Myriad Heavens: Rise of the Rune God

Chapter 43: Chapter 43: Sixteen Years in Moments (Flashback)

Note: The following events occurred during the two-week training period in the Pocket Universe, spanning 16 subjective years... Like a timelapse.

Part 1: Runar’s Breakthrough - Month 8 (Day 1 Outside)

The training complex hummed with concentrated energy as Runar sat in the deepest meditation chamber. Eight subjective months had passed since they’d entered the Pocket Universe—barely a real-world days (about 3-4 minutes).

Celestia was in an adjacent chamber, consolidating her recent physique breakthrough to Peak Divine Grade. That gave Runar time to focus on his own cultivation bottleneck.

He’d been stuck at Meteor Forging 3333/3333 for over a month now. Not due to lack of foundation—his foundation was diamond-hard, perfected beyond measure. The problem was something else entirely.

I’ve been thinking about this wrong, Runar realized, his 100 parallel thought streams all converging on the same conclusion. I completed the Meteor Forging stage of my technique perfectly. But I never designed the Satellite Orbit portion. I’ve been trying to break through using incomplete methodology.

His Eternal Nexus Ascension technique was a masterwork—Peak Supreme Grade bordering on Primordial. The Meteor Forging stage had created 3,333 compressed qi spheres orbiting his black hole dantian, each one a perfect construction of condensed energy.

But what came next?

Standard Satellite Orbit cultivation involved arranging those spheres into stable orbits, creating layers of defense and power. Most cultivators managed 7-9 orbital layers. Geniuses achieved 12-15.

Runar had 3,333 spheres.

Traditional orbital patterns won’t work. The mathematics don’t scale. I need something else. Something that complements the black hole’s gravitational nature while continuously refining and densifying my qi...

His Runic Omniscient Eyes activated, examining his own dantian structure in microscopic detail. The black hole core pulsed with gravitational authority. The 3,333 spheres orbited in chaotic patterns, held in check by his perfect qi control but lacking true structure.

Then he saw it.

Synchronized orbital formations. Not random orbits. Not layered shells. But perfectly synchronized groups that create gravitational resonance patterns, continuously compressing and refining qi through their interaction with the black hole’s pull.

”That’s it,” he breathed.

He pulled out jade slips, began calculating furiously. His heaven-defying comprehension and 20,000% thinking speed made the mathematics trivial, but the complexity was staggering.

Instead of creating defensive constellations or runic formations, he would arrange his 3,333 spheres into synchronized orbital groups—each group of 101 spheres moving in perfect mathematical harmony, their combined gravitational interaction with the black hole creating continuous qi refinement and densification.

Satellite Orbit Stage 1: First synchronized orbit group of 101 spheres

Satellite Orbit Stage 2-33: Additional synchronized groups, each of 101 spheres

33 stages total. Each stage requiring 101 spheres in perfect synchronization. By Stage 33, all 3,333 spheres would be moving in harmonious resonance, creating a self-refining qi system that continuously improved his energy quality and density.

This isn’t just cultivation advancement. This is creating a perpetual refinement engine inside my dantian.

Over the next two weeks of subjective time, Runar designed the complete Satellite Orbit stage of his Eternal Nexus Ascension technique.

Harmonic Orbit Formation - Satellite Orbit Stage (33 Stages)

Core Concept: Transform 3,333 qi spheres into 33 synchronized orbital groups (101 spheres each) that create gravitational resonance patterns with the black hole core.

Stage Structure:

Each stage adds one synchronized orbital group of 101 spheres

Groups orbit at different distances and velocities

Mathematical harmony creates continuous qi compression

Each complete orbit cycle refines and densifies all qi in dantian

Multiple groups create resonance cascades that amplify refinement effects

Key Benefits:

Continuous passive qi refinement (even while sleeping).

Exponentially increasing qi density with each stage

Perfect stability through gravitational balance

Self-correcting system that automatically maintains harmony

Each stage doubles cultivation speed of previous stage

Breakthrough Method:

Each group of 101 spheres must achieve perfect synchronization—moving as one unit with zero deviation. The process requires absolute spatial sense, perfect qi control, and flawless mathematical calculation.

