solid foundation he had built over the past several days had given Wang Ya the fundamental Ability to contemplate such things.

Moreover, he had Gundas’ Dog as a test subject for daily analysis and observation.

He had written as many as six experimental essays, discovered numerous Traits of Gundas’ Dog, and formulated six speculative directions for research and experimentation based on his notes.

After purchasing the advanced subject courses and the Advanced Meditation Method, Wang Ya’s next step was to conduct variable experiments based on these six directions.

There was no guarantee of their correctness; in fact, it was likely that many of the directions were wrong. They were merely speculations based on Wang Ya’s current understanding.

But his method was undoubtedly sound. As time went on, and as Wang Ya’s knowledge and personal Level increased, he would be able to determine the correct results through actual Wizard Experiments.

Wang Ya estimated it would take him about two years.

Gusai Wizard’s words had allowed Wang Ya to shorten this process even further.

The content of his speculations and some of his anticipated directions corresponded with the theory of Balance between the illusory and the real.

It was as if a vast number of puzzle pieces had been connected by a single thread.

Of the six speculative directions, half could be eliminated, leaving three potentially correct paths.

As a result, the time and resources Wang Ya would need to spend would be drastically reduced.

The aura around him slowly calmed, and the Particle Energy within his body stabilized.

A faint blue luster flickered in Wang Ya’s pupils as he used the Eye of Truth to gather data on the battle, including the various displays of Witchcraft.

He focused his observation and analysis on Wizard Yi Si.

The Witchcraft unleashed by Wizard Yi Si was terrifying. White Particle Energy spread out like a cataclysm, contaminating even the churning seawater and solidifying vast stretches of it into a bone-like substance.

This must be the Inheritance Witchcraft of the White Bone Lineage. Its power was truly immense, possessing the terrifying Trait of ossification, which extinguished all Vitality.

It even altered the nature of flesh and blood. Judging from the effects on a molecular level, likely not even a White Bone Wizard could save someone infected by the White Bone Particles.

An absolute double-edged sword.

One of his three research directions for Gundas’ Dog also involved related genes and the nature of flesh and blood.

Wizard Yi Si’s opponents were not the kind of enemies that could be easily dismissed. Under the overwhelming cover of White Bone Particles, the four Wizards used their Witchcraft to support one another and were actually managing to hold their ground.

Wang Ya was quite surprised. The difference in realms was not as easily overcome as one might imagine. In the history of Wizards, there were very few precedents of cross-Level battles resulting in victory for the lower side.

But these Wizards from the Bailin and Purple Gold Flower Clans seemed to have prepared in advance. The Witchcraft they cast coordinated with each other in perfect harmony.

The White Bone Particle Energy wasn’t invincible. While its lethality was immense, it was fundamentally no different from the Particle Energy of other Wizards—it was all still Particle Energy.

They could counteract and neutralize each other.

By combining the power of all four and coordinating their various Witchcraft, they managed to mitigate the spread of the White Bone Particle Energy, creating a stalemate, however precarious it was.

They were secretly overjoyed. If they could just hold on a little longer, until the ten minutes were up, they would survive.

The light of hope for survival and a future seemed to shine upon their faces.

But Wizard Yi Si’s next move was like the reaping of the Grim Reaper’s scythe, becoming the most terrifying Nightmare in the four Wizards’ hearts.
