I Can Devour Monsters' SSS Talents

The priest did not answer and threw the ship toward the empty space of the street.

The small object landed on the stone.

Click.

For a fraction of a second, nothing happened...then blue lines began to glow and white light came out from the entire body.

Kain unconsciously pulled his head back, and Lian also took a step back.

The ship began to grow, not by simply becoming bigger, but its real structure came out of the light layer by layer.

Its length went from the size of a palm to one meter in a single breath.

Three meters.

Five.

Ten.

The bottom of the ship opened into the air, the front part became longer, and white walls rose from both sides.

Lines of light on the surface of the body connected to each other in complex paths.

Twenty meters.

Thirty.

When its growth ended, a ship more than thirty meters long was standing in the middle of the ruined street of the city.

But what stopped Lian more than the change in its size was that it had not touched the ground.

The body remained floating about half a meter above the stone road.

”Here you go.” The priest raised his healthy hand respectfully toward the deck.

Kain looked at the ship and then at Lian.

”I think this trip is getting stranger every hour.”

He had no objection, even from close up, this thing did not look simple.

The Mana grooves on its body were so fine that some of them looked thinner than a strand of hair.

Before getting on, he turned his head toward Two.

The eight-eyed wolf was standing a few meters away, he had summoned him again so he could help scare these natives during the interrogation, but in the end, it was not needed, it was better for him to rest for the rest of the journey.

Two lowered his huge head slightly, as if he was saying goodbye.

His body turned into particles of light.

[Two has returned to the Colony House.]

Lian entered the ship after Kain, the two Region Three soldiers also followed them, and the priest was the last one.

The deck was simple compared to the size of the ship, there were no ropes, no sails, and not even a mast.

At the front, a half-transparent ring of light was floating in the air, and several Mana lines continued from it along the floor of the deck to the entire body.

Kain was still looking down and examining one of the grooves.

”What is this thing—”

The ship moved...for one moment it was still in the air, and the next...the ground of the city was ten meters below them.

”Damn it!” The Child of Light quickly grabbed the edge of the deck with his hand.

The ship quickly rose.

Twenty meters.

Fifty.

One hundred.

The wind hit their faces with force and pulled their clothes backward, the white and gray buildings of the City of Light below them became smaller.

The shrine stairs, the mirror towers, the black area that was collapsing, and the bodies of the soldiers from the two Regions, which were now only small spots from this height.

Kain moved to the wall and looked down, there was no fear on his face, instead...his excitement had almost become childish.

”It is really flying!”

Lian had one hand on the edge of the ship, the cold wind hit his face and pushed his hair backward.

Even he could not deny it...it was amazing.

The ship turned its front toward the mountain wall and the distance between them and the rocks quickly became smaller.

After a few seconds, Kain noticed that their direct path was leading exactly toward one of the highest parts of the mountain.

His eyes slowly moved toward the priest.

”I hope this thing knows what it’s doing.”

”It does, Your Highness, don’t worry.” The man was completely calm as he stood beside the ring of light.

The rocks came closer.

One hundred meters remained between them and the rocks....

Fifty meters.

Thirty meters.

Ten meters!

Kain tightened his fingers around the edge of the deck, and at the last moment, the front of the ship turned toward the sky.

Whoooosh!

A sudden pressure fell on their bodies, and the ship pulled up from the edge of the mountain at a sharp angle.

Gray rocks passed less than a few meters below the body.

Then there was nothing but the sky, thick clouds were in front of them, and the ship entered them without slowing down.

The world became white.

Cold moisture touched Lian’s face, he could not see more than a few meters, only the blue lines of the ship could be seen through the fog, and the sound of air passing around the body continued around them like a constant roar.

A few minutes later, they came out above the clouds.

Below them was a sea of clouds, the white clouds continued to the horizon, and the gray light of the sky spread across them.

The ship moved directly above it.

Kain walked from one side of the deck to the other, looked down, and then looked up.

”Okay. I admit it. This is probably the coolest thing I have ever seen.”

”Your Sphere of Witness is going to get upset.” Lian said.

Kain thought for a moment about the sphere he had stored inside his body.

”Second coolest thing.”

Lian had not even had time to answer when the front of the ship went down.

”Why are we going down?” Kain was also surprised.

The angle became greater...much greater.

”Why are we going down this much?”

”It’s normal.” The priest said calmly.

