Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Chapter 112: 112 Accidentally (2)_1

His gaze shifted from the girl and landed on Huo Jinnan.

He walked straight through the gate, followed by Huo Bei.

Not just her, even Gu Jizhou had been staring intently at Huo Jinnan the whole time.

”Jizhou, aren’t we going in?”

Du Yuesheng smiled at Gu Jizhou, speaking with graceful composure.

Gu Jizhou snapped back to reality, glanced at Du Yuesheng, nodded slightly, and walked with her toward the gate, though his eyes couldn’t help drifting back to look at Huo Jinnan’s retreating figure.

From the Jaguar nearby, he had been vigilant, confirming there was no gap, until Huo Jinnan got out of the car!

So, had he never been to the old mansion before?

Then how did Che Huan leave?

Du Yuesheng looked at Gu Jizhou, ”Jizhou.”

Gu Jizhou came to himself and gave Du Yuesheng a cool glance, ”What is it?”

”It’s a bit heavy.” Du Yuesheng handed over the gift box she had prepared to him.

Gu Jizhou eyed it and took it instinctively.

Du Yuesheng smiled, spontaneously calling out, ”Brother Jizhou.”

Gu Jizhou glanced at Du Yuesheng and gave her a faint smile, then, taking her arm, they entered the Huo Mansion together.

The old man was much happier when he saw Huo Jinnan arrive. Upon seeing Gu Jizhou enter with the well-mannered and elegant Miss Du from the Du Family, the fog on his face finally dissipated completely.

Huo Jinyun sighed in relief and turned to Aunt Shen, ”Go prepare lunch.”

Aunt Zhao acknowledged and headed for the kitchen.

Huo Jinyun turned to Huo Qichang, ”Dad, I’ll go check why mother hasn’t returned yet.”

Huo Jinnan stood up, ”I’ll go.”

Huo Jinyun glanced at him, afraid of complications, and gave a light ”Mhm,” ”Anan, you go then. Mother should be taking a walk by the lake with Xiaowei.”

Huo Jinnan left the Huo Mansion and had not gone far along the lakeside when he saw the little fellow and Zhong Qin sitting in a pavilion by the lake.

When Zhong Qin saw Huo Jinnan, a smile appeared on her face.

Huo Jinnan walked over, ”Mom, why have you been out so long?”

”It was a bit stuffy inside, so Xiaowei and I came out for a walk.” Zhong Qin stood up, looking at the little fellow, ”We should head back now.”

The little fellow pouted unwillingly and turned to look at Huo Jinnan, ”I thought you weren’t coming.”

Huo Jinnan looked down at the little fellow and slowly extended his hand.

Seeing his large hand, the little fellow felt much happier, gleefully placing his small hand in Huo Jinnan’s palm, ”Big auntie called Gu Yunqing over again, how annoying!”

Huo Jinnan stayed silent.

The little fellow stole a glance at him, convinced that Huo Jinnan wasn’t lying when he said Gu Yunqing wasn’t his mother!

But why does Gu Yunqing always like to lie? Does she want that badly to marry Huo Jinnan?

The little fellow peeked a few more times. Huo Jinnan was very tall, good-looking, wealthy, and had a cool demeanor — probably what women liked, right? Or else why would so many women want to be his stepmother!

”Is it that no one wants Auntie Gu Jizhou? Why does she want so badly to marry you?”

Huo Jinnan looked down at the little fellow.

The little fellow pursed his lips, swallowed what he was about to say, and started hopping along to keep up with Huo Jinnan’s steps, pretending he hadn’t said anything a moment ago.

After a few steps, finding it hard to catch his breath, ”Daddy, slow down.”

Huo Jinnan looked down and reduced his pace, ”You should exercise more.”

”Oh, got it.” The little fellow replied, puffing his cheeks. Actually, as long as Huo Jinnan didn’t compete with him for Huanhuan, he was quite nice. Even if he wasn’t nice, he didn’t seem that bad!

Zhong Qin watched the father and son from a distance, her mind drifting. Back then, to secure her hold on Anan, Huo Jinyun had deliberately set a trap. How else could there be Xiaowei!
