Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 1048: Chapter 492: Overestimating Oneself

Is this low mood related to her?

If it were before, she would confidently pat her chest and prove that Kenneth Osborne’s heart was entirely tied to her.

But now, she doesn’t dare to be so sure.

Edward Foster and Evan Stetford’s thoughts, she can see clearly now, because they’ve opened their hearts to her, defenseless against her.

But Kenneth Osborne’s thoughts, she can no longer discern, as if shrouded in a gray fog, even her once sharp intuition seems to have regressed.

Ultimately, she knows, it must be because Kenneth Osborne has closed his heart to her and erected high barriers against her.

Is it because he saw her not outright reject Edward Foster and Evan Stetford?

But they’re just pursuing her, and she’s single, why can’t she give it a try?

Just because Kenneth Osborne can flirt with Spring Spencer and Caitlin Gilbert, does she have to hang herself on his tree?

If that’s the case, why did she even get divorced?

Since she’s divorced, according to the rules, it’s time to start anew.

The world is so vast, there are so many handsome men, she wants to go and see.

Lawrence Winters doesn’t realize she’s gradually becoming slightly rebellious, just feeling that her actions are ”completely fair,” with nothing wrong.

So, she smiles even sweeter at Edward Foster and Evan Stetford, her voice like honey: ”Evan’s drink capacity is quite impressive, but it seems you don’t usually attend social gatherings, while young Foster always frequents them, yet his drink capacity isn’t as good as yours...”

Evan Stetford laughed: ”Drinking capacity is natural, you can train a little with practice, but when faced with a master, you can only end up drunk.”

”That’s true, I remember reading somewhere that people with good drink capacity seem to have some sort of enzyme in their bodies that breaks down alcohol easily.” Lawrence Winters nodded, urging everyone to enjoy the food.

At this moment, Edward Foster suddenly fell drunk, the wine glass in his hand dropping to the floor, and he slumped onto the table, completely unconscious.

Mrs. Foster was both annoyed and amused, helpless with her son who faltered at this crucial moment.

She took out her phone and made a call.

Shortly after, two men came in, respectfully saying to Mrs. Foster, ”Madam, we’ll take young Foster back to rest.”

Mrs. Foster nodded, ”You received the address, right?”

”Received.” The two men looked like the Foster family’s security personnel.

Quentin Parker’s house has a special lock, but Lawrence Winters had previously entered Edward Foster and Mrs. Foster’s fingerprints, eye scans, and body data, so there shouldn’t be any problem opening the door.

However, Edward Foster is so drunk, verifying his eyes might not be easy.

Lawrence Winters stifled a laugh and said to the two men, ”You’d better wake young Foster up at the door, he can only open the door when he’s awake, it’s a smart door lock.”

The two men quickly looked at Mrs. Foster.

Mrs. Foster smiled and said, ”Listening to Lawrence is right, from now on, whatever she says, is as if Edward said it, you must remember.”

Evan Stetford’s eyes turned slightly dim.

Mrs. Foster’s actions have already regarded Lawrence Winters as a daughter-in-law...

Is there a need to be so eager?

Evan Stetford then thought of his own family, with a mother who passed early and only a strong-willed sister, though she cared for his weak and sickly self, but couldn’t take care like this.

Because this is maternal love, something no other emotion can replace or compensate for.

Kenneth Osborne felt a complex mix of emotions, involuntarily clenching his fists.

He wants to move out, truly wants to move out.

He can’t bear to see Lawrence Winters flirting with other men right under his nose.

This time, he originally let go of all pride and idol burdens, shamelessly coming over, just wanting to fight for a chance to spend time alone with Lawrence Winters, undisturbed by external forces.

He was confident that, given this time, Lawrence Winters, who still had feelings for him, would definitely be drawn back into his arms.

But he didn’t expect Evan Stetford and Edward Foster to be so cunning, not even leaving this small gap, rushing in and completely shattering his and her world.

If that’s the case, why stay here?

Only making himself sad and affecting his mood, unable to focus well on dealing with the lawsuit.

Kenneth Osborne drank a few cups of sulking wine and started feeling tipsy.

Taking advantage of the drunkenness, he opened his phone, found a few nearby hotels, and called them one by one, booking a room once he found a suitable one.
