Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 1021: Chapter 482: Even Cold and Distant People Have a Thoughtful Side (Second Update)

Quentin Parker finished speaking, and Lawrence Winters immediately agreed cheerfully: ”Thank you, Mr. Parker!”

Ruby Sheldon was so angry she almost lost her shape, clenched her fists, and shrieked: ”...Didn’t you say you wouldn’t live with men? How can you agree to live with Mr. Parker?! Do you have to be so hypocritical and snobbish?!”

Aiden Sheldon, who had just sat down: ”...”

Autumn Stetford tugged at her lips, pinched Ruby’s hand, and apologized to everyone: ”Sorry, sorry, my Betty is always straightforward and says whatever comes to mind. She doesn’t know how to avoid taboo. Don’t mind her, don’t mind her...”

Lawrence Winters glanced at her drawn lot slip and smiled, saying: ”I’m not refusing to live with men; I can’t live with six men together! That’s a different matter, right?”

She glanced at Quentin Parker again and continued, ”Moreover, Mr. Parker just said I could live at his place, but he didn’t say he’d stay there as well... Mr. Parker is the Supreme Judge for our competition this time; he needs to stay with the judges...”

The last sentence was just a guess by Lawrence Winters.

Actually, Quentin Parker didn’t necessarily have to stay with the judges to act as a judge.

Nowadays, technology is so advanced, remote meetings are long popular.

She was merely making a point.

However, Quentin Parker didn’t object, responding coolly and indifferently: ”I have more than one house in Arcadia City, and I don’t live with others.”

Ruby Sheldon immediately teared up again.

She didn’t understand why after Lawrence Winters appeared, she was no longer the focus of the crowd, the center of attention everyone chased after...

That Lawrence Winters, really clashed with her destiny!

The host quickly intervened to save the situation, saying: ”Okay, everyone’s schedules are arranged, go back and pack your luggage, then gather at the airport for departure!”

A few contestants in the small conference room, including Mr. Zhuge, Daoist Wang, and Daoist Quan, stood up, waved goodbye to everyone, and went back to pack their things.

Ruby Sheldon still wanted to cry, but she was pulled away by Autumn Stetford.

Aiden Sheldon followed behind with an unhappy expression.

He felt Ruby was just there to embarrass herself today and had never been so eager and so successful at it.

This kid really needs educating.

And Kenneth Osborne walked with Lawrence Winters to Quentin Parker and said faintly: ”Mr. Parker, would you mind letting another person accompany Lawrence on your flight? I’d like to stay with him.”

Quentin Parker: ”...”

He scrutinized Kenneth Osborne, a gleam of understanding flashing in his beautiful peach blossom eyes.

Lawrence Winters blinked and quickly waved his hand: ”No need, no need! Mr. Osborne doesn’t have to come with me; I’m going there specifically to engage in ’quirky and unconventional’ methods—I fear I’ll anger Mr. Osborne into illness!”

”That place looks luxurious, but in reality, it’s sparsely populated with vast lands and many trees, adjacent to a patch of primeval forest. If anything happens to you, someone will help you call the police.” Kenneth Osborne took out the geographic information he just researched on Melany Community in the suburbs of Arcadia, California, and showed it to Lawrence Winters.

”Moreover, this community has had cases of people mysteriously disappearing over the past hundred years; I wouldn’t feel safe having you stay there alone.”

Kenneth Osborne spoke frankly, like the caring older brother next door to Lawrence Winters.

Lawrence Winters’ eyes flashed slightly, and she turned her gaze away. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ

If she had known this today, why did she do that back then?

Lawrence Winters thought somewhat bitterly.

Quentin Parker didn’t disagree, nodding slightly: ”It’s okay for you to stay; the house is quite big, and two people can fit comfortably. However, if it’s purely for safety reasons, it’s unnecessary—the safety measures in my house are very comprehensive.”

He then asked Lawrence Winters: ”Do you agree?”

Lawrence Winters stuck both hands into her pockets and said coldly: ”It’s Mr. Parker’s house; he agreed, so I won’t object. But I must set three rules with Mr. Osborne.”

Kenneth Osborne perked up: ”Go ahead.”

Lawrence Winters raised one finger: ”First, I’m going there to compete; it’s also my work. I hope you respect my work and remain calm, without making a fuss when encountering anything unusual.”

Kenneth Osborne: ”Okay, no problem.”

”Second, it’s just the two of us there, and you have to prepare food for me.”

Kenneth Osborne replied with a hint of humor: ”Okay, that’s no problem too.”

”Third, if I bring friends over to discuss, hold meetings, or even throw parties, you mustn’t express your opinions or participate.”

Kenneth Osborne looked at her and said, ”I wasn’t planning on entering your circle, anyway.”

Lawrence Winters: ”...”

Quentin Parker glanced at his watch, ”Alright, you can set your rules once you arrive at the place, why rush now?”