Estimated time per stage: 1-2 weeks of continuous effort.

Cultivation Speed Multiplier:

Stage 1: ×300,000 (double the Meteor Forging stage) Stage 16: ×4,800,000 (multiplicative scaling) Stage 33: ×76,800,000 (theoretical maximum)

Unique Features:

Qi quality improves continuously without active cultivation

Density increases make each particle of qi more powerful

System provides foundation for future realm breakthroughs

Harmonics can be felt by the wielder, providing combat rhythm advantages

Runar smiled at the completed design. Now this is worthy of being called the next stage of Eternal Nexus Ascension. Simple, elegant, and perfectly suited to my black hole foundation.

He began the breakthrough.

The Breakthrough Process

Three subjective weeks in Pocket Universe.

Runar’s consciousness descended into his dantian. The black hole core pulsed before him, a singularity of compressed power. The 3,333 qi spheres orbited in loose formation, waiting.

”Begin first synchronization group,” he commanded.

First Orbital Group: 101 spheres

He reached out with his spatial sense, selecting 101 specific spheres from the innermost orbits. His Space Law—at 100% comprehension—guided the arrangement.

The spheres began moving, slowly at first, then with increasing precision. He calculated their exact positions, velocities, and trajectories to achieve perfect synchronization.

Sphere 1 at angle 0°, velocity v1, distance r1...

Sphere 2 at angle 3.564°, velocity v2, distance r1.001...

Each sphere needed perfect positioning. Perfect timing. Perfect resonance with both the black hole and its fellow group members.

Hours passed. Days.

Finally, after one week of continuous calculation and adjustment, the first group locked into harmony.

Click.

It was like feeling a combination lock open. The 101 spheres moved as one perfect unit, their combined gravitational interaction creating a resonance wave that compressed qi flowing through their orbital path.

BREAKTHROUGH SUCCESSFUL

Previous Realm: Meteor Forging Stage 3333/3333

New Realm: Satellite Orbit Stage 1/33

Eternal Nexus Ascension - Satellite Orbit Stage 1 COMPLETE

New Cultivation Speed: ×300,000 base

Runar opened his eyes in the meditation chamber. The breakthrough was complete.

He examined his dantian with satisfaction. The first synchronized orbital group moved in perfect harmony around his black hole core, creating continuous qi refinement. He could feel his energy quality improving in real-time, each particle becoming denser, more potent.

”Stage 1 complete,” he murmured. ”32 more to go. But not yet—I need to consolidate and balance everything first.”

Month 10 (Still Day 1 Outside)

Runar had spent the next two months (about 1 minute real time) continuing his Law comprehension and body tempering while Celestia focused on perfecting her Meteor Forging cultivation.

He’d been systematically working through elemental Laws—Cloud Law, Storm Law, Thunder Law, Rain Law, Snow Law, Starfire Law, Solar Law, Lunar Law—tempering his body with each one individually.

It was effective. Each Law added new capabilities, new resistances, new strengths.

But as he sat down to begin Lunar Law tempering, a thought struck him with the force of revelation.

Wait. Why am I doing this one at a time? Am i dumb, or it is the author that is dumb for not thinking of a simpler solution?

AN: Its your generation that is dumb.

He’d already created the Universal Fusion Algorithm—a framework that could coordinate 184 Laws simultaneously. He’d used it to create his attack technique against the demons.

Why not use it for body tempering?

The more he thought about it, the more obvious it became. Tempering with individual Laws was effective, but Law Fusion would be exponentially more powerful. Instead of Fire Law OR Water Law, he could temper with Fire-Water Fusion Law. Instead of sequential improvements, he could achieve synergistic evolution.

”How did I not think of this earlier?” Runar said aloud, genuinely frustrated with himself and the author.

He immediately pulled up his Universal Fusion Algorithm design and began adapting it.

The Universal Fusion Body Tempering Technique

Core Concept: Automatically fuse all 100% mastered Laws and use the fusion energy to temper body, qi, and soul simultaneously.

