Chapter 1310: Chapter 319: Enduring the Light

After all, the leader of the Russian Labor Party regime is very formidable, especially in terms of overall strategy. For the safety of the new regime, he can offer enticing chips to the Allies.

Although this is seen as ”traitorous” behavior by the previous Russian government, from a practical perspective, the current Russian leadership is not plotting changes in Russia alone, but changes that will sweep across the entire world.

Speaking of the early thoughts of the World Labor Party and their attitude towards nations, the Labor Party’s struggle is mainly marked by class distinctions in oppositional relations, with nations serving as tools for class rule. So the ultimate ideal of the Russian Labor Party is to eliminate the organizational form of ”nation.”

Therefore, at this stage, the Russian Labor Party is not merely ”Russian,” but rather an international party operating on a global scale.

From this angle, when the Russian Labor Party ceded large territories in a bid to exit World War I in history, they experienced no psychological burden. After all, what they wanted was to preserve the ”seeds” of sweeping world change, avoiding past mistakes made in Paris.

Of course, this is the mainstream understanding within the Russian Labor Party, with a shade of idealism. Certainly, some members still hold narrow views of ”nationalism” and ”statism.”

Conversely, Ernst is not intimidated by the latter, a feudal monarch like him, after all, East Africa inherently embraces such a state. The big government ideal promoted by East Africa, with extreme ”Rhine” nationalism, is of the same kind.

In conclusion, Ernst believes the Allies will inevitably negotiate peace with the Russian Labor Party, thus preventing other countries from interfering in Russia’s domestic affairs.

Take, for instance, the failure of the Paris Labor Party, which lacked the favorable conditions Russia now has, as it faced a joint siege from Prussia and its own country, ultimately being suffocated.

Upon hearing Ernst’s words, Ambassador Balarnov’s mood became solemn.

At this moment, hoping the Allies will assist Russia in quelling the rebellion is nothing but a daydream, as the Allies hate the previous Tsarist government and Russian provisional government.

Although the Allies detest the Russian Labor Party, they hate the Tsarist government and provisional government that insisted on war even more.

On the entire Eastern Front, Russia deployed nearly ten million troops, causing significant casualties for the Allies. If not for Russia, Germany and Austria would have long settled England and France.

Balarnov naturally understands these reasons, but he still sincerely stated, ”Your Majesty, the situation in Russia is now dire. I still hope your country can exert the greatest effort to eliminate Russia’s disorderly elements.”

”As I mentioned before, the Labor Party is not only a threat to Russia but a threat to the entire world. Once they succeed, they may create global upheaval, ultimately threatening East Africa.”

Facing this revolutionary force of sweeping upheaval, no reactionary force worldwide is unafraid, except Ernst.

Without his past experiences, Ernst might have feared the Russian Labor Party, but owing to his previous knowledge, Ernst doesn’t believe the Russian Labor Party can succeed. Such a regime is bound to fall short against human nature tests, eventually leading to corruption, unless talents like Vladimir or the likes of Joseph appear.

However, even though Ernst doesn’t foresee a bright future for the Russian Labor Party, East Africa must remain vigilant, particularly to counter the ideological onslaught before their corruption.

Therefore, Ernst said, ”Ambassador Balarnov, rest assured, East Africa will absolutely not endorse the Labor Party’s ideology. Next, our government will contact the United States and other countries to jointly address the threat of the Russian Labor Party.”

”Of course, East Africa can only try its best. As I mentioned before, East Africa’s influence over Russia is out of reach, and England and Germany likely won’t have much trust in us either.”

”Thus, ultimately, reclaiming national power hinges on your domestic unity. Now you should set aside differences and collectively confront this mortal enemy, the Russian Labor Party.”

Ernst was naturally referring to Russia’s nobles, bureaucrats, and capitalists, the three reactionary forces, who, if united, might possibly extinguish Russia’s flames.

At this time, Russia still has vast areas controlled by these reactionary forces. They possess money, armies, and territories but lack leadership to integrate these resources.

Ernst’s statements naturally earned Ambassador Balarnov’s gratitude, as Balarnov and other Russian political forces still hold the advantage mentality at this time.

They are unaware of how formidable their future opponent will be, considering that the Russian Labor Party could unite the majority of Russians, while Balarnov’s side is inherently small in number, harboring hundreds of individual intentions, and Ernst does not expect much from them.

Of course, such words detrimental to imperialist unity, Ernst certainly wouldn’t utter in front of Balarnov.

Despite Russia’s current chaos and even East Africa, a comparatively stable society, would likely struggle against ideological infiltration from the Labor Party, and Ernst, to some extent, doesn’t actually want to destroy the Russian Labor Party.

Though a typical feudal monarch, Ernst is well-versed in the concept that without domestic law and scholars or foreign threats, a country is perpetually in danger.

The Russian Labor Party regime can aptly play the role of ”foreign threat,” thereby catalyzing development within East Africa itself.

Historically, the most challenging issue in reform is dealing with the middle echelon in the pyramid, forming a powerful collective neither movable from above nor pushed from below, like Alexandria II’s previous reform as a typical example.

Unless someone holds a sword to their throats, they exhibit ”conscience” only upon sensing a mortal threat, but only as long as the sword remains at their throats.

With the Russian Labor Party as the sword, Ernst could tactfully adjust East Africa’s policies, similar to America during the Cold War.

Of course, one must handle the balance, or the sword might first strike Ernst himself.

Thus, Ernst has begun calculating internally how to utilize the Russian Labor Party while guarding against its infiltration into East Africa, which counts as empowering by nurturing ”pirates.”

Ultimately, this feudal remnant of Ernst still shows a little bit of a pitiful ”conscience,” for East Africa desires stability in its regime, requiring continual development, which inherently involves change. Even an imperialist nation like East Africa must learn to adapt to the times.

Given his past life experience, Ernst naturally knows how to deal with the Russian Labor Party regime, since America already provided a model. After organizing his thoughts, Ernst still considers that the Russian Labor Party isn’t terrifying.

As long as East Africa withstands the Russian Labor Party regime’s initial blazing sun, it will eventually greet its dusk and final darkness. Enduring through this brightness, the Russian Labor Party will no longer pose a threat when Ernst refers to it as a red imperialist nation.

Ernst said, ”Meanwhile, Ambassador Balarnov, it’s best for you to liaise with other countries, as East Africa wanting to assist Russia may not be viewed favorably by other nations.”

”As for Crown Prince Aleksey, you three continue to stay in East Africa for now! It’s not too late to return after Russia’s situation is finally settled.”

This counts as Ernst’s kind reminder, considering Aleksey, Maria, and Anastasia are on the Russian Labor Party’s blacklist. Returning to Russia now would lead only to a dead end.

Princess Maria, the third sister, naturally didn’t grasp Ernst’s intention. Her current concern is her parents’ and siblings’ safety, while the Russian Empire’s security is her ongoing consideration.

She voiced in a slightly choked tone, ”Your Majesty, what about my father? Please help them escape from Russia.”

Facing the helpless Russian princess before him, Ernst could only comfort her, ”There’s certainly no issue about that. We will dispatch people to make every possible effort to rescue Nicholas II, although the ultimate outcome will only follow God’s...or heaven’s will.”
