High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 2731: Chapter 952: The Second Punishment

Su Shijun’s hand was fragrant, soft, and light.

Just lightly resting on his shoulder, it made him feel like he couldn’t breathe.

Thankfully, this heaviness only lasted for a brief moment, then the witch moved her hand up, pinching the boy’s ear, rubbing it—last time Zheng Qing was treated so ’frivolously’ was when he returned from Shanglin Garden—abruptly, Zheng Qing remembered the ’punishment’ the witch had mentioned before, causing his heart to beat uncontrollably a few times.

The ear is a sensitive spot for foxes, maybe that’s why she liked pinching people’s ears, the boy thought wildly, feeling how the delayed tenderness quickly replaced the cold reality, making the temperature in the study rise continuously.

”...This time you were lucky, Thomas isn’t truly a fallen wizard or a black wizard, so you came back to school unscathed.”

Su Shijun pinched the warlock’s ear, watching his face quickly flush red as if he were drunk, getting closer to him, her voice becoming dreamily lighter: ”Next time, you might not be so lucky... The good news is, Thomas’s defection won’t be on the paper, so you don’t need to worry about a new copycat appearing among the crows.”

Hearing this ’good news,’ Zheng Qing nodded slowly.

The School Works Committee had already talked to him about it at the school hospital—not even half a year, and First University had two active staff members ’suspected of defecting,’ which brought immense social pressure to the school governance system; a slight mishandling could trigger a governance crisis for the entire school.

Professor Emma, who had just been promoted to vice principal of the school, was also dazed by these two big issues.

Fortunately, she was originally the dean of Alpha Academy, and since Alpha had a close relationship with the Beta Town Post, the school was able to easily suppress the voices of the biggest ’opposition’ from the past.

Zheng Qing could fully imagine, if Old Yao had been the vice principal at the time, considering His special status, in such internal and external troubles, the public opinion within the Alliance would have probably exploded by now.

Su Shijun didn’t know, or didn’t care, that the boy in front of her was mobilizing all his thinking abilities, trying his best to divert attention. Her slender white fingers continued to knead the boy’s ear, questioning lightly, ”—So, do you know what you did wrong?”

It was this sentence!

Zheng Qing’s heart pounded twice more.

”I shouldn’t trust anyone lightly.”

He murmured, his voice slightly hoarse due to dryness, trying to retreat, yet his legs seemed welded in place, unable to move.

It wasn’t his fault; his rapidly beating heart was pumping excessive blood—because Thomas had drawn more than 1500 milliliters of blood from him on Saturday, he’d taken quite a few blood replenishing pills these days, and his blood was now abundant—hot blood flowed through his body, constantly searing his gradually anxious spirit.

Only his dry voice was a testament to his strong self-control.

Seemingly surprised by the boy’s willpower, or perhaps unsatisfied with his answer, the owner of Greenhill Mansion slightly turned her body, revealing a patch of skin white as jade behind her.

A few minutes ago, Zheng Qing had merely thought her backless, wine-red gown was beautiful.

Now he realized, the dress was beyond the description of ’beautiful.’ The witch, with just a few simple actions, endowed the dress with richer, more layered profound meanings.

”Is that all?”

Her eyes flowed like water, her long hair light and playful, a few strands mischievously floated up, landing on the warlock’s face, like birch bark kindling in winter, tiny sparks igniting a large fire.

The aromatic memory hidden deep within his consciousness voluntarily emerged, stimulating the warlock’s sense of smell, and his memory. Scalding emotions melted his consciousness like flame, merging many images in his mind—crimson lips by the lake, a touch of warmth on the cheek, and the naked female demon in the lab, etc.—into one.

”I shouldn’t have been taken away in front of everyone... and made you worry.”

He recalled the format Su Shijun used to help him summarize his mistakes last time, embedding this accident into it, without caring if the sentence made sense.

Meanwhile, as he spoke, he forced himself to keep his gaze on the well-crafted silk scarf butterfly resting on the witch’s waist, pondering whether it was part of the belt or the skirt.

Su Shijun seemed quite satisfied with his second answer, nodding slightly before continuing, ”...Do you remember what I said last time?”

”Doing things right will be rewarded.”

”The previous sentence!”

”...Doing wrong will face punishment.”

Before the word ’punishment’ was fully spoken.

Zheng Qing suddenly felt his limbs tighten, then became dizzy and lightheaded, realizing he was suspended midair. Looking around, he saw he was bound by four furry azure tails around his arms and legs.

He instinctively glanced at the witch’s skirt, clearly seeing the same number of azure ends emerging from beneath the witch’s floating hem.

It’s her tail!

She used her tail to hoist me up?

A subtle emotion flickered in the warlock’s heart. He tried struggling a bit; though his physical strength had greatly improved, he was still easily overpowered in the face of a Big Wizard’s true form.

Well, a true ’overpowering.’

”—How do you think I should punish you?”

Su Shijun looked up at the warlock suspended in midair like a star, a slight smile on her lips.

This was Zheng Qing’s first time seeing her from this angle, unexpectedly discovering that her face was smaller, and she was even prettier. Yet as his eyes drifted a few centimeters down from the witch’s exquisite face, a rush of hot blood suddenly surged into his brain.

Drip.

The blood Thomas worked so hard to extract was now leaving its host uncontrollably. It wasn’t Zheng Qing’s lack of willpower; it was that this big fox always had new tricks up her sleeve.

On the contrary, the instigator looked utterly surprised, clearly not expecting that this time the punishment would end up drawing blood.

”Dong Dong!”

The Head Maid of Greenhill Mansion stood at the door, politely interrupting the bloody event in the study—

”Miss, Young Master Zheng Qing, it’s time for dinner.”

The Head Maid firmly reminded them.

”Understood.”

The tails binding Zheng Qing’s limbs vanished the moment the Head Maid appeared, and the warlock was suddenly stiffly standing on the ground, manipulated by a strange magic, hearing the master’s earnest voice beside him:

”—This document is the purchasing contract for the shares of the Sorcerer Alliance - Moonlit Airline Company, which you asked me to buy for Poseidon. Sign your name, and then we’ll go have dinner!”

Looking at the old parchment in front of him, Zheng Qing suddenly felt like tears were welling up in his eyes.

He didn’t take the feather pen.

Instead, he raised his hand, wiped his nosebleed, and pressed a blurry fingerprint on it.
