Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 1392: Chapter 1394 Our New House

The room was clearly newly renovated, though in a Chinese style, there was a touch of novelty and thoughtfulness in its design, with furniture all brushed in light peach wood color, yet it was cushioned with a light peach-pink, looking very bright and fresh overall.

On the wall hung her painting, which Meng Xinian liked after seeing it completed and asked to have; she didn’t expect it to be hung here.

A large bed inside.

”This is going to be our wedding room from now on, you shouldn’t stay in this room for the time being.” Meng Xinian only let her glance at it, then he pulled her out and turned towards another room.

Chiang Xiao speechless, ”Not allowed to live here?”

”The wedding room, of course, we should wait until we get married to stay there.” Meng Xinian was very serious: ”That bed, as the wedding bed, should indeed only be slept in on our wedding night.”

Chiang Xiao: ”...”

This is really enough.

He’s prepared all this now?

When did he prepare it? Why didn’t she know?

Wasn’t he always too busy? Where did he find the time to prepare all these?

Meng Xinian opened another door, meanwhile explaining, ”As for how I bought this courtyard, it was actually a bit difficult, remember when you told me while we were looking at shops? You said, if there was a chance, we could keep an eye on the houses in this area, and buy them if they were sold, I started paying attention only after what you said.”

Chiang Xiao exasperated, ”Brother Xinian, I was talking about those old houses on the other side of the main road.”

”Are the old houses over there better?” Meng Xinian asked in surprise.

Chiang Xiao almost wanted to kneel for him.

”It’s not that those over there are better, but I thought, only those houses there we could afford to buy!”

Those houses, how could they be better than these here?

How could they be comparable!

Those are just ordinary residences!

Here we have a quadrangle courtyard! It’s the type with a blue brick wall and corridors with upturned eaves! This isn’t just any ordinary quadrangle courtyard!

Such a courtyard, let alone now, even if kept exactly as it is thirty years later, it would still be an enviable top luxury mansion.

The courtyard she had in City M before, she already thought was nice, but compared to this one now, it just doesn’t hold up.

This courtyard, clearly is a notably crafted wonderful courtyard.

Moreover, the area she previously referred to, though only separated by that big road from here, it’s just a huge difference!

Once planned out, that area would be drawn out of the center, while this side...

She really, was about to kneel! This side is truly a land of luxury!

Meng Xinian shook his head and said, ”I had Chen Yin look at those houses over there, he said they weren’t too good; first, they are old, second the spacing between buildings is narrow, and third, the transportation isn’t as convenient as here; if you lived there, to go to the shop, you would need to cross one or two or three major roads, it may not look far, but actually walking takes up a lot of time.”

”So, you bought this side instead?”

”Yes, since he said that, I naturally gave up on the other side.”

Chiang Xiao with a speechless expression: ”How much money did you spend on this courtyard?”

”Quite expensive.” Meng Xinian held up two fingers.

”Two million?” Chiang Xiao widened her eyes. Now, if she could buy such a courtyard for two million, she would feel like it was a steal.

But as soon as she said the word ”two million,” Meng Xinian grimaced, and his two fingers bent and flicked her on the forehead.

Thump.
