I Can Devour Monsters' SSS Talents

Chapter 510: The Priests Really Thought They Could Stop Me ( Bonus Chapter )

But before the attack could hit, he disappeared.

[Ashen Thunder Step.]

Boom!

Thunder ran across the stone floor, but right before the exit point, the first sun became brighter.

A white trail of Lian’s movement appeared across the square.

The priest turned his head, another beam went exactly toward the point where he planned to appear.

The young Vorhelm’s eyes narrowed slightly, at the last moment, his body turned into ash among the thunder.

He changed the exit point.

KABOOM!

The beam exploded his previous position and he appeared several meters to the side again.

Dust passed beside his face.

”Interesting.” Lian looked at the place where the attack hit, this man had been able to predict his path.

Was this his own power or was it part of the array? His own guess was the second one.

”Your speed is useless against light, nothing is above the judgment of light, you infidel barbarian!” The priest said coldly.

”I said interesting, not that it was enough.” The young Vorhelm disappeared and appeared in front of him a moment later.

His fist moved forward and the priest did not have enough time to fully defend himself, but before the attack landed, a white shield appeared in front of his body.

BOOOOM!

The man was pushed several meters back, but he did not fall, at the same time, to his surprise, the other two priests also slid backward.

”Oh? So that’s how it is.” Lian immediately understood, it was clear from one look that his attack had affected all three of them even though he had hit only one.

The force of his attack had been divided between them, this was probably also part of the mechanism and was somewhat similar to the ability of his armor.

His eyes moved between the three of them.

”So as long as all three of you are standing, you divide the damage between yourselves.”

”And what? You think you can break what our ancestors built with a few attacks? How stupid.” The younger priest said angrily.

”We shall see.” The young Vorhelm nodded.

The priest’s expression changed, he did not know why, but this infidel’s confidence was annoying him.

But Lian did not attack again either, his eyes moved toward the towers, the three suns, and the grooves on the ground.

He had to understand how this structure worked.

Kain was fighting two soldiers, he pushed one back with a beam of light, but the other one used the pressure of the second sun and came closer from the side.

He placed his hand on the ground, a wave of light spread out in a half-circle and pushed the attacker back.

But at that moment, a white beam came toward Kain from one of the mirrors.

He placed his own light in front of him and the two streams collided.

KRRRRRR!

He was pushed several meters back, but at least the beam was deflected.

His eyes stayed on the priest who had said the name of the tear for a moment.

”Anyway, what is the Tear of Witness?”

The man did not answer, both of his hands were still controlling part of the array.

Kain threw another light attack toward a soldier who was approaching, the attacker hit the wall.

”At least shouldn’t you tell me what entered my body? Maybe I will decide to give it back to you.”

”It entered you by itself?” The priest’s expression truly changed, as if he really did not like that sentence.

”Yeah.”

”It...chose you?” The man’s focus almost left the array for a moment.

”I thought you knew this part, besides, I already told you.”

”Idiot... I thought you were talking nonsense, that thing should not even have awareness to be able to choose you!” The priest stared at him in disbelief and anger.

In the report that had reached them, there had been no mention that the tear itself had chosen an outsider, and all the scenarios were based on the idea that someone had forcibly absorbed the tear.

He had already heard this infidel say that the tear had chosen him, but he thought he was only talking nonsense.

”No... That is impossible.”

”The Tear does not choose.”

”It is an object of the Divine Of Light. It does not possess a will of its own.”

”You are lying.”

”You must be lying!”

The priest was in such disbelief that he even started speaking nonsense.

Lian, who was moving a few meters away from one of the towers, heard the sentence, his movement slowed for a fraction of a second.

So the Tear of Witness should not be able to choose its own host? Then what exactly had happened to Kain that day in those ruins?

”So what was it supposed to do?” Kain immediately asked as well, he was confused too.

”You swallowed it and now the light thinks you are the bearer of a covenant! It is impossible for the tear to have chosen you!” The priest shouted angrily.

”Shut up!” The elder priest shouted angrily, it was clear that those words were not supposed to become public, and after his warning, the other priest went silent.

Lian and Kain looked at each other, they had not gotten enough information and there were still many questions.

”Anyway, you have to accept that the tear chose me, I already told you, it is not my fault that your god preferred me over you useless people.” Kain used the same taunt again.

”Do not speak of the Divine Of Light with that filthy mouth!” The younger priest said with fanatical anger.

In any case, the priests continued their attacks and the young Vorhelm once again focused his attention on the array, he had to shut this thing down.

[True Sequence.]

For a moment, the world in front of his eyes changed, clear mana paths appeared.

The energy did not start from the bodies of the priests, the beam entered the first priest from the first tower, went from him to the first sun, and then was transferred through one of the grooves in the square to the second tower.

From the second tower to the second priest, then to the second sun and after that to the third tower, the third priest, and finally the third sun.

It was some kind of closed circuit where the three priests were only control points, if he hit one of them with force, the other two would divide the pressure.

If he attacked the suns directly, the towers would supply their energy again.

So he did not need to destroy any of them, he only needed to break the path.

Lian held his palm toward the ground.

[Frost Dominion.]

This time, no huge wall came out of the ground, instead, a thin sheet of ice formed in front of one of the towers.

With more precise control, Lian polished its surface, making something like a mirror.

The priests did not understand his goal and seemed to be thinking about what exactly he wanted to do.

At that moment, a beam came out of the tower but instead of reaching the sun directly ...it hit the sheet of ice.

The angle changed.

The white line passed beside the first sun and hit the third sun directly.

The circuit suddenly broke!

BOOOOOOM!

All three suns shook.

The priests lost their balance for a moment.

”What did you do?!” One of them shouted angrily.

The young Vorhelm did not answer, and his eyes stayed on the sheet of ice, the goal was simple, he had changed the flow and path of those beams.

And in general, he had caused the array’s process to break down.

In any case, the sheet of ice began to melt, the light was too powerful.

But there was no need to worry, so what if one was destroyed once? He could simply make another one.

A second sheet formed and then he made a third one.

This time the priests understood, one of them raised his hand and a white beam went toward the ice sheets.

Lian changed their positions, two beams collided in the air and the array shook again, but it still had not broken.

Kain looked at one of the towers at the same moment, the tower that he himself had activated earlier with his light, it was not clear what he was thinking about, but it seemed an idea had come to his mind.

”Lian.”

”What?”

”This thing recognizes my light, right?”

”Try it.” Lian looked at Kain for a moment and then understood.

Without asking anything else, Kain raised both hands toward the tower and golden-white light came out of his palms.

”Don’t!” The priest shouted.

It was too late.

Kain’s light hit the mirror plate, but unlike the other attacks, the mirror did not push it back, it absorbed it and all the lines on the tower became golden for a moment.

The priest who was controlling that tower suddenly opened his eyes.

”No...”

His mana connection was cut off and suddenly the first sun shook.

This was the chance.

[Ashen Thunder Step.]

Boom!

Lian disappeared.

The priests tried to identify his movement like before and with the help of the array, but one of the towers was no longer under the priest’s control and the result was simple, the array had become weaker.

They could no longer predict Lian’s movement using this skill.

The white trail became incomplete for a moment and Lian’s body turned into ash during the movement, then a moment later he appeared in front of the first priest.

The man only had enough time to raise his staff.

”Have a good sleep.” The young Vorhelm placed his palm on the man’s chest.

Boom!
