“Your sister’s fiancé?

Are you Ye Yaxin’s younger sister?” Xiao Yifeng looked at the beauty before him with surprise, not expecting that Ye Yaxin had such a pretty sister; no wonder they looked a bit alike.

“I was wondering what my sister’s fiancé would look like, so you look like this, huh.” Ye Yashi pouted and crossed her arms as she sat down on the sofa.

Xiao Yifeng suddenly felt like he was being looked down upon and said discontentedly, “What’s wrong with me?

Handsome and with a good temperament, I’m definitely the favorite of all kinds of beauties.”

“Ugh…

I feel like vomiting.” Ye Yashi made a gagging gesture, her face full of disdain.

“By the way, you were peeking at me just now.

How are you going to make it up to me?” Xiao Yifeng sat down on the nearby sofa and said with his leg propped up.

“What?

You want me to make it up to you?

I haven’t even said you’ve polluted my eyes yet.” Ye Yashi huffed.

“I’m so pure, how could I possibly pollute your eyes.” Xiao Yifeng hummed proudly.

“Shameless, I’ve never seen someone as shameless as you, how could my grandfather find such a brother-in-law for my sister.” Chu Yashi pouted and glared at Xiao Yifeng.

At this moment, the door of the villa rang, and Ye Yaxin walked in wearing black high heels, her face cold and stunning.

“Wife, you’re back.”

Seeing Ye Yaxin walk in, Xiao Yifeng stood up immediately, exposing his bare chest.

Ye Yaxin’s expression stalled, staring blankly, and Xiao Yifeng was even more embarrassed.

“Xiao Yifeng!”

Ye Yaxin’s cold voice exploded, and she sharply turned her head away, her face flushing slightly.

Xiao Yifeng quickly turned and hurried back to his own room.

Ye Yashi watched her sister with a strangely amused expression.

“This jerk!” Ye Yaxin huffed coldly, struggling to contain her anger, then turned her eyes to Ye Yashi, “Yashi, why are you here?”

“Sis, since you’ve moved out, I naturally came to live with you, and to see how you’re getting along with my future brother-in-law.”

“He’s only temporary, and he definitely won’t be your brother-in-law in the future,” Ye Yaxin said quickly.

At that moment, Xiao Yifeng reappeared wearing casual clothes and looked at Ye Yashi, “Little auntie, so you’re staying here too?

That’s great, the three of us can live together.”

“Pah, who wants to live with you?

And you’re not even my brother-in-law yet; you can’t call me little auntie.” Ye Yashi snorted with a pout.

“Alright, alright, it’s all the same whether you call me that sooner or later,” Xiao Yifeng said nonchalantly.

“Xiao Yifeng, I’m setting another rule for you: you must dress properly at home,” Ye Yaxin said coldly to Xiao Yifeng.

“Got it,” Xiao Yifeng replied and went into the kitchen.

“What are you doing?” Chu Yaxin’s gaze followed Xiao Yifeng.

Xiao Yifeng retorted, “What else?

Making dinner, of course.

Otherwise, are we supposed to eat the north wind?”

“You know how to cook?” Ye Yashi looked at Xiao Yifeng in surprise.

“In today’s society, a man who can’t cook isn’t a good man.

As an all-around good man, I naturally know how to cook,” Xiao Yifeng boasted.

“Pfft, I think you’re just bragging.

Whatever you make is bound to be terrible,” Ye Yashi said with a curled lip, looking at Xiao Yifeng.

Xiao Yifeng just smiled, said nothing, and began preparing dinner with a pile of ingredients he took out from the refrigerator.

As someone who had spent nearly seven or eight years in the wilds of Huangshan, cooking had become a necessary skill for Xiao Yifeng to master.

Otherwise, he would have starved to death a long time ago.

He certainly couldn’t count on his master, the old man, to feed him.

It was more like he had to cook for the old man.

Clang clang clang!

With skillful knife work, Xiao Yifeng at that moment truly resembled a dedicated home cook.

Half an hour later, the dinner table was full: tomato and egg soup, cucumber stir-fried with ham, chili stir-fried pork, braised spare ribs—a three-dish one-soup combo, with a perfect balance of meat and vegetables, bursting with color, aroma, and flavor.

“Wow!

That smells amazing!”

Ye Yashi rushed up like a little greedy cat, looked at the dishes on the table with an amazed expression, and turned to Xiao Yifeng: “Did you really make these?”

“What else?” Xiao Yifeng said with a smile.

“Hmm, delicious,” Ye Yashi couldn’t wait to try a bite with her chopsticks.

She was immediately surprised; it was entirely different from what she had expected.

After trying all the dishes, she found that they all tasted quite good.

“I bet you used to be a chef,” Ye Yashi said in admiration.

“I’ve just had enough practice,” Xiao Yifeng replied, bringing over bowls and chopsticks, and sitting down to eat.

“Considering this meal, I’ll reluctantly call you brother-in-law,” Ye Yashi said while eating and smacking her lips.

Xiao Yifeng had not expected that a single meal would win over his little sister-in-law.

At that moment, Chu Yaxin, dressed in casual home clothes, slowly came downstairs, her eyes scanning the scene.

“Sis, you have to come taste this.

The dishes brother-in-law made are delicious,” Ye Yashi called out to Chu Yaxin.

“Since when did he become your brother-in-law?”

Chu Yaxin walked over, her eyes swept over the three dishes and one soup and reflected a hint of surprise as she looked at Xiao Yifeng.

After taking a bite with her chopsticks, Chu Yaxin looked at Xiao Yifeng somewhat astonished: “It seems you’re not entirely useless after all—you’re at least a little competent.”

“Brother-in-law, why don’t you take over cooking at home from now on?” Ye Yashi quickly suggested.

“I don’t want to be a househusband,” Xiao Yifeng quickly shook his head.

The thought of staying at home cooking for a woman…

If it got out, his brothers and enemies would laugh him to death.

The thought alone was ridiculous: the War Emperor of the Western underground world acting as a househusband.

“Okay, you clean up the dishes.

Yashi, let’s go upstairs,” Chu Yaxin said after a while.

Half an hour later, having finished eating, Chu Yaxin looked at Xiao Yifeng, uttered a sentence, and went upstairs with her sister Ye Yashi, leaving Xiao Yifeng alone to clean up.

“Did I come here to find a wife or to be a nanny?” Xiao Yifeng lamented to himself.

After tidying up, Xiao Yifeng went straight back to his room.
