Delta is Coming, Big Red Has Special Effects

32: School-wide open deposit competitionAt this moment, Liu Yan’s right hand was shaped like a claw, gripping Guo Li’s Adam’s apple.

Now, with just a little more force, he could make Guo Li lose the ability to speak.

Just as the students were shouting for them to fight, a commanding voice rang out.

”You haven’t even really entered the Third District, and you’ve already lost your humanity!”

Hearing this familiar voice, the students all stopped what they were doing and dispersed to the sides of the corridor.

The dispersing crowd formed a passage, and Liu Yan looked in the direction of the voice, seeing the principal walking straight towards them.

Upon seeing Liu Yan’s actions, the principal’s expression grew even angrier.

”Damn it, Principal, listen to me—” Zhao Chuang was cut off mid-sentence by a glare from the principal.

”Are you planning to kill him here? This isn’t the Third District, where death is just death!”

With the principal’s reminder, Liu Yan finally sobered up and quickly lowered his hand.

Once the threat was gone, Guo Li hid behind Lin Han, wiping the sweat from his crotch.

Aside from the pressure on his Adam’s apple, just seeing the claw marks on Liu Yan’s cheek up close had sent shivers down Guo Li’s spine.

Normally, Liu Yan wouldn’t be provoked by such words, but upon hearing the other party insult his mother, the anger and the effects of his sequelae led him to such impulsive behavior.

Seeing Liu Yan release Guo Li, the principal’s anger subsided somewhat.

The principal had heard so much about Liu Yan’s performance from Teacher Qi that his ears were practically calloused.

For such a genius to accidentally kill someone because of a few puny students would be a great loss not only for the school but also for the genius himself.

”For this incident, each of you will receive one major demerit!”

”Additionally, since you want to resolve this through a deposit match, it will be open to the entire school.”

”Regardless of what happened back then, let your strength do the talking. After this, no one is allowed to bring up this matter again.”

After speaking, the principal looked at Liu Yan and Lin Han respectively.

Upon hearing ’open to the entire school,’ a hint of glee appeared on Lin Han’s face, while Liu Yan looked indifferent.

Seeing that neither of them had any objections, the principal spoke to a student nearby:

”Go notify the school broadcast station; all teachers and students are to gather in the assembly hall.”

The student nodded vigorously and ran towards the broadcast room, looking as if he bore a great responsibility.

After the student left, the principal turned to Liu Yan and said coldly:

”If you lose, you won’t need to go to the Sniper Elite Competition, and your past record will be settled along with this incident.”

With that, the principal signaled that they could enter the Third District.

Lin Han snorted coldly, then led Guo Li and another teammate behind him, turning to enter the mist beyond the door.

Liu Yan patted Zhao Chuang, who was sulking beside him.

”Let’s go.”

After they successively entered the mist, the other students also headed to the school assembly hall.

Meanwhile, Liu Yan’s classmates rushed to the front, eager to grab good seats in the front row... Third District — Trading Zone.

”Why aren’t they here yet? They’re already overtime.”

Fuji had already recycled the extra equipment and was now idly waiting for everyone at the entrance.

Before long, five figures emerged from the entrance.

”Why so slow?” Fuji saw the two at the back and complained.

Hearing the voice, Lin Han glanced at Fuji and turned to ask:

”Is this the teammate you painstakingly found? He doesn’t look like much.”

Indeed, Fuji’s handsome face, paired with a middle part hairstyle and overalls, made him look nothing like one of the powerful individuals in the Third District.

He looked more like an idol singer or something similar.

Liu Yan ignored Lin Han’s taunt and walked directly in front of Fuji.

”Let’s go, time to buy equipment.”

Ignored, Lin Han spat fiercely and followed behind Liu Yan.

Since the deposit match required equipment of equal value, both parties needed to be present during the purchase.

At this moment, two military drones, not yet cloaked, flew behind Liu Yan and Lin Han respectively.

Due to the small number of students entering the Third District, and even fewer choosing to make their matches public, the school only allocated two military drones for practical teaching purposes.

However, upon seeing the military drone behind Liu Yan, a sinister smile appeared on Lin Han’s lips.

Quickly, both teams began their equipment allocation.

Lin Han’s team had four sets of Level 4 bullets for all four members.

The firearms were modified based on the team’s total value, ultimately just hitting the 3 million mark.

The newly added team member had an unmodified AKM.

The money saved from modifications was used to give Lin Han an additional semi-modified M700 sniper rifle.

Such adjustments were allowed in the deposit match, which only restricted the team’s total value, not how it was distributed.

After all, the strength of team members is not evenly distributed in every team.

However, Liu Yan’s equipment setup was something no one had ever heard of.

”Brother Yan, are you sure about this? If so, won’t you be fighting 1v3?”

Zhao Chuang, beside him, looked worried.

Compared to Lin Han’s stable equipment, Liu Yan’s was utterly audacious.

Fuji and Zhao Chuang, who were supposed to make up the numbers, were truly just making up the numbers.

For the 3 million expenditure, Liu Yan wore Level 5 headgear and armor, with two armor repair kits.

For firearms, he had a fully modified giant wave assault rifle for close combat and another fully modified M700 sniper rifle for long range.

Besides the 10 Level 5 bullets for the sniper rifle, the giant wave assault rifle used Level 4 bullets.

The remaining money was used to buy a Level 4 helmet and armor, which Zhao Chuang wore as a precaution... School Assembly Hall.

”Such overconfidence will lead to a great loss sooner or later!”

When the principal saw Liu Yan’s team’s equipment setup, a hint of displeasure appeared on his face, while a trace of worry was hidden deep in his eyes.

Although a Level 5 set has absolute suppression against a Level 4 set, doing so meant that the two unarmed teammates would be completely useless.

Although high-level armor in the Third District cannot be destroyed by low-level bullets through wear and tear, when one person faces three lines of fire, and all three simultaneously target the feet, let alone a Level 5 set, even a Level 6 set would be melted down in an instant!

Meanwhile, Liu Yan’s classmates below the stage erupted in chatter.

”Damn, I told you we should grab the front row seats! God Yan is going 1v3!”

”See, I told you, God Yan would definitely choose the most attention-grabbing playstyle!”

Students who knew Liu Yan were naturally excited by this, but the other students looked at Liu Yan’s equipment with disdain.

They thought he was just a coward, a vampire who armed himself with his teammates’ equipment money.

Third District — Trading Zone.

”Hahahaha, Liu Yan, are you still such a coward?”

Lin Han couldn’t help but mock Liu Yan again after seeing his equipment setup.

The new teammate beside him also started to lose his patience.

”Do you think you’re like our Captain Lin? Do you deserve to take up so much of the team’s funds?”

Guo Li patted the new teammate’s shoulder and sneered:

”Hey, hey, hey, don’t say that. I guess after that Bakshi incident, only this can make him feel safe.”

Facing their arrogant faces, even the timid Fuji couldn’t help but angrily say:

”Damn it, what kind of people are these? So low-class?”

”Don’t mind them, let’s go.” Liu Yan was already used to the three in front of him.

When his sequelae didn’t act up, Liu Yan could completely ignore these mocking voices.

After all, if your monthly salary is 10,000, and someone mocks you for having a monthly salary of 3,000, you wouldn’t care, and might even want to laugh.

But if your monthly salary is 3,000, and someone happens to mock you for having a monthly salary of 3,000... Clearly, Liu Yan was the former.