And at that moment, the ship fell, this time it was no longer like a controlled descent, instead, the body entered the clouds at high speed.

The wind pressure became so strong that Kain had to hold the wall with both hands.

Lian also pressed his palm firmly against the edge.

The clouds moved away and the scene below them suddenly became clear.

Blue and endless, it was a real sea, blue water continued to the horizon and shone under the light of the sky.

The ship was coming down toward the surface at a terrifying speed.

One hundred meters.

Fifty meters.

This time Kain said nothing, he only looked at the priest, the man was still calm.

Ten meters above the water, all the blue lines on the body lit up, and the shape of the lower part of the ship changed.

The body became wider, and the lines of light stretched from the front to the back, and then.....SPLASH!

The ship landed on the water, two huge walls of water rose from both sides, and drops fell onto the deck like rain.

But its speed did not stop, the ship moved forward across the surface of the sea, and the water behind it turned into a white line of foam and waves.

The Child of Light did not say anything for a few seconds, as if he was trying to control his surprise.

Then, with a wet face and some of his hair stuck to his forehead, he looked at the priest.

”What the hell is this thing?!”

Lian was also waiting for an answer.

Even for him, creating something like this was far beyond something that could simply be called ”useful.”

The priest placed his hand on the control ring.

”The Dream Voyager, it is a transportation artifact.”

”A transportation artifact that can fly?” Kain looked at the water below them again.

”For a short time, air travel uses several times more energy than moving on water.

”Usually, we only use the flying mode to cross mountains, valleys, or places where it is impossible to travel on the ground.”

Lian looked at the water paths on the body, this limitation made sense.

If the vehicle could fly anywhere without a significant cost, building roads and using normal ships in this world would not make much sense.

”Of course, this ship can fly in every environment, it can even enter someone’s dreams, fly in the sky and on the seas, and move through deserts.”

”Can we get one of these? Or is it something special?” Lian asked, this ship was an all-purpose vehicle, it was impossible not to be tempted by it.

”Under normal conditions, maybe, they are made to order, and as long as you pay the cost, they will make one for you.” The priest let out a small sigh.

He paused.

”But their creators are from Region Seven, the followers of the Divine of Soul and Dream.”

”And they have stopped trading with Region Three.” Lian understood.

”For years.” The man placed his hand on part of the wall.

”This one is old too. It has been repaired several times. If its main part is seriously damaged...I don’t think anyone in Region Three can fully repair it.”

The young Vorhelm looked around the ship again, another question appeared in his mind.

”Do you know how they make things like this? Or is making artifacts like this considered the main specialty of Region Seven?”

The priest thought for a moment.

”I don’t know the exact method. But making artifacts is not only their work, the other Regions also have their own craftsmen.”

Then he pointed at the floor of the ship with his hand.

”The difference with some of the craftsmen from Region Seven is their method of designing.”

”What is the difference?” Kain came closer.

”Dreams.”

”They can create the design of an artifact inside a dream, make a test version, destroy it, and try again from the beginning.”

”Without using real materials?” Lian showed more interest.

”As long as it is only designing and testing, yes. Stronger craftsmen can even change the way they experience time inside some dreams.”

”What does that mean?” Kain was genuinely interested this time.

”It means a craftsman may sleep at night and, from his own point of view, spend several weeks or even several months working on a design. Then, when he wakes up, he makes the version with the highest chance of success in the real world.”

”That’s really cool.” The Child of Light whispered.

Lian also slowly nodded, he agreed, even without direct combat power, such a profession had incredible value.

The ability to test hundreds of designs without wasting real materials, reducing mistakes, creating complex artifacts, and of course money.

Probably a lot of money.

He placed Region Seven one step higher on his list of places worth visiting someday.

After some time, the speed of the ship became stable.

The priest and one of the two soldiers went forward to control the route.

Kain stood beside the edge of the deck and only looked at the sea for a while.

For Lian, it was finally a chance to organize his panel, he sat beside the wall and opened his Status Panel.

The first thing that caught his attention was the reward from the Leviathan battle.

[Stat Points Received: 4,730.]

[Fragments Received: 9.]

Before the battle, he had 161 fragments.

Now.

[Fragments: 170.]

He lowered his eyes slightly, these numbers were not even the full reward from the battle.

Because Kain had directly participated in killing the Leviathan, his final share had unfortunately been cut in half.
