Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Chapter 449: Chapter 181: Encountering a Sports Department Girl, Physically Battling Nature! _6

Before that, the two used to chat frequently on WeChat, but these past few months, being too busy either with seclusion or with breakthroughs, the frequency of his communication with Sophia Zhou had drastically reduced.

Previously, it had always been Sophia Zhou who took the initiative to contact Zhang Beixing, seeking him out for casual chats, but now, it had been a long time since she had reached out to him.

The sudden realization of this problem came because Zhang Beixing encountered Sophia Zhou at the Yanjing military district!

Looking at Sophia Zhou, whose demeanor had grown increasingly valiant and heroic and whom he hadn’t seen for several months, Zhang Beixing felt somewhat dazed for a moment. Indeed, it had been quite some time since they had seen each other.

Since breaking through to the realm of a Great Grandmaster, he seemed to have been immersed in Martial Arts Training to the point that he had disengaged from daily life, becoming estranged from many people. This made Zhang Beixing realize something was amiss. Being overly eager for progress and detached from life wasn’t good, as it could affect his state of mind.

”How come you suddenly ran over to the military for further training?”

After finishing a day’s training, Zhang Beixing sat on the grass of the drill ground, watching the sunset slowly descend on the horizon. He lit a cigarette and casually asked Sophia Zhou, who was beside him and had also finished her training.

Hearing his question, Sophia Zhou scratched her head, somewhat at a loss for words. There were many reasons she had come to the military for further training, but the main one was that she felt somewhat inferior. As Zhang Beixing’s closest female friend, watching him go further with each step, changing more with each passing day, becoming gradually distant, without the chance to hang out and eat or shop together anymore, she felt a sense of urgency. She tried hard to keep up with Zhang Beixing’s pace, to find common ground for conversation, only to realize that no matter how hard she tried, Zhang Beixing was like a huge mountain always looming before her, making her able only to look up to his figure, but unable to get close. Especially after seeing people like Chen Rourou and Lin Siqi always surrounding Zhang Beixing, the gap in her heart grew even larger. It seemed she had no common domain with Zhang Beixing. She also realized something else: compared to these two girls, she had no advantage whatsoever! In terms of earning money, she couldn’t match Lin Siqi. In terms of hobbies, she couldn’t match Chen Rourou. Among Zhang Beixing’s female friends, she could be considered the most unremarkable! Therefore, after their last parting, she had focused entirely on training, pushing herself to reach the level of a Class One Athlete. Then, through her brother’s connections, she came to the military as an ”athlete soldier” to further her training, intending to find an opportunity to enlist. But unexpectedly, Zhang Beixing appeared, and he was a Martial Arts instructor!

”This...”

”Because I want to achieve some things, I guess...” Sophia Zhou mumbled, facing Zhang Beixing’s inquiry. Facing the ever-changing Zhang Beixing, she felt less confident.

Sensing that Sophia Zhou didn’t really want to continue discussing this matter, Zhang Beixing didn’t press her but smoothly changed the subject. ”I see. You must have had a tough time recently. How do you feel? Have you made much progress since entering the military for further training?”

”I’ve made a lot of progress. Beixing—no, Instructor Beixing—how about you? Although I haven’t been following what’s going on outside much recently, I feel that you’ve changed a lot over these past months.”

”We’re friends; there’s no need for such formality. You can keep calling me Classmate Beixing or just Beixing if you’d rather. As for the past few months, well, they have been alright... I’ve been...”

Zhang Beixing then related his experiences over the past few months to Sophia Zhou, who sat quietly by his side, listening attentively.

By the time Zhang Beixing had finished recounting his recent adventures, Sophia Zhou was so astonished her mouth could have fit an apple.

She clapped her hands, admiringly saying, ”You really are something, Beixing. Impressive!”

”It’s nothing much, really. Speaking of which, I was looking for you the other day, hoping to teach you my self-created Ultimate Skill. Are you busy later? If not, I can teach you now,” Zhang Beixing said.

Sophia Zhou shook her head. ”Not busy, not busy at all. Free-activity time isn’t over yet, and I don’t have anything else to do.”

”That’s settled, then. Come on, let me teach you.”

...

Standing up, he took her by the hand and started to pass on his ”Heaven and Earth Natural Technique” to Sophia Zhou. The same principle applied. Although it wasn’t going to make her an expert, it would definitely greatly benefit her physical training!

After confirming she had thoroughly memorized it, Zhang Beixing said goodbye to her.

In the days that followed, in addition to the regular training, Zhang Beixing would also take out an hour and a half each day to guide this young girl, Sophia Zhou. Under Zhang Beixing’s guidance, Sophia Zhou felt like she had recaptured the feeling of training and shopping with him, becoming close once again.

「Time quietly passed.」

Once Zhang Beixing had finished instructing the soldiers of the Yanjing military district and healed his injuries, the day arrived. The blizzard that had been forecast half a month ago was finally about to hit!

This time, in attempting to defy destiny, I will confront nature itself! Zhang Beixing resolved. I have a premonition that this will be the key to stepping into the Transcendent realm!
