Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Chapter 445: Chapter 181: Encountering a Sports Department Girl, Physically Battling Nature! _2

Riding the air!

Treading the wind!

The oppressive force of air pressure.

The pull of gravity.

Feeling the changes occurring in his body.

Zhang Beixing took a deep breath, striving to calm his mind to keenly sense nature, digesting the insights he gained from Heaven and Earth, and incorporating them into his Heaven and Earth Natural Technique.

Under such enlightenment, Zhang Beixing inhaled a breath of the Qi of Heaven and Earth into his abdomen, nurturing it within himself through the frequency of his breaths. This facilitated the Three-in-One Resonance of his Qi and Blood while also nourishing his organs, Qi, blood, and meridians.

Sometimes rapid, sometimes relaxed, the rhythm appeared chaotic, yet it seemed to follow some mystical rule—profoundly enigmatic!

As such, Zhang Beixing’s figure in mid-air gradually stabilized, seemingly merging with the sky. Though clearly falling, he appeared exceptionally relaxed and leisurely.

This act of prying into heavenly secrets had already shown initial results, granting Zhang Beixing a new comprehension of nature and even enhancing his Natural Breathing Technique. During this period, he descended another 1,000 meters.

「Meanwhile, on the ground.」

”What in the world are you saying? Instructor Zhang went through all this trouble just to complete Oizaki’s Eight Challenges?”

Near the Hidden Dragon Cave, Major Xu from the Shishi Air Force learned of Zhang Beixing’s ultimate goal from Huo Honghao. He exclaimed in shock, a look of horror on his face, ”Isn’t that something concocted in movies? How could it possibly be achieved in reality? Didn’t you try to persuade him?”

”Yes, but you’ve gotten to know Instructor Zhang’s temperament over the past couple of days. Once he sets his mind on something, not even a hundred oxen could pull him back. How do you expect me to persuade him?”

Faced with the question, Huo Honghao expressed his helplessness. If it were possible to persuade him, Huo Honghao would have already talked Zhang Beixing out of attempting Oizaki’s Eight Challenges. It wasn’t just because these challenges were truly beyond human capability, but also because of Zhang Beixing’s identity: the sole Great Grandmaster in 700 years, president of the Great Xia Martial Arts Association, and president of the Asian Martial Arts Association. More importantly, Zhang Beixing and Huo Honghao had a good relationship. The problem was, he simply couldn’t be persuaded! Once Zhang Beixing was determined, no one could intervene. This left Huo Honghao feeling quite helpless.

Hearing this, Major Xu recalled his interactions with Zhang Beixing over the past few weeks. It was just as Huo Honghao had described, leaving him feeling rather helpless. However, he reasoned that since Zhang Beixing had already mastered the essentials of parachuting in these two weeks, and with the support of the instructors Major Xu himself had arranged, it probably wouldn’t be a major issue.

With this in mind, Major Xu pulled out his walkie-talkie, pressed the button, and said, ”Aid One, Aid One, this is Major Xu. Are you ready to jump? If you haven’t jumped, report back.”

”...”

Hearing the voice from the walkie-talkie, on the helicopter, the instructor glanced at the tow rope in his hand, then looked at the now-empty cabin. He stiffly turned his head, his eyes meeting those of the baffled pilot.

A deathly silence fell upon the aircraft for a moment.

Then, with a trembling hand, the instructor picked up the walkie-talkie on his chest, swallowed hard, pressed the button, and said in a shaky voice, ”GULP. R-Report, Major Xu, this is Aid One... I haven’t jumped yet, but...”

”But what? What happened?” Major Xu asked, a foreboding feeling rising in his heart.

Then he heard the instructor say, ”But... I didn’t attach the tow rope, and Instructor Zhang... he jumped down first...”

Silence fell not only in the aircraft but on the ground as well.

After a moment, Major Xu sharply inhaled. With a voice that was almost a roar, he shouted, ”What are you saying? When did he go down?”

”About... 10 seconds ago?” the instructor said.

”F*CK!” Major Xu cursed. Why the hell didn’t he report this immediately? Waiting 10 seconds to mention it?

Parachuting from 6,000 meters isn’t a joke. Many soldiers, despite being theoretically perfect, often get overwhelmed by the high pressure and airflow during their first jump and pass out! Even if Zhang Beixing is incredibly strong, with terrifying physical conditioning, he can’t just be reckless like this! What if he faints up there?

”Everyone, immediately! Track Zhang Beixing’s signal and pinpoint his landing location!”

”Instructor Zhang, Instructor Zhang, this is Major Xu, reply if you receive, reply if you receive!” Frantically giving orders to the military personnel near the Hidden Dragon Cave, Major Xu spoke urgently into the walkie-talkie.

Not long after his inquiry, noises came through from the other side of the walkie-talkie—the sound of rushing wind. Barely audible, Zhang Beixing’s voice could be heard, ”This is Zhang Beixing. Major Xu, why are you in such a rush to contact me? Is something wrong?”

Hearing this voice, Major Xu finally breathed a sigh of relief, but then his anger flared. Still asking if something’s wrong? What else could it be? You were so focused on jumping, you left the instructor behind! You’re just lucky nothing happened. If anything had, from this altitude, we couldn’t have saved you! We’d only be recovering your body! he fumed internally.

Unaware of any of this, Zhang Beixing had discovered an even more pressing issue.
