“I’ll pay for you.”

“That would be too embarrassing, let me treat you to a meal another day,” Xiao Yifeng said to Fang Siqi.

“We’re colleagues, no need to be so polite.” Fang Siqi smiled faintly and ordered a meal for Xiao Yifeng as well.

The two found a seat and sat down.

Fang Siqi looked around and said, “Isn’t it inappropriate for us to sit together like this?”

“What’s wrong with it, or are you afraid the CEO will see us and think we’re up to something?” Xiao Yifeng said with a wicked grin.

Fang Siqi’s cheeks turned red, and she lowered her head, too embarrassed to speak.

“You two seem to be getting along pretty well, already sitting together for meals.”

At that moment, Hong Mei came over with her tray and sat down next to Fang Siqi.

“Siqi, come out for a moment, I have something to talk to you about.”

A man in a suit with glasses and a bit of a belly came up to Fang Siqi and said.

“Is there something you need, Manager Zhou?” Fang Siqi lifted her eyes to meet his.

“You’ll know if you come with me.” The man said and turned to leave after speaking.

Fang Siqi thought for a moment, then got up and followed him out.

“Who is this guy?” Xiao Yifeng asked Hong Mei with narrowed eyes.

“He’s Zhou Tao, the deputy manager of our sales department.

This guy is a major lecher and likes to mess around with the young female staff.

Several young girls from the sales department have fallen prey to him, and it seems he’s recently set his sights on Siqi.

I don’t know what’s going through that guy’s mind,” Hong Mei said with a sigh.

“How can such scum still be kept at Chu’s?”

“Although Zhou Tao’s character is questionable, his professional capabilities are strong, and his brother-in-law is Nie Tianming, a director of our company.

With such a backer, and since he hasn’t stirred up too much trouble, naturally, no one can touch him,” Hong Mei said indifferently.

Xiao Yifeng continued eating while his gaze flickered.

A few minutes later, Xiao Yifeng finished his meal and left the cafeteria.

His penetrating gaze was already activated, scanning the building.

Soon, in a stairwell, he saw Fang Siqi and Zhou Tao; Zhou Tao was grabbing Fang Siqi’s hand, pushing her against a corner of the wall.

“Manager Zhou, please don’t do this,” Fang Siqi struggled against Zhou Tao, her eyes turning red.

“My little treasure Siqi, you know how I feel about you.

I fell in love with you the moment I saw you.

If you agree to be my woman, not only will I ensure you stay at Ye Corporation after your internship, but I’ll also promote you to the position of team leader in the sales department.

That’s a salary of tens of thousands a month,” Zhou Tao said with a lecherous look in his eyes, filled with greed as he gazed at Fang Siqi.

“I don’t need that; I just want to make a living with my own abilities,” Fang Siqi said resolutely.

“Hmph, you really are stubborn.

In that case, you can’t blame me,” Zhou Tao said.

His hands pinned down Fang Siqi’s arms, and his large mouth moved towards Fang Siqi’s small, cherry lips.

The latter’s eyes swirled with tears, and her face showed pain.

Bang!

Just then, Zhou Tao suddenly felt himself flying through the air, crashing against the wall of the stairwell with a painful grunt on his face.

“Scum!”

A cold voice sounded in the stairwell as a figure appeared – it was Xiao Yifeng, who swept a cold look over Zhou Tao.

“Are you alright?” Xiao Yifeng’s eyes moved to Fang Siqi, who looked distressed with teary eyes.

A pang of pity arose in his heart.

“I’m fine, thank you,” Fang Siqi shook her head as her expression gradually steadied.

“Bastard, who are you?

How dare you hit me?” Zhou Tao came to his senses and roared at Xiao Yifeng.

“A beast like you deserves to be hit.”

Xiao Yifeng snorted coldly and stepped forward, kicking Zhou Tao several times, causing the latter to howl in pain.

“That’s enough, Xiao…

don’t hit him anymore,” Fang Siqi hurriedly came over and grabbed Xiao Yifeng.

“Hmph, consider this a lesson.

Let’s see if you dare to do such despicable things again,” Xiao Yifeng snorted again and kicked Zhou Tao one more time.

“Let’s go.” Xiao Yifeng pulled Fang Siqi away and left the stairwell.

“Bastard, I won’t let this go,” Zhou Tao roared in a pained and disheveled state.

As Xiao Yifeng held Fang Siqi’s hand and left the stairwell, they arrived at a corridor where Fang Siqi, with a shy look, said, “Could you let go of my hand?”

“Oh, sorry,” Xiao Yifeng said awkwardly.

“It’s okay, thank you for earlier,” Fang Siqi said, intertwining her fingers and looking at Xiao Yifeng with a grateful expression.

“No need to thank me, we’re colleagues after all.

We should help each other, and if you don’t mind, you can call me Brother Xiao from now on.”

Fang Siqi replied in a soft, barely audible voice, “Brother Xiao, won’t there be any trouble for you after hitting Zhou Tao?”

“What trouble could I possibly have?

Have you forgotten who I am?” Xiao Yifeng said with a smile.

Xiao Yifeng returned to the sales department with Fang Siqi and encountered Zhou Tao again, who looked at Xiao Yifeng with a disheveled and pained expression, his eyes filled with hatred.

“So you’re from the sales department,” Zhou Tao said coldly to Xiao Yifeng.

His eyes then flashed with a cold gleam, “Starting now, you’re fired.

Pack your things and get out.”

Hearing Zhou Tao’s words, the entire sales department looked at him in surprise; they were completely stunned.

Zhou Tao was actually trying to fire the CEO’s fiancé.

That was downright audacious.

Zhou Tao, unaware of the employees’ gazes, hadn’t been in the company previously and had no idea that the man standing before him was the CEO’s fiancé; otherwise, he wouldn’t have so recklessly made those comments.

“On what grounds are you firing me?” Xiao Yifeng asked, arms crossed, looking interestedly at Zhou Tao.

“You assaulted a superior; that alone is reason enough to fire you.

Get lost,” Zhou Tao scoffed disdainfully.

“If you want to fire me, that’s fine, but only if the manager agrees.

A deputy manager like you doesn’t have the authority,” Xiao Yifeng said calmly.

“Oh, so you’re going to invoke the manager’s authority, huh?

Fine, I’ll go right now and have Manager Qiu personally issue the order to fire you,” Zhou Tao said furiously, making his way to Qiu Yuying’s office.
