Urban All-Round Master

Chapter 448: Chapter 443: Aren’t You Going to Shower with Me?

It wasn’t until after passing through several alleys that they finally stopped in front of a lavishly decorated neighborhood.

Looking at the neighborhood, which was not too big but still quite luxurious, Lin Zifeng simply couldn’t imagine someone like Zhang Mengjie, who seemed like a big sister, actually living in a commoner’s neighborhood.

”Let’s go in, what are you spacing out for?” Zhang Yuxuan supported her sister, her voice dripping with sweetness.

”Oh!” Lin Zifeng snapped back to reality, seeing Zhang Mengjie’s frail body leaning on her younger sister, Lin Zifeng intended to step forward to help.

Resulting in Zhang Mengjie rolling her eyes at him. Lin Zifeng could only scratch his head and laugh awkwardly.

Only after escorting Zhang Mengjie home did Lin Zifeng not plan to stay. But damn it, the rain started pouring down just then.

With some lingering injuries on his body, getting soaked in the rain could very well lead to inflammation of his wounds.

”Are you really planning to leave so soon?” Zhang Yuxuan helped her sister into the bathroom.

”It’s getting late, I need to go back,” Lin Zifeng replied with a slight smile. ”As long as you’re safe, that’s good.”

”You? Did you already know that those people were going to kill my sister tonight? Is that why you deliberately stayed?” Zhang Yuxuan stammered, blushing, as it was just a guess of hers. She didn’t know if Lin Zifeng was aware that someone wanted to kill them, thus he stayed.

”No!” Lin Zifeng flatly denied, ”I simply wanted to escort you home.” He really didn’t want his heroic image to stick, so he made up a reason on the fly.

”That’s it?” Zhang Yuxuan tilted her head, questioning him in a tender voice.

”Heh heh, don’t think too highly of me. Tonight was purely an accident; I didn’t go out of my way to help you.”

”But you saved me and my sister, that’s a fact, right?”

”You could say that,” Lin Zifeng nodded.

”With such heavy rain outside, are you not going to stay?” Zhang Yuxuan got a little annoyed at Lin Zifeng’s lack of tact as he prepared to leave.

”Raining?”

”Yes, look at the state of you now, the serious injuries you’ve sustained, and with the heavy rain outside, are you really just going out like this?” Zhang Yuxuan pointed at the scars on Lin Zifeng’s waist and back, her lips pursed in dissatisfaction.

For Lin Zifeng, these minor scars were really nothing.

But now, with the rain pouring down heavily at night, it was impossible to hail a cab outside.

”Stay here, my house has plenty of rooms.”

”Well... okay then.” Covering the wound on his waist that was still bleeding profusely, Lin Zifeng knew he couldn’t delay treating his injuries for too long. If they weren’t dealt with promptly, they might get infected, which would be a laughing stock.

Seeing Lin Zifeng gladly nod his head in agreement, Zhang Yuxuan was very pleased.

She hurried to prepare a room for Lin Zifeng.

But in her excitement, she momentarily forgot about Lin Zifeng’s wounds...

Looking at the blood that kept flowing from his waist, Lin Zifeng shook his head with a bitter smile, knowing he needed to address it soon or he might really succumb to it.

After taking off his jacket, Lin Zifeng headed straight for their bathroom.

But upon opening the bathroom door, he was somewhat astonished.

He hadn’t expected the two ”elves” to have made a bathtub the size of a small swimming pool just for bathing!

Looking at the tub that was about the size of two beds, Lin Zifeng felt it was wasteful for the twin sisters to use so much water for a bath!

Gazing around the spacious bathroom, lit by the lights but empty of people.

”Not bad at all. I didn’t expect the big sister to be so meticulous,” Lin Zifeng commented, testing the water temperature with his hand, which was at a constant warmth compatible with the human body.

He couldn’t help but praise Zhang Mengjie.

”What are you doing?” Zhang Mengjie had just taken off her bloodstained clothes in the bathroom closet, ready to take a bath to unwind from the night’s fatigue, but she didn’t expect Lin Zifeng to come in.

”Uh... I’ll go out first, you bathe first.” Lin Zifeng, picking up the bloodstained clothes, prepared to leave the bathroom.

”Wait! Aren’t you going to join me? The bathtub is really big.”

But only Lin Zifeng knew, behind that angelic exterior of this woman lay a heart as venomous as a snake’s.

Untouchable.
