Urban All-Round Master

Chapter 443: Chapter 438 He’s Not My Boyfriend

”What, don’t I look the part?” Lin Zifeng smiled, a few sharp glints passing through his attractive eyes.

”Eh, I really didn’t see you as a security guard.” Zhang Yuxuan swung her small fist playfully.

”Hehe, what the eyes see isn’t always the truth.”

”Xixi, are you free tonight? I’ll treat you to dinner, how about that?”

”Treat me to dinner? I’m afraid I’ll eat you out of house and home.”

”Don’t worry about that, I’m just afraid you won’t come. I haven’t properly thanked you yet for what happened with Sister Zhao last time. If it wasn’t for you taking drinks for Sister Zhao, she would have probably been taken advantage of that day.”

”Are you talking about Zhao Xuemo?” Lin Zifeng said, touching his nose with embarrassment.

He still remembered that incident to this day. The events of that night were indeed reminiscible, but Lin Zifeng now preferred not to mess with that woman anymore. After all, she was a married woman.

There was no need for him to engage in such behavior.

”Right, Sister Zhao even asked me to thank you properly a few days ago. If it weren’t for you, she might have really been in danger.” Zhang Yuxuan was able to smile about it, while Lin Zifeng’s nose was about to sour from the memory.

”Hehe, it was nothing, let’s not bring it up again in the future.”

Just then, as they were embraced, Lin Zifeng’s Demon Claw involuntarily crept up Zhang Yuxuan’s waist, touching her slender waist that felt as comfortable as a Spiritual Snake.

”Um, cough cough. Big brother Lin, where are you touching me?” At this moment, Zhang Yuxuan’s face turned as red as an apple.

”Uh... hehe, my mistake.” Lin Zifeng hurriedly explained with a dry laugh.

”Xixi, it’s alright, just don’t be too naughty.” With that, the two resumed their half-embrace and returned to slow dancing in the bar.

They reluctantly let go of each other only after the music stopped.

Back at the bar, Lin Zifeng ordered a Martini and sat there, watching the familiar figure he had just been dancing with.

However, the person seemed somewhat flustered now, and their expression was extremely unnatural.

Especially their eyes, which had sunk noticeably inward, and their pale face, devoid of any blood vessels, looked drained of blood.

Lin Zifeng could tell at a glance that the guy was in this ghostly state due to drug use.

These fellows had once harassed Zhang Yuxuan in the bar.

Back then, Zhang Yuxuan had looked towards him with hopeful eyes, yet Lin Zifeng didn’t do anything out of the ordinary to help her.

He didn’t know what had happened to them afterward.

But judging from their eyes and the bulging items at their waists, these fellows didn’t seem to have good intentions.

It wasn’t until after Zhang Yuxuan had left.

Zhang Yuxuan had initially planned to treat Lin Zifeng to dinner, but something urgent came up, so she asked Lin Zifeng not to wait for her that day.

She said she’d treat him another day, but the fellow just wouldn’t leave.

Looking at Zhang Yuxuan’s charming and moving face, Lin Zifeng chuckled, ”You promised to treat me to dinner today, how come you’ve changed your mind now?”

”It’s not that, my sister said she’s not feeling well today, and I need to go back and be with her,” Zhang Yuxuan stuck out her tongue.

”Not feeling well? Should I drive you guys home?”

Lin Zifeng touched his chin, smiling mysteriously.

If he hadn’t been concerned about their personal safety, Lin Zifeng certainly wouldn’t be taking the trouble to escort them home. However, those guys had been lingering in the bar and showing no sign of leaving, which made Lin Zifeng, a former Mercenary, feel that something was off.

”Er... well,” Zhang Yuxuan started to look a bit uneasy.

”Don’t worry, I’m just simply offering to take you home, don’t make too much of it,” Lin Zifeng shrugged and waved his hand nonchalantly.

”Alright then, but just make sure you don’t say anything out of line later, my sister has quite a temper,” Zhang Yuxuan cautiously warned.

”Don’t worry, I’m just purely giving you a ride home,” Lin Zifeng continued with a smile.

It wasn’t until a little past one in the morning that the several figures who had been waiting in the bar gradually disappeared.

It wasn’t until Zhang Yuxuan came out accompanied by a woman dressed in tight black clothes that Lin Zifeng noticed this charming-looking woman was actually her sister!

At a glance, this woman seemed to be only slightly older than Zhang Yuxuan.

What rendered Lin Zifeng speechless was that the woman was always smiling, appearing kind-hearted to everyone she met.

She looked like an innocent young girl, but as a former mercenary king, Lin Zifeng could tell at first sight that there was something different about this woman.

Just from her taste in clothing, women who prefer to wear black tend to be rather ruthless at heart.

But that’s not to say all women are.

”Hehe, the TV show I was just watching was so funny, I almost died laughing. Huh! Who’s this? Your boyfriend? Wow, not bad, he looks quite the gentleman. Yuxuan, your taste isn’t bad,” she praised, giggling.

At that moment, the fierce queen Zhang Mengjie’s gaze turned toward Lin Zifeng, who was quietly standing aside.

After scrutinizing him for a moment, she began to sing Yuxuan’s praises with a playful laughter.

At that moment, Lin Zifeng was utterly confused.

This woman was really something else...

”Sister, don’t talk nonsense, he’s just a friend of mine, not what you’re imagining,” Zhang Yuxuan quickly stepped forward to explain, preventing Lin Zifeng from feeling embarrassed.

”Oh!”

Zhang Mengjie’s willow-leaf shaped brows slightly raised as she sized up Lin Zifeng again.

”If he’s not the boyfriend, then why hasn’t he left yet?”

”Uh...”

Lin Zifeng didn’t speak and touched his nose, overwhelmed with awkwardness.

”Sister, why are you asking so many questions? Didn’t you say you weren’t feeling well? He’s just being kind, giving us a ride home, don’t think too sideways about it,” Zhang Yuxuan hurriedly pulled her sister aside, whispering while covering her ears.

”Oh, so that’s how it is. Alright then, let’s go home,” Zhang Mengjie seemed somewhat enlightened.

”Yep, yep,” Zhang Yuxuan, squinting her crescent moon eyes and excitedly holding her sister’s arm, walked towards the outside, not forgetting to turn her head back and give Lin Zifeng a triumphant wink.

Three hefty men dressed in black and wearing sunglasses followed behind them.

A glance made it clear they were their bodyguards.

When Lin Zifeng followed behind them, the three of them cast disdainful looks at Lin Zifeng.

But Lin Zifeng didn’t pay any mind to it.

Instead, he continued to accompany them toward a main road outside the bar.

Just then, a lonely north wind blew, and Zhang Mengjie’s previously cheerful and smiling face suddenly shifted to one of cold alarm.

The three black-clad bodyguards behind her didn’t seem to notice anything yet.

Seeing Zhang Mengjie becoming so vigilant, they too began to look around.

”What’s wrong, Sister?” Zhang Yuxuan asked, confused.

”Looks like we can’t leave tonight,” Zhang Mengjie cursed under her breath.
