Myriad Heavens: Rise of the Rune God

Chapter 42: Chapter 42: Final Years and Legacy Real World Interlude

Day 5 - Gifting the Techniques

Five days into the two-week training period (about 5.5 subjective years for Runar and Celestia), both families gathered for dinner at the Cross household.

Runar and Celestia now looked around 10-11 years old—the gradual growth was becoming impossible to ignore, but the parents had accepted it as continuous physique awakening.

After dinner, as everyone relaxed in the living room, Runar cleared his throat.

”Dad, Mom... Uncle Caspian, Aunt Seraphina... I have something for you.”

He pulled out four jade scrolls from his spatial storage, each one glowing with faint Supreme-grade energy.

The adults’ eyes widened.

”These are cultivation techniques,” Runar said. ”Peak Supreme Grade. I created them specifically for each of you.”

”Runar...” Jake started, but his voice caught.

”You created Supreme Grade techniques?” Caspian leaned forward, his cultivator’s senses immediately detecting the quality. ”These are legitimate... how?”

”The same way I created the Stellar Foundation Unity Method,” Runar said simply.

Ah. That secret was already out—Gaia had identified him as the creator when she elevated their family to Tier 6. The parents knew their son had created the Federation-mandatory technique. They just didn’t know the full extent of his abilities.

”Four of them?” Lirien whispered, taking the scroll Runar offered her. ”Runar, these are...”

”Tailored to each of your physiques and affinities,” Runar explained. ”Dad, yours is called Triad Nexus Ascension—it’ll fix the imbalance between your qi, body, and soul cultivation. Mom, yours is Verdant Trinity Ascension—it uses your life-attribute affinity for unified growth.”

He turned to the Stormwinds. ”Uncle Caspian, Sovereign Storm Ascension for you—handles high-energy cultivation while maintaining balance. Aunt Seraphina, Crystalline Triad Ascension—emphasizes your precision and control while strengthening body and soul.”

Seraphina unrolled her scroll, reading the first section. Her hands trembled. ”This is... this addresses every bottleneck I’ve had for decades. How did you know?”

”I analyzed your cultivation foundations,” Runar said. ”All four of you have the same problem—your original techniques only focus on qi accumulation. Your bodies and souls haven’t kept pace. That’s why you’ve hit bottlenecks.”

”And these techniques fix that?” Jake asked, already reading through his scroll with scholarly intensity.

”They unify body, qi, and soul cultivation from the start. Automatic balance. No more bottlenecks caused by imbalance. And...” Runar paused. ”They should take you all the way to Universal Realm if you practice diligently.”

Silence.

”Universal Realm,” Caspian repeated faintly. ”That’s... that’s the realm of the Eight Supremes.”

”I know.” Runar met his eyes. ”You’re all talented enough to reach it. You just needed the right techniques.”

Lirien pulled Runar into a fierce hug. ”Thank you. Thank you so much.”

”We can’t possibly repay—” Seraphina started.

”You’re family,” Runar interrupted gently. ”You don’t need to repay anything. Just... get stronger. Strong enough that I never have to worry about you getting hurt.”

The adults exchanged glances, emotions warring on their faces—pride, gratitude, awe, and a touch of sadness that their child was so far beyond them already.

”We’ll start practicing tonight,” Jake said firmly, carefully rolling up his scroll. ”And Runar... we’re proud of you. So incredibly proud.”

Midnight

That night, after everyone had gone to bed, Runar activated his plan.

He waited until 2 AM—deep sleep cycle for all four adults. Then he moved. He came out of the pocket dimension.

First stop: his parents’ room.

He opened the door silently, his spatial manipulation muting any sound. Jake and Lirien slept peacefully, exhausted from the day’s excitement about their new techniques.

Runar raised his hand and created runic seals around both of them—complex formations that deepened their sleep into something beyond natural. They wouldn’t wake even if the house collapsed.

He approached his father first.

From his system inventory, he withdrew:

1 Universal Adaptation Pill (to ensure perfect compatibility)

1 Foundation Reconstruction Elixir (to rebuild his foundation)

1 Technique Imprinting Jade (for instant mastery)

The pill and elixir went directly into Jake’s dantian through spatial manipulation—no need for physical consumption. Runar immediately layered seals around them, creating a time-release mechanism. The essences would leak out slowly over the next month, integrating gradually so Jake wouldn’t notice anything except unusually smooth cultivation.

Then he pressed the Technique Imprinting Jade to Jake’s forehead.

Knowledge flooded into his father’s sleeping consciousness. The complete Triad Nexus Ascension technique, every detail, every nuance, every application—instantly understood at Perfection level mastery. When Jake studied the technique tomorrow, he’d find he already knew it, as if he’d practiced for decades.

Runar repeated the process with his mother, then moved to the Stormwind household.

Breaking into their home was trivial with his spatial abilities. Caspian and Seraphina never stirred as Runar placed them under sleep seals and administered their enhancements.

By 3 AM, all four adults had been enhanced. They’d wake tomorrow with perfect technique comprehension and hidden resources slowly rebuilding their foundations.

They’ll think they’re just naturally talented at learning the new techniques, Runar thought as he returned home. And their cultivation will accelerate so smoothly they’ll attribute it to the Supreme Grade methods.

Which is technically true. Just... with a little extra help they don’t know about.

Pocket Universe - Month 18 - The Gift

Runar and Celestia sat by a crystalline lake in the Pocket Universe—one of the more peaceful areas, perfect for important conversations.

