Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Jimmy’s complexion was deathly pale at this moment, completely unlike what a Half-Step Grandmaster should look like.

This bizarre behavior piqued Zhang Beixing’s curiosity even more.

According to Zhang Beixing’s observations, although Jimmy’s aura was weak, his foundation was incredibly solid; he was a self-made Half-Step Grandmaster, entirely different from those who relied on potions.

This kind of Half-Step Grandmaster has an exceptionally solid foundation, and the biggest difference from those who rely on potions is mentality, a concept akin to what cultivators in China call insight. Though their physical condition may be the same, the mind is a crucial difference, and the manifestation of external power varies greatly.

What on earth could make such a steadfast Master like Jimmy lose his composure?

Zhang Beixing let out his own deep aura, which for ordinary people like White and Richard might only cause slight dizziness and a subtle change in Zhang Beixing’s demeanor, but someone like Jimmy, a Martial Artist, would clearly sense Zhang Beixing’s profound and vast aura.

Zhang Beixing did not intend to target Jimmy with his aura; rather, the Half-Step Extraordinary’s abundant aura could give Jimmy a sensation of stability, akin to the security that ordinary people feel, but much more apparent in a Martial Artist.

Indeed, in the moment Zhang Beixing released his aura, Jimmy’s previously vacant gaze gained some vitality, focusing on Zhang Beixing with a hint of surprise.

This young man before him seemed to be a Grandmaster, no, his aura was even more substantial than a Grandmaster’s. Jimmy found it difficult to judge Zhang Beixing’s exact strength; he only knew this young man before him definitely had the power to easily defeat him, yet he bore no malice.

”Minister Zhang, isn’t it?”

Jimmy slowly found a seat and sat down, his complexion a bit better than before, looking at Zhang Beixing and asking.

Before Zhang Beixing could speak, White, sitting beside him, explained to Zhang Beixing: ”Minister Zhang, Jimmy is a Martial Artist specially supported by our family; he hardly ever goes online and rarely watches the news.”

Then he continued to introduce Jimmy.

”Minister Zhang is the president of the Global Martial Arts Association, highly renowned internationally. It’s quite rare for someone like Mr. Jimmy not to recognize Minister Zhang.”

Jimmy nodded slightly, but his expression was still unchanged, as if unaffected by White’s praise or Zhang Beixing’s identity.

Zhang Beixing waved his hand, understanding that White wanted Jimmy to show some reverence towards him, but Zhang Beixing could see that Jimmy was a pure Martial Artist who respected strength; discussing fame likely would not interest Jimmy nor resonate with him.

”Mr. Jimmy, what exactly is that monster you mentioned, does it have a normal human appearance but is mentally confused, even violently frenzied?”

Zhang Beixing described to Jimmy what he had previously encountered with the mutant creatures created by the BE organization.

Upon hearing Zhang Beixing’s description, Jimmy shook his head without hesitation, speaking with a tone of seriousness:

”Minister Zhang, I know what you’re referring to, I’ve encountered BE organization’s mutants before, but this is definitely different from them.”

”Oh?”

”I initially thought the same as you, assuming it was just the old tricks of the BE organization with heightened mutation levels. You know, those people were all modified to the point of losing consciousness, able only to attack based on instinct. Even if they possess formidable strength, from our point of view, they aren’t difficult to deal with.”

Zhang Beixing nodded, agreeing with Jimmy’s words that those potion-created entities were easily dealt with by genuine Martial Artists, much less these instinct-driven monsters, the only tricky part being the necessity of killing them in one blow due to their lack of pain sensation.

Seeing Zhang Beixing’s acknowledgement, Jimmy continued.

”But this time, things exceeded my expectations. I faced this monster directly last night; there were mercenaries handling it before, but none who survived had seen the creature, so I was unaware of the exact situation.

I heard screams from the woods behind me; there weren’t many mercenaries left by then, and without much thought, I approached. In retrospect, it likely calculated things perfectly, using the narrow terrain to its advantage, and as I got close, I saw a mercenary lying on the ground wailing, with no apparent danger around, so I planned to go rescue him.”

At this point, Jimmy’s face grew pale again.

”As soon as I got close to the mercenary, he stopped screaming, and the monster sprung at me from beneath him. I initially mistook it for a wild beast and struck it with a casual palm, but as soon as our palms met, I felt something was wrong; the power was immensely strong, and I flew away immediately.

I crashed into a tree trunk and barely steadied myself; by the dim light, I could barely see the creature, its black hair nearly covering its eyes, but revealing a very ferocious red glow. Its face was noticeably human-like but its body entirely beast-like.

The clash seriously injured me, but the creature directly charged toward the manor, disregarding my wounds, determined to stop it. Luckily, although it had thought, it wasn’t very clear-headed, reacting with intense fury when disturbed. I barely managed to hold it off, and as the day grew brighter, the creature suddenly stopped engaging regardless of the attacks, running away down the mountain.”
