Myriad Heavens: Rise of the Rune God

Chapter 5: Chapter 5: Runic Synthesis 2

MERIDIAN REINFORCEMENT:

The 108 minor meridians, 12 organ meridians, and 8 extraordinary vessels would all receive structural enhancement. Runar created compound runes combining all three geometric shapes:

Inner walls: Hexagonal runes for efficiency, allowing maximum qi flow with minimum resistance Mid-layer: Circular runes for pressure resistance, ensuring meridians could handle massive energy influx without rupturing Outer walls: Triangular runes for structural stability, anchoring meridians to surrounding tissue

The runes wouldn’t just sit static—they’d be living structures, integrated into the meridian walls themselves. As cultivation advanced and qi flow increased, the runes would actually shrink, becoming more dense and compact. Smaller runes meant tighter structure, which meant greater strength.

A meridian at Stardust Awakening might have runes 1mm in size. At Planetary Core, those same runes would be 0.1mm. At Stellar Ignition, 0.01mm. Eventually they’d be molecular-level, then atomic-level.

The smaller the runes, the more of them could fit in the same space. More runes meant exponentially greater reinforcement.

But the meridians would need to be expanded first to accommodate the enhanced energy flow.

Runar designed expansion protocols: the hexagonal runes would push outward from the inside while circular runes pulled from the outside, gradually widening each meridian’s diameter by 200-300%. The triangular runes would maintain stability during the expansion, preventing collapse.

The result: meridians that were wider, stronger, more efficient, and capable of handling energy densities that would destroy a normal cultivator’s body.

ORGAN ENHANCEMENT:

The twelve organ meridians connected directly to their corresponding organs. Runar designed runic structures that would permeate the organs themselves:

Lung & Large Intestine: Circular runes for optimal gas/waste exchange

Stomach & Spleen: Hexagonal runes for efficient nutrient processing

Heart & Small Intestine: Triangular runes for structural integrity under constant pressure

Bladder & Kidney: Combined circular-hexagonal runes for filtration efficiency

Pericardium & Triple Burner: Spherical runes for energy distribution

Gallbladder & Liver: All three shapes in complex arrays for detoxification and storage

As qi flowed through these enhanced organ meridians, it would simultaneously refine the organs themselves. Impurities would be broken down at the cellular level and expelled. The organs would become purer, denser, more efficient versions of themselves.

And that refinement process will extend to the blood, Runar realized with growing excitement.

Blood flowing through enhanced organs would itself become refined. Over time, as cultivation progressed, impurities in the blood would be eliminated entirely. The hemoglobin would achieve perfect efficiency. Eventually, the blood would begin taking on a golden hue—a sign of absolute purity.

ACUPOINT DEVELOPMENT:

The 365 acupoints scattered throughout the body were natural energy nexuses. Traditional cultivation used them as simple storage points—fill them with qi, move to the next one.

Wasteful and freaking unimaginative.

Runar designed a revolutionary approach:

Each acupoint would be enhanced with all three runic geometries, creating microscopic chambers that could not only store energy but actively refine it. The cultivation method would:

Enlarge the acupoint using circular expansion runes

Fill it with absorbed heaven and earth qi

Compress the qi using triangular compression runes while the cultivator imprinted their will upon it, transforming it into true qi

Enlarge again (the runic structure allows expansion without breaking)

Fill and compress again

Each cycle would produce purer, denser, more potent true qi. The process would repeat endlessly—enlarge, compress, enlarge, compress—with each iteration increasing the acupoint’s capacity and the qi’s purity.

The hexagonal efficiency runes would ensure zero energy waste during the compression cycles.

And these acupoints will be connected via blood vessels, Runar thought, moving to the next critical component.

BLOOD VESSEL INTEGRATION:

This was perhaps his most radical innovation.

The circulatory system was the body’s highway—blood vessels reaching every single cell, forming a complete network from heart to extremities and back. Traditional cultivation completely ignored this resource.

But blood vessels can carry more than just blood.

Runar designed a dual-purpose system:

The blood vessels would be enhanced with the same runic structures as the meridians—hexagonal inner walls for efficiency, circular mid-layers for pressure resistance, triangular outer walls for stability.

But then he added something new: Runic Filters.

At strategic points throughout the vascular system, Runar placed microscopic hexagonal filter structures. These weren’t physical barriers—they were runic constructs that would allow blood cells and nutrients to pass freely while filtering out qi impurities.

As qi circulated through the blood vessels (traveling alongside the blood itself), these filters would constantly purify it. Impurities would be isolated, broken down, and expelled through the skin as waste.

The result: qi purity that increases continuously just from circulation alone.

And because the blood vessels reached everywhere—every organ, every muscle, every cell—they would serve as the unifying network connecting all cultivation systems.

The 108 minor meridians handled broad qi distribution. The 12 organ meridians connected to vital organs. The 8 extraordinary vessels provided deep reservoirs. But the blood vessels? They ensured that every single cell in the body received perfectly pure qi.

That’s unity. That’s true integration.

Runar added one more innovation: the enhanced blood vessels would accelerate qi circulation by 1000%. What took normal cultivators hours would take him seconds.

CELLULAR REFINEMENT:

With qi now flowing to every cell via the blood vessel network, Runar designed the final piece of the body cultivation aspect:

The qi wouldn’t just nourish cells—it would refine them.

The process was elegant: qi would enter a cell, identify impurities in the cellular structure (malformed proteins, accumulated toxins, damaged organelles), and systematically destroy them. Simultaneously, the same qi would heal the cell, rebuilding it stronger and purer than before.