They’d been training for 18 subjective months now (about six real-world days). Celestia had broken through to Meteor Forging 333/333, her Primordial Void Empress Physique fully awakened.

She looked about 11-12 years old now, her silver hair with purple highlights catching the artificial sunlight.

”I have something for you,” Runar said, pulling out an ornate spatial ring.

It was beautiful—crafted from what looked like frozen starlight, with void-purple runes etched along its surface. Clearly Supreme Grade or higher.

”This is...” Celestia reached for it hesitantly.

”My gift to you, for training hard all this while” Runar explained. ”I’ve been holding onto it, waiting for the right time. Now that you’ve broken through to Meteor Forging and your physique has evolved, you’re ready.”

He handed her the ring. ”Check inside.”

Celestia’s spiritual sense entered the spatial storage, and her eyes went wide.

Contents:

Heaven Piercer (Primordial Grade Spear) - length adjustable, ignores defenses below Rule level 50+ Supreme Grade spear techniques 20+, Primordial Grade technique scrolls, Law Comprehension Stones: 100 each for Ice, Water, Space, Void, Time, Realm Breakthrough Pills x10 (Supreme Grade) Various physique enhancement resources, 10 billion spirit stones, Countless Heaven and Divine Grade pills, Formation arrays, talismans, defensive treasures, Complete cultivation libraries.

”This is...” Celestia couldn’t find words. ”This is enough resources to supply a major sect for centuries.”

”It’s yours,” Runar said simply. ”These are specifically for you to use.”

She looked at the Heaven Piercer spear with particular interest—a weapon that could grow with her, that matched her Primordial Grade physique perfectly.

”The spear is soul-bound now,” Runar added. ”Once you accept it, it’ll integrate with your cultivation. And it can adjust from one centimeter to ten thousand kilometers in length.”

”That’s... incredibly versatile.” Celestia pulled the spear out, materializing it in her hand.

It felt perfect. Like it had been made specifically for her grip, her style, her essence.

”Thank you,” she said quietly. ”For everything. The training, the pills, the techniques, and now this...”

”You’re my partner,” Runar said. ”Partners help each other reach their full potential.”

She smiled. ”Then let’s keep climbing. We still have fourteen years to go.”

Months 20-48: Meteor Forging Perfection

Celestia spent the next two subjective years (28 months) perfecting her Meteor Forging cultivation as she had broken through too quickly.

With her Primordial physique and the Heaven Piercer spear, her combat ability exploded.

Month 24: Mastered the Heaven Piercer’s basic abilities Month 30: Learned 12 new Primordial-grade spear techniques Month 36: Perfected all five Laws to 100% Month 42: Began Law Fusion training Month 48: Ready for Satellite Orbit breakthrough

Her cultivation had plateaued at Meteor Forging 333/333—she could go no further without advancing realms. But her combat ability continued growing through technique mastery and Law understanding.

Final Meteor Forging Stats:

Combat Power: Can fight normal peak Star Fusion cultivators Can defeat genius-level mid-Star Fusion Law Fusion: Can combine all 5 Laws simultaneously for devastating attacks Physical Age: ~13 years old Month 52-96: Satellite Orbit Breakthrough and Beyond

The breakthrough to Satellite Orbit was less dramatic than Meteor Forging—she’d already evolved her physique to Primordial Grade.

But the power increase was still substantial.

Following Runar’s path, she condensed 333 satellite spheres, creating an orbital pattern around her Frozen Void Singularity dantian that matched astronomical precision.

Her cultivation speed increased again: ×750,000 → ×1,500,000 with Satellite Orbit refinement.

Over the next four years (48 months), she pushed relentlessly:

Month 60: Satellite Orbit Stage 100 Month 72: Satellite Orbit Stage 200

Month 84: Satellite Orbit Stage 300 Month 96: Satellite Orbit Stage 333

Another barrier. Another breakthrough.

Stage 334 → Stage 450 by Month 120.

Her combat ability now: Could fight normal peak Red Giant cultivators. Could defeat genius-level early-Red Giant opponents.

Final Years - Months 120-196: Adult Form

The last six and a half years (76 months) were spent consolidating, perfecting, and preparing for their return to the real world.

Celestia’s cultivation: Satellite Orbit Stage 450 Physical age: 13 → 21 years old Mental age: 21 years of lived experience

She’d become a woman—tall, elegant, with an otherworldly beauty that came from Primordial physique and years of cultivation. Her silver hair with purple highlights fell to her waist. Her eyes held infinite void-purple depths. Her presence commanded respect without trying.

Runar had also let his transformation slip gradually, returning to his true sixteen-year-old appearance—silver hair, starlight eyes, the build of a young god.

Celestia’s Final Stats (End of 16 Years):

Realm: Satellite Orbit 450/??? Physique: Peak Primordial Void Empress Laws Mastered: Ice, Water, Space, Void, Time (all at 100%) Combat Power: Peak Red Giant level Can fight: Normal early Supernova cultivators Physical Age: 21 Mental Age: 21 (16 years + original 5)

Runar’s Progress (End of 16 Years):

Laws Mastered: 1,049 total (approaching 3,333 goal) Combat Power: Can fight Normal peak Supernova (normal), might handle genius mid-Supernova Physical Age: 16 (his actual transformed age, but his 16 year old body looked like a 21 year old.) Multiple life evolutions from Law mastery
