I Can Devour Monsters' SSS Talents

Kain carefully looked at the details of the Ancient-ranked treasure he had obtained, this was an Ancient-ranked treasure!

He had never thought that one day he would have the chance to even touch something like this, and now? This treasure completely belonged to him.

And the more he read its explanations, the bigger his smile became.

”Were all the difficulties worth it or not?” Lian looked at him and asked.

”Of course! This thing is both an offensive and defensive artifact, and it perfectly matches my path of Light, I can’t even describe how valuable it is and I am truly grateful to you, without your help I couldn’t have obtained it,” Kain said from the bottom of his heart.

Obtaining the Witness Sphere without the help of his best friend was completely impossible for him, it could even be said that Lian had carried most of the difficulties himself.

And this made him feel bad, Lian had gone through all the difficulties, but in the end, the treasure had gone to him.

”You’re welcome and what’s with that look?”

”You did all the work and in the end this treasure came to me.”

”Don’t worry, it’s not like this trip was completely worthless for me,” the young Vorhelm smiled, he had obtained his first Core.

And besides that, he had also understood to some extent how he could obtain more Cores, if his guess was correct, to form more Cores he needed to find the Essences of other demons.

And the Essences of demons could help him form more Cores, although it was not going to be easy.

And facing demons was the hardest part, he had no chance against a demon, in fact, even an Overlord might have no chance alone.

Until he reached at least the third evolution, it was unlikely that he would gain the power to directly face a demon.

”Besides, I found out how this city was destroyed,” he then added.

”Really? How?” Kain asked with extreme curiosity, ever since he had read the Sphere’s information, he had been shocked about how a city with such a treasure had been able to fall.

”A demon attacked this city, the Demon Of Eclipse.”

”A....demon?” The Child of Light’s eyes widened, he knew about demons, monsters that even Overlords feared.

Creatures that were so powerful that they could destroy continents.

Such a creature had attacked this city...?

”The people of this city tried to fight it using the Witness Sphere, but you can see the result, they didn’t even come close to defeating it.”

Kain became silent, a long silence... and after that he let out a sigh, only a few minutes ago he had been excited about the Ancient treasure he had obtained.

But now he understood that there was a level of power against which even such a treasure was worthless...

Could he also reach that level one day?

But unlike him, Lian was calm, he was shocked by the power of a demon, but this only made him more determined to work hard and become stronger, he also wanted to become that powerful one day, even stronger!

Besides, a demon was definitely powerful, but he knew of an even more powerful being... his own father.

At that moment, outside the shrine, something changed.

The battle between Region Three and Region Six had still not ended.

But the black material that had disappeared from different parts of the city was no longer seen anywhere.

The dried humans who had turned into statues fell apart and turned into ashes.

Even the surface of the black area below the city had changed, gray cracks had appeared on it.

A Region Six soldier who was hiding behind a broken wall suddenly felt the ground shake.

Boom!

The man raised his head for a moment and at that moment the second shake came.

Boom!

This time more people noticed it.

”Wait...” One of the Region Three priests lowered his hand, he did not know why but he suddenly had a very bad feeling.

A sound came from the black area.

Krrrrrrrrrk...

Everyone turned their heads in that direction.

One of the ships that had been stuck there for several hundred years....had moved....?

But not because of the wind, and at that moment its rotten body slowly rose.

The wooden parts of the ship started breaking under the pressure of something lifting it from below.

”What is under there...?” one of the Region Six soldiers said in a very quiet voice.

The ship rose higher and then....KRRRRRRRRRK!

Its huge body broke in the middle and the two halves of the ship fell to both sides, and the black surface below it split open from inside.

Something came out.

At first, only a huge black blade that was taller than a several-story building could be seen, then a second blade appeared and suddenly more of the surface broke and....the creature’s head appeared.

A Region Three priest unconsciously took one step back.

The monster’s body continued rising.

Ten meters.

Twenty.

Thirty.

When its main body came out of the black area, even the battle between the two regions completely stopped for a few seconds.

The creature was at least sixty meters long.

Its body was long, something between a huge sea creature and a reptile that should never have lived in water.

Black and semi-transparent plates covered its entire back.

In some places, rusty chains had been fused into the armor of its body.

Part of an old ship’s body was attached to its side and even pieces of stone pillars were sticking out from between its black plates.

Six long limbs came out from under its body, they looked more like fins than legs.

Bent joints with hook-like claws that created cracks several dozen meters long whenever they touched the black surface.

But its head was worse than everything else, it had no eyes and instead, twelve small white holes were placed around its skull.

They lit up one after another.

One.

Two.

Three.

Until twelve.

Then its mouth opened, but not from the two sides of its face, instead, a crack formed from under its jaw to the center of its chest...the two front halves of its body moved apart and several rows of black and transparent teeth were revealed deep inside.

At the end of the creature’s throat, a faint white Light was shining, Lights that it had swallowed over the centuries.

[Leviathan Of Eclipse ]

[Rank: Fallen.]

[Level: 50.]

The face of one of the Region Three priests became pale.

”This monster...has descended from Hell!”

The commander of the Region Six unit, who until moments ago had been shouting orders to attack, slowly swallowed.

Neither of them looked at the human enemy in front of them anymore.

The Leviathan turned its head, the twelve white holes on its face turned toward the city and then one of its huge limbs rose.

”Fall back!” the Region Three commander suddenly shouted.

KAAAAAAABOOOOOOM!

The creature’s limb landed on the docks, the stone that had survived for centuries collapsed in an instant and dozens of meters of the docks disappeared.

A wave of stone, dust and black material was thrown into the air.

Several soldiers who did not have time to escape were thrown around like dolls.

Region Three and Region Six understood one thing completely, their main enemy was no longer each other, now it was this monster!

Inside the shrine....BOOOOOM!

The entire huge space shook and Kain immediately raised his head.

”What was that?”

”I have no idea, but it doesn’t seem like something good,” Lian looked at him and answered calmly.
