I Can Devour Monsters' SSS Talents

”Do you want to come to Region Three?”

Kain did not answer immediately.

His eyes moved from the man’s face to Lian, with everything that had happened, making a decision was not easy.

Just an hour ago, the forces of Region Three had wanted to capture him.

The situation had changed too quickly, a few hours ago he was the ”Tear Thief,” and now the same people who had wanted to capture him alive were kneeling in front of him and calling him the Child of Light.

He put his hands on his waist.

”Let’s say we agree, how exactly are we going there? It took us six hours just to get here from the mountain pass, where exactly are the seven Regions? How many hours away are they from here?”

”It is two days away, and by sea,” the priest answered without hesitation.

Kain slowly turned his head.

The black area that covered a large part of the city could still be seen in the distance, but it was no longer one solid area like a few hours ago and was slowly turning into vapor, even now a large part of it had already disappeared.

Parts of the black material had even gone down and revealed piles of stone and the burned ground beneath it.

And besides, he doubted that it was possible to sail through it.

”From...here?” he asked very quietly after that.

”No.” The priest showed something like a smile.

Kain waited and the man continued.

”You’ll understand.”

”That sentence was not reassuring at all.”

”What should we do? Should we accept in the end or not?” He looked at his best friend again.

”From a security point of view, I have no problem with it, whenever I sleep I can leave this place, you haven’t forgotten, right? But if they capture you, you’ll be screwed,” Lian answered calmly.

He could leave the Ruined Realm whenever he wanted.

”Ah...damn it, I completely forgot that you can freely travel in and out of the Ruined Realm...fuck.”

”Anyway, I don’t think going there is a bad idea, we might be able to get answers to many questions there and find out what this prophecy is,” the young Vorhelm added while ignoring his complaints.

Kain stayed silent for a few moments, it was true, they still had questions, and now that he knew he might be hunted by all six native Regions, it was not a bad idea to at least have one of them as support.

And in the end, they agreed to go there.

Lian looked at the huge body of the Eclipse Leviathan.

”I have something to do first.”

”I thought we already took everything valuable from it.” Kain followed the direction of his gaze.

”No.”

He moved toward the body, something inside his body reacted a little more clearly with every step.

The Leviathan’s body was more than sixty meters long, and now that it was lying motionless on the broken dock, it looked even bigger.

A large part of the monster’s shell had been broken or fallen apart during the battle.

Under it, the thick gray skin of the sea monster was exposed, and the deep crack in its chest showed the empty space where the cores it had swallowed had been.

But his Eclipse Core pulsed again as he got closer to the body.

Thump.

[Eclipse Core-compatible remains detected.]

[Remaining active Essence can be extracted.]

[Start the absorption process?]

Lian only answered in his mind.

Yes.

One of the black veins that remained between the Leviathan’s dried flesh moved.

The vein separated from the tissue and rose from the creature’s body against gravity like a drop of thick ink, floating in the air.

A second vein came out from around the spine, and then a third.

Very soon, dozens of thin black veins came out from different parts of the sixty-meter-long Leviathan’s body, from the collapsed Mana paths, from under the armor plates, from the dried veins.

The two Region Three soldiers unconsciously took several steps back, and the priest also changed his expression, the scene he was seeing...looked demonic.

All the veins slowly moved toward Lian’s right hand, and when the first flow entered his palm, the Eclipse Core reacted.

This time there was no intense pain or memories of the Demon Of Eclipse, and the Essence directly entered a specific path and went into the Core.

The small black sphere inside it began to spin, and the veins inside it became brighter.

The Leviathan’s remaining Essence was compressed layer by layer inside the Core.

The process took almost a minute.

[Eclipse Essence successfully absorbed.]

[Eclipse Core stability increased.]

[Eclipse Energy storage capacity increased.]

[Eclipse Energy production increased.]

Lian felt the Core for a few moments, the difference from a few minutes ago was clear.

What he had just absorbed was Eclipse Essence, they were exactly the same veins that had been on the Sphere Of Witness, and he had built his first Core by absorbing them.

And now, by absorbing the ones inside the body of this monster, the Core had become larger, and its capacity to store Eclipse Energy had also increased.

And besides, the Core could produce more Eclipse Energy.

Lian kept his attention on the black sphere inside him for a moment.

This meant that if he encountered another creature in the future that possessed Eclipse Essence, killing it would not only give him normal resources, it could directly help his first Core grow.

And the largest amount of Eclipse Essence was in the hands of the Demon Of Eclipse.

Would the day ever come when he could find and hunt that Demon?

”Can you please tell me what the hell you just did? What was that damn demonic scene?” Kain asked after seeing the change in his expression.

Lian said nothing and Kain immediately understood and did not ask anything else.

First, his eyes moved over the huge body of the creature, despite removing the Core and Eclipse Essence, there was still a large amount of valuable material left.

Skin, bones, teeth, flesh, and the entire body of this Level 50 monster.

”Don’t you want anything from it?” He turned his head toward the Child of Light.

”From this?” Kain’s eyes stopped on the huge crack that had appeared between the Leviathan’s armor plates.

Under the monster’s natural armor, the thick gray skin was still intact.

Even after a battle where several Divine skills, the Midday Judgment, and Eclipse Energy had struck the creature’s body, a large part of it only had a few surface cuts.

He thought for a few moments and then said.

”Its skin.”

”The skin?”

Kain nodded.

Lian nodded and the Glacial Reaper Claw formed on his right hand.

Ice came out from his forearm and turned into curved blades.

The Leviathan’s skin was so thick that an ordinary weapon would probably have a lot of trouble cutting it off, but the ice claw went into the flesh.

He carefully chose the path of the cut and removed one large and continuous piece for him.

A few minutes later, he removed the thick and heavy skin from the body, large enough to cover a large part of a room.

”Heavier than I thought.” Kain touched it.

”Don’t worry, your storage space can’t complain.”

”Fortunately.”

The skin disappeared and the Child of Light placed it inside his storage space.

The young Vorhelm looked at the rest of the body again, this time his thoughts went directly to the Devouring Egg, he felt that the Egg would not be unhappy with this decision.

With one movement, he put the rest of the Leviathan’s body into his storage space.

The dock that had been sinking under the weight of the body only moments ago suddenly became empty.

When they returned to the priest, the man raised his hand without asking about the corpse.

A small object appeared in the palm of his hand.

Kain, who expected a map or something to help them find their way, stared at it for a few seconds.

It was a ship, or more accurately, a very small model of a ship, almost the size of a palm.

It had a thin white body, without sails or a mast, and very thin blue lines moved along both sides of it like flowing water.

”What is this?” Kain bent down to look at it
