Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2404: Chapter 2340: Diagnosed with Cancer

Upon her mentioning, Chiang Xiao remembered.

Isn’t that the guy working under Deng Qingjiang? Helping Deng Qingjiang with things.

”I remember now, what happened to him?”

Chiang Xiao knew Chen Yin suddenly brought up Guo Zitong with a purpose.

Chen Yin said, ”It’s like this, Sister-in-law, this Guo Zitong is quite capable. He has already resigned from Deng Qingjiang, so I want to hire him to help me here. What do you think, Sister-in-law?”

”Resigned? Why?”

Although Guo Zitong had nothing to do with Chiang Xiao and was considered a stranger, he was still someone working under Deng Qingjiang, so she would certainly pay attention.

”He said he has ideological differences with Deng Qingjiang, can’t stand his ways, so he didn’t want to work for him anymore.”

”Is that so.”

”Sister-in-law, if I hire him to help me, you don’t have any objections, right?”

When Chen Yin asked this, he was somewhat uneasy inside.

He was afraid Chiang Xiao would be upset because of this.

Chiang responded with surprise, ”Why would you ask me for my opinion if you’re hiring him to help?”

”Sister-in-law, have you forgotten? You’re investing, so by then, you’re also considered his boss. That’s why I have to ask you. I’m planning to let him manage the real estate part. But if Sister-in-law doesn’t agree, I’ll assign him to property management instead.”

Chen Yin said. He had evaluated Guo Zitong, felt he was truly suitable and skilled.

He had discovered that finding a compatible partner to venture into the business world wasn’t easy. Nowadays, most people want a stable job, thinking that entering the business world is unreliable. It’s not just a personal matter, as family members, spouses, and children can have opinions.

A slight mishap could easily lead to family conflicts.

For instance, he proposed dealing in real estate, many people said he was overthinking it, arguing that if you find a good position with job security, units even distribute housing, why spend money buying a house?

Wouldn’t that be foolish?

So many are saying he would lose so much he’d have nothing left.

Guo Zitong dared to follow him, saying this field might have a promising future.

Of course, if Chiang Xiao felt it unsuitable, he’d assign Guo Zitong elsewhere, though it would be wasting his talent a bit.

It was only now that Chiang Xiao remembered she was going to invest in Chen Yin’s real estate business.

”If you think it’s okay, I have no objections. Besides, haven’t I said? I’m just investing money, I won’t handle the rest. If you think he’s trustworthy and skilled, then hire him. I suppose finding people is not easy these days.”

”Sister-in-law is right, isn’t it? It’s truly not easy.”

Chen Yin breathed a sigh of relief and said to her, ”Today, Guo Zitong told me something. He said he saw Ye Wanqing going to Deng Qingjiang’s furniture city to find him. At that time, Deng Qingjiang wasn’t there, but Ye Wanqing insisted on going to his office, saying she could wait there.”

What exactly is Ye Wanqing up to?

Has she nowhere to go, wandering around looking for shelter?

”And then?”

”Later, she was dragged out by the people from the furniture city. I heard she was crying and shouting. Guo Zitong asked around and heard that Deng Qingjiang went to the police station to get Ye Wanqing out, saying Ye Wanqing almost killed Mrs. Deng who came to confront her. After going back, Mrs. Deng caused a scene and fainted again. After being sent to the hospital for a check-up, it was said she had cancer.”
