Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

But the tall man in front of them was clearly more formidable than Jimmy, effortlessly disarming them of their rifles.

”All... right.”

Seeing the two soldiers staring at him, Zhang Beixing waved his hand.

”Your mission now is to get as far away from here as possible. Remember, don’t run towards the southeast.”

Hearing the tall man’s words, the two special forces soldiers quickly nodded.

They knew that staying here would simply mean certain death since their squad had been nearly wiped out without even knowing what their enemy looked like.

”Good luck.”

After those words, the two chose a direction and ran off swiftly.

Sensing that the two soldiers had safely left, Zhang Beixing turned his gaze southeastward. At that moment, roughly a kilometer in that direction, an intensely violent aura was rapidly moving around as seen in Zhang Beixing’s perception.

It seemed to harbor an intent to tear apart all life.

Zhang Beixing smiled faintly and murmured:

”Clearing the field, now it’s your turn.”

Having said this, Zhang Beixing’s figure shot out once again, leaping toward the southeast.

In the forest at this moment, a beast-like figure crouched on the ground, its limbs twisted, occasionally making hissing sounds from its throat, with saliva constantly dripping.

Its face, resembling a human, was extremely distorted, and its head held at various inexplicable angles, kept surveying the surroundings.

Suddenly, the creature’s twisted form paused, its head turned at a full three hundred sixty degrees, looking at the branches behind it.

Zhang Beixing’s figure appeared above, arms crossed, gazing with a slightly amused smile at the monstrosity below.

Despite the poor lighting, Zhang Beixing could clearly see that this creature was indeed different from previous modified humans from the BE organization.

Those humans at least retained some semblance of humanoid shape, but this creature, aside from its face looking somewhat human-like, showed almost no traces of humanity all over its body. Especially its posture, twisted and crouched, skin dry and resembling that of a starved corpse.

At this point, the creature had locked onto Zhang Beixing’s figure, but neither it nor Zhang Beixing made any direct move, simply observing each other.

Zhang Beixing was curiously intrigued, while the creature felt the person before it posed a lethal threat, prompting continuous low growls and emitting slight red glows from its eyes hidden within its black hair.

”Ugly thing, coming out to scare people at night like this.”

Zhang Beixing jestingly cursed at the creature upon seeing it.

Though the creature couldn’t understand what Zhang Beixing said, it retorted with a roar.

As the creature’s mouth opened wider, its saliva dripped in streams, falling to the ground continuously.

Zhang Beixing noticed the creatures hadn’t yet started fighting, looking disgusted, he swung into the air.

Instantly, the creature’s roar was interrupted as its head seemed to be powerfully slapped to the side, causing its body to roll several times over the ground.

After being struck back by Zhang Beixing’s phantom palm, the creature didn’t appear injured but seemed notably more irate.

It roared frantically at Zhang Beixing, as if trying to tear him to shreds, but Zhang Beixing wasn’t eager to act, scanning the creature with interest.

It appeared the earlier judgment was slightly mistaken.

The earlier strike was a mere palm, which even a standard Grandmaster wouldn’t just shrug off like it was nothing.

Now it seemed this monster had rather tough skin and muscles.

After a bout of roaring, the monster gradually quieted down, its gaze toward Zhang Beixing growing increasingly crimson.

Suddenly, the red light in the creature’s eyes flashed, it lunged at Zhang Beixing quickly, though its movement was far from graceful, even remarkably ugly.

With its twisted limbs, the creature clung tightly to the ground, moving incredibly fast, and in the blink of an eye, it reached the tree where Zhang Beixing stood.

Then, the creature pounced violently, mouth wide open, lunging at Zhang Beixing.

Though the creature moved fast, it seemed like slow motion to Zhang Beixing. With slightly raised energy, he didn’t dodge but instead kicked downward onto the creature’s face.

The Half-Step Extraordinary power was certainly not something the creature could withstand. Its twisted arm hadn’t even touched Zhang Beixing before it was sent flying backward, deeply embedded into the ground, and raising a cloud of dust.

This kick from Zhang Beixing was noticeably stronger than the first, applied with additional force, intending to test the creature’s limit of endurance.

Therefore, Zhang Beixing didn’t hurry, standing calmly outside the deep pit waiting for the creature to emerge.

To Zhang Beixing’s surprise, when the monster climbed out, its head had been kicked backward, then Zhang Beixing watched as the creature twisted its head back, the glow in its eyes intensified.

This time, without even making a sound, the creature crawled toward Zhang Beixing again.

Zhang Beixing raised an eyebrow at the monster, lightly shook his wrist, and as it lunged once more, Zhang Beixing swung his shoulder full-circle, hammering the creature in the face.

The creature was sent flying once again as expected, and this time even smashed through a tree as thick as a man’s waist.

Zhang Beixing rapidly shook his fist, dispelling the aura wrapped around his hand.

”Come on, why did you have to come at me? I didn’t want to use my hands.”

The previous scene of the creature’s saliva had been rather disgusting, and Zhang Beixing really didn’t want to touch it.

This punch from Zhang Beixing utilized eighty percent of his power, enough to kill a normal Grandmaster.

”I hope it didn’t die?”

Zhang Beixing murmured, gazing toward where the creature had flown, now completely silent.

As Zhang Beixing wondered, he suddenly paused, since in his perception, the violent aura started moving rapidly, not towards him, but toward Alba Manor.

What?

This action from the creature truly astonished Zhang Beixing, as previous mutants had eyes solely focused on killing and nothing else.

Unexpectedly, this creature knew how to flee and was clearly headed for Alba Manor.

With eyes narrowed, Zhang Beixing pursued the creature.

The creature moved quickly, but Zhang Beixing was faster. Upon reaching Alba Manor, Zhang Beixing could already see the creature’s back.

Still crawling uglily, it seemed to sense Zhang Beixing’s presence and picked up speed, heading purposefully forward.

Zhang Beixing realized the creature’s target wasn’t the most populated mansion in the manor but a small chapel in the corner.

If not for the creature rushing toward it, Zhang Beixing might have missed this insignificant building amidst the grand manor.

A wooden cross was placed atop its roof.

Seeing the creature close to the chapel, Zhang Beixing added force to his feet, while simultaneously sending a palm that once again grounded the rapidly crawling creature.

As the creature quickly crawled out of the ground, Zhang Beixing caught up, with tenfold power gathered in his hand, slashing down with a palm strike.

The moment Zhang Beixing’s palm landed, the creature’s previously twisted limbs turned smooth instantly, drooping softly by its sides, and the strike shattered the creature’s arm into pieces, rendering it useless.

Missing an arm, the creature roared furiously, its twisted head casting another gaze at the chapel just inches away from it, roaring once more.

Without the mood for further observation, Zhang Beixing prepared to crush the creature, figuring that he could always bring it home for research later.

Realizing it couldn’t defeat the man before it, the creature inhaled deeply and spat a mouthful of pus towards Zhang Beixing.

Zhang Beixing dodged, easily avoiding it, hearing a hiss of corrosion as the pus hit the ground.

Zhang Beixing’s brows furrowed slightly.

Why were these mutants always so disgusting?

As Zhang Beixing paused momentarily, the creature, using its remaining three limbs, distorted further and fled the manor.

Zhang Beixing coldly snorted and prepared to pursue.

But to Zhang Beixing’s amazement, as the creature leapt over the manor’s walls and entered the woods, the previously chaotic aura instantly vanished, as if it never existed, disappearing without a trace.