Destroy and heal. Break down and rebuild. Over and over, millions of times per second across billions of cells.

Each cycle would make the cells slightly more resilient, slightly more efficient. Accumulated over time, the effect would be transformative—a body refined to the absolute peak of its potential.

The triangular stability runes would prevent the destruction from going too far. The circular pressure runes would ensure the healing qi reached every part of the cell. The hexagonal efficiency runes would make the entire process consume minimal energy.

Runar stepped back, examining the body cultivation framework he’d designed.

It was comprehensive. Where traditional techniques opened 108 meridians and called it done, his technique would:

Open and enhance 108 minor meridians, 12 organ meridians, and 8 extraordinary vessels Reinforce and expand all meridian structures with adaptive runic geometry Develop 365 acupoints into active refinement chambers Integrate the entire circulatory system as a cultivation network Implement continuous qi filtration via runic filters Refine every cell in the body through destroy-heal cycles Purify blood to golden perfection Strengthen organs to transcendent levels

And that’s just the body cultivation aspect. I haven’t even started on the soul and mind yet.

But he was running out of time in this session. His infant body could only handle so much mental strain, even with the HDCM running.

I’ll finish the soul and mind integration next session, Runar decided. But I can at least outline it now.

He created a new section in his workspace:

SOUL & MIND CULTIVATION - PRELIMINARY DESIGN

The brain was the bridge between body and soul. Enhanced blood vessels would deliver perfectly pure qi to the brain, but that alone wasn’t enough.

Runar designed runic structures to be implemented directly into neurons:

Hexagonal efficiency runes: Allow neurons to process information faster with less energy

Circular protection runes: Shield neurons from damage during cultivation breakthroughs Triangular stability runes: Maintain neural network integrity under extreme mental strain

The enhanced neurons would multiply naturally, increasing brain processing power. More neurons meant more connections. More connections meant greater intelligence, faster thinking, perfect memory.

But the brain was just hardware. The mind—consciousness itself—required deeper work.

The technique would enhance three aspects simultaneously:

Spiritual Sea: The dantian of the mind, where mental energy accumulated. Runar’s technique would expand it constantly, creating vast reserves of mental power.

Soul Crystallization: The soul would gradually solidify, transforming from ephemeral energy into a crystalline structure of pure consciousness. Harder to damage, easier to strengthen, capable of existing independently of the body at high enough realms.

Mind Depth: The cultivator’s thoughts would become deeper—capable of processing more complex concepts, holding more simultaneous considerations, achieving insights that normal minds couldn’t grasp.

All three would be interconnected through the same blood vessel network that unified body cultivation. Pure qi flowing to the brain would nourish all three aspects simultaneously.

Perfect synergy. Body, Mind, and Soul, all advancing together.

[WARNING: SESSION TIME LIMIT APPROACHING]

Runar glanced at the timer. He’d been in the Comprehension Space for almost two hours subjective time—twice his previous limit, but the HDCM’s improvements were allowing him to push further.

Still, he needed to wrap up.

I’ve designed the foundation. The actual cultivation method—the step-by-step process—I’ll finalize next session. For now, I need to save this and prepare the integration protocols.

He compiled all his work into a single coherent structure—a cultivation technique framework that was 80% complete. The body cultivation was fully designed. The soul and mind cultivation needed refinement. The synergy protocols needed to be written. The breakthrough requirements needed to be calculated.

But the foundation was solid.

[TECHNIQUE FRAMEWORK SAVED: ETERNAL NEXUS ASCENSION]

[COMPLETION: 80%]

[ESTIMATED FINAL GRADE: EXTREME PEAK SUPREME (Approaching Primordial)]

[WARNING: Further work required before cultivation can begin]

Runar smiled despite his exhaustion.

Next session, I finish this. Then I can finally start cultivating.

[FORCEFUL EXIT IN 10 SECONDS]

Reality began to blur at the edges.

Just one more thing, Runar thought quickly. I need to name the special statuses this technique will grant.

He rapidly drafted a list based on the runic foundation he’d created:

RUNIC STATUSES (Preliminary):

Runic Fortress (Body enhancement) Runic Overlord (Attack power scaling) Runic Sage (Comprehension boost) Runic Synthesis (Qi/Body/Soul synergy)

I’ll refine those next time too. They need to be more specific, tied directly to the technique’s—

[TIME EXPIRED - EMERGENCY EXIT]

Reality snapped back with unusual force.

Runar gasped—actually gasped, his one-month-old body drawing a sharp breath as his consciousness slammed back into it. The transition had never been that abrupt before.

Pushed too hard, he realized, his baby body trembling slightly from the strain. Two hours was too much.

But it had been worth it.

He lay in his crib, mind buzzing with the designs he’d created, the foundation he’d laid. His technique wasn’t finished yet—probably needed another session or two to complete and test everything—but the framework was there.

The Eternal Nexus Ascension, he thought drowsily, exhaustion pulling at him. A technique that will rewrite what cultivation means.

His mother would be checking on him soon. He should rest, recover, let his brain process everything he’d done.

Tomorrow, Runar promised himself as sleep began to claim him. Tomorrow I’ll finish it. And then...

Then he would begin his true journey.

The system pulsed softly in acknowledgment, and Runar Cross—one month old and already designing cultivation techniques that surpassed anything in history—drifted into deep, dreamless sleep.