Mechanism:

Whenever a new Law reaches 100% mastery, the Algorithm immediately integrates it into the existing fusion. The combined fusion energy flows through body, qi pathways, and soul simultaneously. Each cell, each meridian, each particle of spiritual essence is tempered by the complete fusion. Effects are cumulative and synergistic—each new Law multiplies effectiveness rather than adding linearly

Automatic Operation:

Runs as background process. No conscious effort required after initial setup. Continues even during sleep or other activities. Self-optimizing based on body’s current needs

Visual Effect:

Body transforms into starlight form during tempering. Appears as humanoid figure made of pure luminous energy Intensity increases with number of fused Laws

Runar spent three days redesigning the Algorithm to handle body tempering. The calculations were complex—ensuring fusion energy distributed evenly, preventing any single Law from overwhelming the others, maintaining perfect balance across all three aspects of cultivation.

Finally, he activated the new technique.

Immediately, his body transformed into starlight.

Every cell ignited with fusion energy—not just one Law, but all 700 he’d currently mastered flowing together in perfect harmony. Fire-Water-Wind-Earth-Lightning-Ice-Metal-Wood-Light-Darkness-Cloud-Storm-Thunder and hundreds more, all fused into a single overwhelming force.

The pain was indescribable.

Every cell was being broken down and rebuilt simultaneously. His bones crystallized and liquified and gasified and solidified again in rapid cycles. His blood became plasma, his meridians became spatial corridors, his soul blazed with conceptual authority.

But his parallel thought streams handled the pain, distributing it across 100 consciousness partitions so no single stream felt overwhelmed.

Three hours later, the process completed its first cycle.

Runar examined his body, stunned at the results.

This is... this is what I should have been doing from the beginning.

The improvement wasn’t additive—it was multiplicative. His physical strength had increased by a factor of 50. His qi density had tripled. His soul resilience had doubled.

And this was just the first cycle, with only 700 Laws.

As I master more Laws, the fusion becomes stronger. And the technique automatically incorporates new Laws as soon as I comprehend them to 100%. This is perfect.

He set the technique to run continuously as a background process, then returned to his Law comprehension with renewed enthusiasm.

Months 10-20: Accelerated Law Mastery

With the new body tempering technique running automatically, Runar focused entirely on comprehension.

He worked through new elemental variants:

Starfire Law (100%) - fusion of fire and stellar energy Solar Law (100%) - principles of suns and fusion reactions Lunar Law (100%) - reflection, cycles, and tidal forces Storm Law (100%) - atmospheric chaos and pressure systems Thunder Law (100%) - sound-pressure waves and sonic force Rain Law (100%) - water distribution and cyclical flow Snow Law (100%) - crystalline water structures and cold Cloud Law (100%) - gas-liquid phase transitions

Then he moved to conceptual Laws beyond the basic ones he’d already mastered:

Light Law (100%) - radiation, revelation, purification Darkness Law (100%) - absorption, concealment, void-adjacent Shadow Law (100%) - absence given form, the space between light Radiance Law (100%) - intensified light, overwhelming brightness Heat Law (100%) - thermal energy transfer and molecular excitation Cold Law (100%) - entropy suppression, cessation of movement

Then he discovered physical constant Laws—principles governing reality at its most fundamental level:

Law of Inertia (100%) - objects resist changes in motion Law of Acceleration (100%) - force causes proportional acceleration Action-Reaction Law (100%) - forces come in equal and opposite pairs Conservation of Momentum (100%) - total momentum remains constant Conservation of Energy (100%) - energy cannot be created or destroyed Conservation of Mass (100%) - mass remains constant in closed systems Entropy Law (100%) - disorder tends to increase over time Causality Law (100%) - cause precedes effect in temporal sequence

Each new Law mastered to 100% was automatically integrated into his Universal Fusion Body Tempering Technique.

The fusion grew more complex, more powerful, more comprehensive with each addition.

His body remained in constant starlight form during meditation sessions—a humanoid figure blazing with the combined authority of hundreds of Laws.

By Month 20, Runar had mastered 850 Laws to 100%.

His body tempering had reached levels that defied description. Every cell contained trace amounts of 850 different Law energies, all working in perfect fusion harmony.
